  1. That's a good suggestion. There's plenty we don't know though. Hundreds of hours of research worth. My running list is already much longer than I intend to tackle on my own.
  2. If that's not a sweeping generalisation, nothing is. I believe the clinical term for your condition is called "arrogance" Don't be naive, this is runescape.
  3. I'm making a list, does anybody have anything in mind? :P Even if it's not 100% novel, I don't mind hearing suggestions.
  4. You do, but it doesn't use arrows, it works for ammo like the crystal bow but degrades like barrows. So that being said it is cheaper per shot then Karils and Handcannon, which is ironic because it has lower DPS. to clarify, it degrades like a chaotic. barrows was a pre-tower of life update, as is crystal bow. In which case there is a separate compartment where the data of the degradation value is stored. Post-tower of life items such as dragonfire shields, chaotic weapons, effigies, etc. Have their data stored on the individual item. A 75% degraded barrows item, will stack with another similar 75% degraded barrows item in the bank. Dragonfire shields, chaotic items, effigies, etc. will not. As they are a post-tower of life item.
  5. I appreciate it. Always research that can be done. I really should get a list of stuff together lol. I'm working on a list, but it's still very very short. You can find the link in my siggy. There will be a thread called research.
  6. the result is for players we don't like, to hate the game and quit :P that seems like quit the optimal outcome to me.
  7. True, but it's not going to fall so much as to make up for the price of arrows. That will never happen. zaryte bow doesn't use arrows, just to clarify.
  8. handcannon is a better weapon than zaryte bow, it just costs a lot more money to fire. Karils also has better damage output, just slightly lower accuracy and firing range, and more expensive to fire. In short, the zaryte bow is a weapon yuo want to use when you want to save money. Of course to save money, you must first put in a few hundred million GP into the weapon first. And hope it doesnt crash in price. hand cannon base damage output is about 1.195x the zaryte bow karils crossbow is about 1.11x the zaryte bow the zaryte bow does have higher accuracy though it is about 1.14x the karils crossbow, and 1.12x the hand cannon. The accuracy increase is trivial though. Handcannon is always better. zaryte bow is only very very rarely better than karils. You'd need your accuracy WITH the zaryte bow to dip to around 50-60%, which practically never occurs during slayer. Only monster I can think of is mithril dragons, in which case why the heck are you ranging.
  9. Personality tests? hogwash. but disturbingly popular amongst the ladies.
  10. You mean where people post useful advice and the op throws it back in their face? I've never seen someone troll people by telling them to use the best methods available to them. People don't seem to even know what the word troll means. "In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response" So you're saying is that people post efficient setups and training methods to provoke the OP? Why did you leave out the last half of my quote where I said that way more people are helped than get trolled? I'm not saying posting efficient set ups is done to provoke the OP, im saying that on rare occasions the OP asks for something specific and gets his answer in the form of do something else. Which is off-topic. In a topic about what way of runecrafting for cash is the best if the response is go kill frosts that is off topic. Which by the definition you kindly linked is trolling. A response that wouldn't be trolling would be "blood runes with tabs is x gp/hr, however this is a relatively low amount for income and y would be a better option for you if your goal is money". All that to say my point of the post your quoted was that actual trolling is rare, it just happens to stick in our memories longer. Physiologically because the chemicals released in your brain in response to something that gets your angry are about 7 times more potent (take 7 times longer) to be processed and removed than the ones released to something nice happening. I speak to cheeze dude on skype like 24-7 cheeesy's just offended by your use of the word efficiency trolled he agrees with everything else you've said.
  11. This is using stews correct? also quickly how does the log out trick work with stews please? log out, log in, do some potions, but logout before you stay in for one minute.
  12. The problem is that warning somebody for being wrong is not the way things should work. Hell half of the users of the forum would be banned by now for posting wrong information at one point or another. Warning for being wrong is not in the rules and will never be. It is up to the more respectable users to be the 'bigger man' and walk away. If you can disprove their claim in a sensible and non offensive manner by all means do, but if you cannot and their argument is subjective, say so and move on. To you their argument may be 'blatantly wrong', but unless you prove it, they won't know. Danq, the following statement is not intended as a flame or anything. This is directed to the efficiency community. How many of the "efficiency trolls" in the community would cite Danq as a major source of their frustrations, and likewise a major motivation to vent their frustrations on anti-trolls. Raise your hand if you, both support efficiency and consider Danq to be a major instigator of efficiency based flame wars. Not because he actually tries, but because Danq unwittingly says things that are horribly rude and patronizing. And once again, my apologies Danq. I would try to word this differently, but I'm sure we've already spoken on the matter far too many times in the past.
  13. primal baxe is generally not acceptable. We consider it a pro's tool. It is expected that everybody use a prom 2H unless we think you understand what it takes to put a primal baxe to good use. IE near constant turmoil flashing, and understanding of what monsters are weaker to the primal baxe, relative to other weapons.
  14. use friend cc dung smith the can help you getting prom 2h Prom mauls aer allowed if your attack level is low enough In your case, it is not :P so yes prom 2h is mandatory for you.
  15. Firemaking spreadsheet is back up. Figured I'd do this one quick, because there was some firemaking related content in the prayer spreadsheet anyways. but yeah, it's back, and thicker then ever. Took me about 3 hours in total updating the firemaking spreadsheet. But now you have shade burning, firemaking brawlers, penance horns, pyre lords, etc. and daemonheim firemaking and you have the grimy seal of approval that my FM brawler/penance horn/flame glove/fire ring/pyre lord data is more accurate than what you will find on rs wiki. Love, Grimy <3 Hopefully I'll have, more useful spreadsheets uploaded soon though :P
  16. to clarify, it's not a bargaining chip if you intend to move them regardless of what they do :P
  17. Seeing as the admins decided to remove my spreadsheet thread altogether, I'll relocate the news here :P Herblore and Prayer spreadsheets are back up for the moment. It's going to be a while before the others are up, as I want to make some changes before I post them back up. That means research and etc. Ectofuntus, prayer brawlers, and shade burning added to the prayer spreadsheet for example ;) and both spreadsheets have an updated coding system. They're a bit a less clunky, and won't break when Jagex introduces a few new items into the game. And a few other toys as well. Input spreadsheets are completely gone. You're going to need to download the spreadsheets now to change inputs On another note, a few server crashes seem to have occured in the last 24 hours. I think I'd recommend not DGing around game updates. server crashes seem a bit more common around these updates if today is any indication. So, I'd recommend the same to other DGers. Personally haven't keyed in about two weeks though. Going to a convention sometime over the next two weeks. So won't have any floor pics then.
  18. total xp = total xp gained since the player joined the clan. If the player joins the clan and has 200mil total xp, but doesnt gain xp for the rest of forever he counts as 0 xp.
  19. id wait for research b4 making that statement :P I've been told it doesn't. I never tested it.
  20. It's because of typing more than 5-6 lines in a short amount of time. Count to 3 like every other dungeoneerer and save people 450+ hp damage. good teams should probably learn to do it on 2 though. I always support, faster, riskier strategies :P
  21. It's permanent. I lost my binds in a server crash once in the past as well. I spoke to mod Chrisso about it. He responded with, and I quote "Brb need to get hotpockets" Anyways Jagex bashing aside. Sorry to break the news to you =\ Good luck on your next hood.
  22. Due to the events that transpired above, I propose that DGS implement a new protocol. Tentatively named, The Jedihime Protocol. Due to spam filter, players will now count down from 1 to 2, instead of 1 to 3 at levers.
  23. Nice! but just to clarify, is this a medal request? Because that's generally the traffic I get through here. Yeah for Weirdo since he was keyer. Also i vouch for him, he is good. Hope he did good on his review :) Well good job :) just unfortunately for him there is no 23 min medal :P But good job nonetheless.
