we don't actually know that
-
Dgs knew. Sorry I forgot that you people are the undisputable Gods of the Dungeoneering skill. Nah it's just that 3bo and all the other idiots that are ignorant didn't listen to us when we found out desperado doesn't work with hex. "Desperado doesn't work with hex, we've done lots of tests an-" "Yes it does L" And who informed DGS that desperado didn't stack with hex? I did, aw yeah, booyah. In the defense of 3bo. Andrew Calcs did research on Necrolord, showing that desperado worked with Hex. And he was probably the one to inform 3bo. And they, including andrew calcs, assumed this meant desperado worked with everything. Problem was that, desperado did not stack with pretty much anything else.

I didn't say they would be a rousing success. The barbie dvds aren't phenomenal, yet everyone seems to know of them regardless if they like it or not. And they're popular amongst children, enough to make good business sense to keep releasing new movies. Does that not indicate an increase in exposure? The Gower brothers are still majority shareholders and they won't let their game tank for the sake of a few movies. If it does go through as a straight-to-dvd release, I can't imagine it hurting the company. Didn't they lose majority recently?

Aww yeah our rep is growing -
Runescape doesnt have "epic" quality characters or stories, its doomed to fail. If WoW couldnt do a movie neither will runescape, and if runescape does it will be sitting next to the barbie dvd's They do have the signature heroes we haven't seen yet. But I'm holding my breath. I can't imagine either Hasbro or Goldmann Sachs can pull this off well.

was just thinkin the same thing ;D -
If you use a tier 11 forgotten mage as a measure. New desperado is +10% damage output over previous desperado and new desperado is +6% damage output over sniper. This delta is smaller for lower level mages, and higher for things like bosses.

The first time I ever did any "pro" dungeoneering was at around 90 dg with Grimy's perm team. It was an abandoned floor. 17 minutes. I had no idea what was going on the entire time. I basically ran around at random trying to be helpful (but failing) and ggsing when told. It's a lot to take in at first, but you get used to it quickly. Can't wait to see you in the clan chat. Oh and obtaurian was hoodless, the poor sap. -
No pots or prayer. Do c6 5:5 small furnished Sagittare floors, and definitely hunt for them immediately. EDIT: Grimy disagrees with me . . . let the witchhunt begin . . . The problem I see with that is that I don't think I'd be able to find 4 people to hunt for Sagg arrows with me =[ Jimi is spoiled, he can get 4 people to drop hunt with him whenever he wants. Being a head of DGS lets you do that :P. Hence i recommend patience.
-
wait for drop from trio. Also don't data collect with until you have sag arrows. please don't pot/pray when collecting max hits. But if you need to, tell me when you do it.
-
^^ dont forget, you get better accuracy with a bow on mages than with melee. So the end dps on a tier 11 mage is worth about 3-4 two-handers.
-
Could you explain how the effect of the sniper ring actually works with hex? Am I correct in my assumption that the 'sniper ring effect' leads to the hit being equal to what the max of the bow would be vs a non-magic monster? If not, how does it work? If my assumption is correct, surely increasing sniper class tier would reduce overall DPS? Or is my assumption correct but the effect of hitting max (non-mage) 50% of the time is significantly better than hitting non-max (mage) all of the time? I'd appreciate it if you could explain the reasoning behind what you said about the tier of the sniper ring and the damage done too please? Sorry for so many questions, I prefer to know the reason why one thing is better than another, rather than just accepting the answer :P P.S. If you somehow know the rough increase in DPS of tier 10 sniper over, say beserker ring that'd be interesting to know too. No, the sniper effect gives you the max vs the magical monster. Except on a few bosses it seems, it's being researched. But pretty much anything with magic level, sniper will give you the magical max, not the non magical max.

Sniper ring scales harshly, because it forces you to not use rapid firing mode. On a plain shortbow (non hex): Tier 1 sniper = 0.9x dps of plain rapid Tier 1 desperado = 1.093x dps of plain rapid Tier 5 sniper = 1.0x dps of plain rapid Tier 5 desperado = 1.131x dps of plain rapid. tier 10 sniper = 1.125x dps of plain rapid tier 10 desperado = 1.178x dps of plain rapid. Sniper is one of those tier 10 or bust rings. Hexhunter is seemingly subject to a number of "ring rules", which is currently being researched.

ooglog pool + shotput tokens should be the best if you're not going for variety.

Thanks for the board, it's more or less what we forwarded to the Admin team. The separation started because of mistrust in the admins and moderators. It's still too early to know if the admins and mods can effectively moderate a Metagaming board. We'd also like to see what tip it admins have in mind for changing the moderator transparency issues that were a problem in the past. But for now, we will forward our two biggest upcoming projects, for the sake of testing the waters. And members of our community are encouraged to partake in TIF's new metagaming H&A But more on those two projects, when the details are laid out and written down.

Actually the game rolls 2 dice. Accuracy, and Damage. So if I'm casting fire surge, I roll a number between 1 and 280. BUT if my accuracy roll isn't high enough, i splash. So A splash is 0 damage dealt. But that does not mean my damage roll = 0. -

Blitzer is better damage output, because of less overkill loss Blazer is better for kiting a boss (IE dreadnaut). Blazer is also better for rune Conservation, IE if you have a limited number of fire runes to go along with your celestial catalytic staff. As a keyer, Blazer is better for me since It let me pop off a single high damage shot while running around. Also the keyer always bosses, and blazer is generally better for bosses. Blazer's also better if you intend to learn how to fire surge with a catalytic staff. Otherwise, blitzer. Just to add to this, blazer's spec is "independent" from accuracy I believe (at least, it can spec when you hitted a splash with the normal hit - it might still be that the spec has it's own accuracy roll) - so for bosses/places where you often miss (*looks at necrolord*) and when you have low magic level *looks at own* the blazer will beat the blitzer. I've been told the opposite of blazers splash being independent from accuracy. I'll know for sure when i test it myself. edit: Did a quick test, Blazer special effect IS affected by accuracy. you won't blaze if you splash. -

We're getting a trivia list of useful information built up. And we're plugging it with a randomizer spreadsheet. So a random trivia bit will be placed on the guide once each week. Just making the list atm. The trick is making the trivia obscure enough that nobody will just know the answer. but not making it tooooo out there. IE somewhere between: "What path does a fishing ferret take" (a lot of people know this) and "What is the approximate accuracy of a primal 2h on a forgotten tier 11 ranger at 99 attack, aggressive attack style, with no prayers, no potions, and no other stat boosting gear" (I liked this one, but the rest of DGS told me it was too out there </3) -

Maybe not 6 months, but I would recommend a timeframe that the majority of scapers would consider ridiculous. -

The guidelines are more strict and there's a warning on the DGS page. Here, I'll copypaste it: - As a relatively small dungeoneering clan, we are not able to accommodate everyone. - We have very high standards and are quick to kick/ban. - Please do not use the clan chat without reading and understanding the guidelines. - Do not PM admins about joining DGS. - Do not join DGS before 70 dungeoneering. Any suggestions? Frankly, I don't mind 100+ randoms joining as long as they adhere to the guidelines are willing to learn, but only because they'd more than likely need only a little instruction here and there. I am definitely not willing to teach just any random who stumbles into the chat - that service is reserved for Tipiters only. This is just my opinion though. We're getting so many randoms because we're currently #9 (was #7 last night) on the clan highscores for exp gains and #5 for dungeoneering exp gains. Ultimately, it's going to be hard to weed out the randoms without a proper level requirement. I really wish we could just make our clan page private, but alas . . . Again, does anyone have any suggestions for how we could deter RSOFers? why bother with this clan thing what benefit does it give to dgs? if all it does is attract stupid randomers then I don't really see the point The mass advertisement will serve a purpose soon enough. *nudge nudge wink wink*
