  1. it's horrendous against high tier forgotten rangers and mages and i highly doubt it's as good on skeletons/ankous as you make it out to be. Xpx's told me ghosts are weak to crush, so the rapier would be pretty bad on them too. it's only 6% better dps than a primal battle axe. And it trades off the much more valuable crush attack style, for stab. Stab being redundant with ranged/hexhunters and occasionally redundant with magic. and of course you lose like ~55 slash attack bonus.
  2. I doubt many people will take you if you do not have a melee weapon.
  3. The research deemed it complete garbage. Specifically the researched deemed that there are virtually no scenarios where tactician is ever better. I mean there might be a few, if you're like level 50 atk and lvl 1 strength fighting a primal warrior, tactician ring might be better if the rounding error favors it. But all of the scenarios where the tactician ring can be better are completely ridiculous and are more or less never the case. but we probably sound like a broken record on this.
  4. swordfish are about 70 hours to 99 cooking wines are about 20 hours to 99 cooking. wines cost you 20 mil more. The breakoff income of swordfish vs wines is 400k gp/hour? that should be doable, even in f2p.
  5. by that logic you might actually be worthwhile to go with a spear. it really depends on the stab defense ratings of various monsters. unfortunately I don't have that information available right now.
  6. primal rapier's only +6% dps over primal baxe, i don't see that as worth the it entails as a primary weapon bind.
  7. With 1 def, you might as well bind Primal Maul, Celestial Cat Staff, and a sagittarian shortbow/empowered fire staff until you can get a blood necklace there really aren't too many binds that will do you much good. you could always cross your fingers that the knowledgebase is wrong and slayer drops such as boots/precision bracelets don't actually require defense levels to equip.
  8. I'm tired of people not looting herbs and blue charms during a floor. So i made this: Code that marks herbs and blue charms when you right click Of course the same code could just as easily mark any other given item. Right now I have it set to an 8x8 pixel yellow block that is not transparent, but you can click through it (thanks to wicked's clickthroughfunction) If you prefer, the block can be made bigger, smaller, different degrees of transparency, or a different color, etc. For the sake of minimizing computation time, it only searches for ONE herb, searched from top to bottom. I could make it mark more than one herb, but that may not be worthwhile. as of right now, the code does not lag my computer at all I'd prefer to keep it that way. Anyways, pretty sure TIF still thinks AHK functions have potential for macroing. So if you want to use this code you'll need to contact me through "that other forum" And thanks to wicked for teaching me how to make a GUI lol
  9. the character's will idle every X amount of time. And will ignore marks if they are standing too far away. But if you are aware of these two properties, you can control the three characters with good precision. I look forward to future multi-NPC quests anyways. Granted Jagex should really fix some of these bugs. But I'd rather have more multi-NPC content over bug fixes.
  10. a lights out solve is a common computer class project, you can find them on a few university websites. http://www.whitman.edu/mathematics/lights_out/
  11. the only thing that was good about the second one, were the lame and cheesy jokes. Very penguin/Void-quest esque. A quest that only has lame and cheesy jokes doesn't fly with me <_< The first one was good. Jagex should have more party banter in quests. A lot of other game companies already do that and it's a good idea. The third one was also great because Thok is just such a loveable oaf.
  12. Nah, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of guys at TEF could do a better job of moderating than you guys, given the opportunity. You want, so much, for us to respect you. But you want that respect without any tangible effort from your behalf. That's not how it works.
  13. OH PLEASE DO IT! A separate window of the dg map updating itself(probably every 30 seconds) would be almost infinitely useful for dungeoneering- knowing where everything is all the time would, in all likelyhood, also decrease the need for the key map. I know of atleast a few people who are having major problems with using the map in dungeons(myself included, usually never looking at the map in a dungeon). The problem with this is that you actually need to open up a world map in order for a DG world map to update. And opening up a map in DG is not instantaneous, so this kinda gets in the way of your DGing. Would be better with a team interface though, cuz then only one person would need to do it at a given time. I was thinking something like google docs to paste images. but pasting on google docs with AHK isn't very convenient at the very least, but perhaps wicked knows more than me on this one. another problem is a lot of peoples computers/internets don't like handling google doc & dungenoeering at the same time. I tried this a while ago. People like obtaurian would get a lot of door lag.
  14. that'd be such a pain in the ass to code. Agreed, I generally know where doors are/team knows where, but it really helps make it easier to always be able to see it and think on the run, rather than having brief seconds when im not under attack running through rooms. In all honesty, I personally think that this would be more useful than Wicked's program, just because it costs 0 time to use (a big plus when you get good enough to key fast floors) and displays the map constantly, with minimal input to make it update real-time. my code sucked. It lacked clickthrough ability (which thanks to wicked's code can be added in like 5 seconds) It was hardcoded, so i can't just share it with another player unless they share my same exact computer resolution and window settings. And it only updated when instructed to do so, not automatically. It's really confusing when you're running around a map and the red dot on the map is showing where you were 2 minutes ago. anyways I'm gonna take a closer look at wicked's code myself. I like knowing how stuff works. And maybe I'll add stuff like, making the yellow box have a big Y in it so I don't get Gold and Yellow confused.
  15. :wall: I thought posting bad advice was considered trolling now. Next time I'll be sure to recommend something I have no idea about instead of something I have personal experience in and know to be far better than what OP had in mind. don't misunderstand, soma's one of the most knowledgeable nexers I am aware of.From my understanding though, he's had experiences with players in Nex Specialists passing false information around.
  16. no you're not, now stop deleting our posts if you want to prove otherwise.
  17. An eye for an eye, this started because of certain admins and mods slamming us with the same holier than thou approach. Get over it. If admins like you don't apologize for your actions, we'll continue assuming that you negatively of us, and will continue treating us as such. This is an issue of trust. That's not one you fix by accusing us of having poor attitude. To which we responded that no functions in general can inherently follow a 1:1 rule But blacklisting all functions is fundamentally stupid. Did you know I could program scripts into my google that would allow anyone opening my spreadsheets to bot? Same applies for excel. Possibly even microsoft word with sufficient knowledge. Anything with scripting capability can do this. And there's a lot more programs with scripting capabilities than you probably realize. And for the record we did address this to be our opinion on this matter.
  18. I could rewrite your file in google doc, since that's what I'm more comfortable using. I'll add in a hiscore extractor and some other code I think you'll find useful. And of course, it's a google doc so people won't need to download a document to use it. I'll also see if anybody has any relevant data. I asked a few people to consider logging unblocked task data for me a few months ago. I'll double check to see if they got anywhere with that. So, we should talk. do you have skype by any chance? I'd prefer that.
  19. it just sounds like he hasn't found a hood yet. oh wait he has 3 binds, nevermind. yeah he'd probably want to consider otherwise if he's just fresh to lvl 100 dg.
  20. While I believe that you might be frustrated Tripsis, I don't think you speak for the rest of the admins in this statement. Apologies from are nice, but they aren't going hold weight unless they come from the mouths of the people our community holds grievances against.
  21. Does blastbox increase max hit? if you fire 5 spells uninterrupted (no walking, no eating) the 5th hit will do more damage.
  22. it's such a weak connection though. Sooo many games have avatars in the top left. I mean not many games are going to stick them three quarters from corner of the screen. If you're going to make that loose of a connection, you can probably connect any game to another. Hey look, halo wars was a point and click game! runescape must be copying halo wars. Hey look, windows Vista is "point and click" It must be copying runescape since runescape was made earlier. Omg windows vista puts my desktop icons at the top left. You can right click in windows vista too!?! omg totally stealing runescape. See?
  23. uh, only because the avatars are at the top left?
  24. Owen's kept Mod Chris L's hair style, but it's gone from blonde to black.
