  1. New data just in (courtesy of balthalmel), we've determined the approximate defense of max level range zombies. (they seem to have ~lvl 99 defense and 0 slash armor). Anyways based on this data, a plain primal battle axe > a plain primal rapier on them, even with turmoil flashing. anyways assuming this + turmoil flashing on a max level range zombie. primal baxe has a dps rating of about 84.68 to a primal rapier's 84.35. this is based on ~400 hits worth of data, so there is still a reasonable margin of error. but it doesn't really look good for the primal rapier if it's inferior to the battleaxe even when turmoil flashing. This make the primal rapier only really useful for maybe shades (need more data on their defense) and for stabbing. there might still be some potential in the 2h-rapier combo, but I have my doubts about that combo. And I definitely don't think DGS should authorize that if the player does not have a primal 2h. Blutters, stop being stubborn and just break your rapier bind already.
  2. we're releasing the AHK code for the drop highlighter: I highly recommend using this code, and I will be using it myself. It highlights searches for the words "blue" or "grimy" when you right click, and highlights that word. This makes looting herbs and blue charms in drop piles in daemonheim easier. Wicked cleaned up and revised the code for us. Note that you must have wicked's functions also installed on your AHK for this to work! If you don't know where to get wicked's functions, pm any dgs admin or just ask around about it. This code only runs if your active window has the word "runescape" in it It won't waste CPU searching for blue charms and grimy herbs when you're not actively playing runescape in other words :P could make it highlight keys, but it is my personal preference not to have that in my code.
  3. depends on how much you value herblore xp/extreme potions :P assuming you consider herblore xp to be worthless, as you are 99 herblore then: 15 mil gp/hour for 1 dose per minute 5 mil gp/hour for 1 dose per 2 minutes 2.5 mil gp/hour for 1 dose per 3 minutes 1.5 mil gp/hour for 1 dose per 4 minutes
  4. handcannon explosion rate seems to halve every 7 firemaking levels. if you were 99 firemaking, it would only cost 400k gp/hour to fire a handcannon. half the price of karils crossbow for better dps. so that's pretty underpriced atm, assuming you have 99 firemaking.
  5. it only costs 36k gp to repot on super strength potions per hour non stop. so if your inventory space allows for it, every time your stats drop below maximum boost if your income is 5m+ gp/hour the next breakoff point is at 1.5 mil gp/hour, where you boost once every 2 minutes. 750k gp/hour breakoff point for boosting once every 3 minutes. not really worth mentioning anything else but once again, this depends on if your inventory will allow for it.
  6. Are the "attempt" speeds the same for every possible style of fishing? i would be inclined to think not.
  7. all floors, no exceptions. if you think the floor sucked for whatever reason, write it down in the comments section. edit: owait ur not a ranked keyer yet. But if this is for your application, yes we expect all floors.
  8. what are your pc specs? right click my computer -> properties to get them if you don't already know what they are.
  9. Go dungeoneer on max graphics settings honestly runescape is an MMO, an old one at that. It's unreasonable to expect them to update old content all the time. They're working their way around the f2p zones and frankly i think the stuff around draynor and falador are steps in the right direction. Graphics are not something I think runescap lacks.
  10. From what I know, supermarkets like Target bully game companies into raising the price of their products, such that the price @ the supermarket is competitive with the price from online sources like steam. Logic would argue that a copy of a game on steam, that lacks a case, an instruction manual, a cd, should be cheaper, but Pachter says it's because of pressure from supermarkets that it's the same price. I'm not saying this is necessarily the logic at hand. But retailers may have put pressure on jagex to either lower the price of membership cards down to $5-6 or raise the credit card price up to $7-9 so target could be competitive. If this is true, the vanity items could have been introduced as a way to relieve pressure from retailers trying to get them to raise the price of runescape membership purchased through all channels. Obviously I have no idea if this is the case or not, but it is possible.
  11. no, it points slightly farther north i believe. I think it might point at lamistard's tunnels.
  12. the full chaos elemental hint is: So definitely the fourth age. The whole strong remembers the weak falls is definitely a reference to robert the strong. Possibly a reference to the baxtorian waterfalls as well. the year is a coordinate 2212N1145E, that points roughly to the following location slightly north of that i think, *shrug*
  13. first age was of unknown length second age was ~2000 years long third age was ~4000 years long fourth age was ~ 2000 years long fifth age, is currently ~160 some years old right now? the kethsi hint ends with: The strong remembers, the weak falls. This is a reference to robert the strong, who was around during the fourth age i believe? when he killed dragonkin. Although i think the varrock museum might contradict and claim the 2nd age. either way, "a few" millenia can apply to any of the past ages.
  14. there is a staircase far west of the area. the whole place is kinda shaped like an agility course.
  15. Origins lie in ruined Keth*i, but now they return from the stone prison to lay waste. The strong remembers, the weak falls
  16. the ticks are the same regardless of level and equipment.
  17. Who is on the banlist, other than Low_C and Jediace? jedi ace isn't banned, he just stopped dungeoneering
  18. That person (Low C) happens to be banned from DGS right now. Based on what I was told, you were asked by the admins to not advertise in DGS for this person, but you kept advertising in spite of that request. You partially scratched out the names, but, it's pretty obvious that you took Low C with you that floor anyways. If you want to dispute Low C's banning, you can bring it up in a private chat with any of the leaders (preferably me, as the other leaders are tired of talking about it). Regardless, we need to enforce our rules, so please don't do this again. This is your first warning.
  19. yes you are able to talk. are you sure ur in the right channel? also am i right in saying if the room is this shaped, it will always be a dead end (with/without key)? would be good to get some confirmation lol. Indeed they are dead ends the righthand most shape isn't always a dead end i believe, unless there's another room shaped like that that isn't a DE.
  20. u were asking about a medal? sry but u need full bonus room for medal.
  21. This research is in fact on my to do list, so I am interested. If you can acquire data, I would be more than happy to tabulate it for you. Ideally you would collect data with either bronze or dragon tools. And you would want your woodcutting/mining/fishing/etc levels to be as low as possible. Ideally you could drain them to 1 somehow, but I am not sure how aside from disease (which is possible but tedious). anyways if you need more details, contact me in game, through pm, or through skype. PM me if you want my skype name.
  22. i don't think the stone of jas is inherently related to magic and runecrafting. Guthix and Saradomin used it to bolster their power. It is implied that zamorak used it to help him achieve godhood. based on that, i believe that if it's gonna give us a boost, it should boost everything. I don't like cliche plot devices either :P
  23. the former is using 2d sprites. Of course it's easy to copy concept art into a 2d sprite, that's a copy and paste. It is A LOT harder to translate 2d to 3d. the latter is a new and high end PC game that uses takes up 8.5 gb's of hard drive space. your image is also an atypical image taken to make the game look good. When you actually play the game, the character model actually looks a bit more like this:
  24. Look you've been lectured on this by several ranked DGS'ers now and you still haven't listened. I'm going to explain it one last time before I ask you to leave. Our data indicates that primal rapier with turmoil flicking is still going to be 25-27% less dps than a primal battleaxe on high tier forgottens. We don't really have much data on slashing/stabbing skeletons but most people who have tried have told us that it sucks pretty bad. your argument is, essentially, that the primal rapier is the best weapon against a lot of occult monsters. Sure, but at best it's better by a margin of like 6-10% over primal battleaxe. But pit it against a skeleton or a forgotten ranger/mage/warrior, and it's over 25% worse even with turmoil flicking. furthermore, a lot of the monsters that rapier stab is effective against, is redundant with hexhunters. Namely demons, brutes, dragons, etc. The thing is skeletons and zombies make up the meat of the monsters in dungeoneering. They have the most hit points, and are fairly common. I don't know the exact number for skeletons, but presumably you'd be losing about 25% ore mor DPS compared to a primal battleaxe even with turmoil flicking. That is NOT worth it for 6-10% dps increase on a handful of other monsters that are, like we've said, redundant with ranged/magic. Look you have no data. Maybe if you provided data showing us the exact accuracy of a primal rapier on a skeleton, we'd consider listening to you. But you're holding firm to your beliefs due to some subjective opinion you've built through your experiences. If you don't want to believe us then fine. But this conversation has been a waste of time for too many ranked DGSers. I don't care if you believe me or not anymore. But I'm going to ask you to drop this topic until you actually have something constructive to say.
