  1. Are you serious? I dont mind people having there own point of view, but blindly supporting jagex irregardless of there stance on the matter is stupid in the extreme.
  2. People are allowed to make mistakes. Its how big the mistakes are (I mean seriously) As well as how often you make them (again, wtf) And how you deal with them thats the problem in jagex's case.
  3. The thing with pking is, if you dont risk 75k your wasting EVERYONES time. And if you safe (especially in f2p pking), your also wasting EVERYONES time. The thing with safing is, you give your opponent almost no chance to kill you outside of extreme luck. And if you treat your enemy like that, they are going to safe as well, thus meaning neither of you are going to get any drops, and only waste food. Its a collossal waste of time and money for both parties. Thats the reason for these self imposed rules pkers have. If the PVP system worked differently, then fine, whatever. But because of the way the pvp system works, making kills impossible outside risking on low health, you have to impose rules in order to make it non tarded.
  4. Rofl. How many summon tanks exist for this to be worth it?
  5. I dont get it... So, they are going to add some heros to some quests?
  6. I dont see your overpowered arcane steam necklace + Staff of light + Zuriels staff + Wolpertinger + Overload + Chaotic staff + Spirit shield OP setup there!!!
  7. Really it shouldnt be that hard. Hurr durr I R JAGEX and dont understand exchange rate durr...
  8. Its alot harder to hybrid as a mage because ALL non mage armor seems to rape with mage attack. By comparison, a fighter can use pretty much any armor he feels like, a ranger can use some peices of melee armor and not feel to much of a pinch, but a mage on d'hide or whatever gets screwed over.
  9. Ugh... If i had to guess. Experiements (Loads go here to train), Rock crabs, Red chins, anywhere thats crowded in a normal world probably has people in a PVP world.
  10. Theres no harm in getting summoning. If you dont use the summon, it doesnt level you, so who cares.
  11. Personally, train all 3 skills, though yes, range and strength are your most important skills, Magic is borderline useless in F2p, aside from teles, teleblock and very low level pking. Have you ever PKED in your life?
  12. By 'not clarifying' you mean sorry for 'being wrong' Right? What, i use a slightly wrong term. Moneysinking out of a person is not so much different that money sinking out of the game  Especially in the context of the opening post, which is complaining about skills taking to much money to train.
  13. Why this deserves a 1/3rd of the login screen i will never know.
  14. As i said, sorry for not clarifying, no need to get pissy about it.
  15. No, some buyable skills arent moneysinks. Fletching for example, is a buyable skill, but you can actually profit off the thing. Though yes, it is useless. IMO, useless skills that cost loads are moneysinks in my book, because your money is sunk into it, and you aint getting nothing back. But again, sorry for not clarifying.
  16. Sorry for not clarifying, i dont mean moneysink as in takes money out of the game, but moneysink as in a skill which adds little to the actual user, while being extremely expensive for said user to train. Sure, in the grand scheme of things, smithing and crafting add gold into the game. But for a singular user, they cost a significant amount to train while giving the person little in terms of actual usage. With the only real reward being the skillcape + quest requirements.
  17. No screenshots?
  18. Exaggeration, but generally speaking. Smithing, herblore, crafting, construction, cooking, firemaking, prayer, summoning, are all moneysinks. Its good at a couple of these have some usage in them, but some things like crafting/smithing are pretty much useless outside getting quest requirements or a cape.
  19. Ever heard of exchange rates? Everyone SHOULD pay roughly the equavalent of 5-6 USD a month, but some countrys pay ridiculous amounts, up to 10-15 USD a month (Ridiculous in comparison). Worthless currency or not, when exchanges rates are involved, it all ends up being fair (or at least it should o.O) ---------------------- For example, membership is $6 USD for americans. For me, i SHOULD pay $7 AUD (Which is equavalent to $6 USD) Instead, i play $9.50 AUD, equavalent to $8.20 USD. Its only a few dollars, but it adds up. And why it happens i have no idea to be honest.
  20. We can argue technicalitys all we want, but half the skills in this game are moneysinks.
  21. Unless that noted update gets reverted, i dont see a rise immenent. Unless F2p PVP gets some improvements or something like that. Or a sudden surge in popularity. That or everyone else thinks "OMG FISH PROFIT", and everyone starts buying for max for some dodgy reason.
  22. They dont have anything that reduces the effectiveness of mage, but they can still hit through mage armor like butter (OMG MELEE IS OVERPOWRED CAUSE THERE SPEC LIKE WORKS AGAINST MAGES). Miasmic is the staffs special, it should work against all classes, not just one class. In the same way that dark bow works against all classes, not just one class. Remember that because of ranges mage defence, they are likely to resist the magic anyway (Infact if anything dark bow hits fighters just as hard because the spec rarely misses) Look the combat triangle is all well and truly, but it shouldnt be some rock paper sissors system where a ranger beats a mage just by existing. All classes have there strengths and weaknesses, and just because a special effect happens to effect more than one class doesnt mean its suddenly inbalanced.
  23. Must... Profit... Off... Phisermen...
  24. Oh sweet! Its fish stocking time!
  25. No it wasent. Thats like saying dark bow special shouldnt effect armor. That being said, miasmic is pretty OP, but that in general needs a nerf. But you know what? Miasmic is only really good in deathmatches, if its not a deathmatch or similar, people will just run or tele or whatever... Unlike other classes top tier weaponry, its not that great for KO's, and will do naught but make your opponent run and safe like hell.
