  1. Because they still payed for them? Sure, they arent paying anymore, but thats the reason the members items HAVE NO STATS in a f2p world. Plus, im sure if Jagex were more trustworthy, alot more people would buy members for one month in order to get some cool member stuff, cause hey, they still pay for it.

  3. Any gathering, combat skill, or runecrafting. Id say... Range?
  4. Bug, or tokens. Tokens give you lots of XP in short time.
  5. Seems like a good idea. Its not like anyone will unsubscribe because f2p got a dragon med.
  6. Actually its more like a baby coming out of the bathroom and saying he made a poopie. And you wouldn't say to him "i made 2 poopies!" You would congratulate him on his apparent success in the areas of toilet training.
  7. I'm betting it was intentional :( Oh well, maybe you should be able to equip members items in a f2p world. It wouldn't give any stats, but more people would be motivated to get members, and its not like they will lose any potential customers because "oh my god, he can wear a statless members item zomg"
  8. Price of raw food had everything to do with skillcapes. Before skillcapes, i used to make money by buying raw lobsters, cooking them, and reselling them. No one really cared about XP, so it was quite a reasonable way of making money. Now everyone wants XP For skillcapes, and of course cooking can't really make any decent money now. I think it has been said already, this is due to the Grand Exchange. Since i is so easy to buy in bulk quickly, they don't want people to level up insanely fast and making a great profit. I remember lobsters costing more raw than cooked before the grand exchange when skillcapes were out. Of course its partially due to the grand exchange. But no one would really care about XP if you didn't get respect for it, so of course it wouldn't be half as expensive as it is now to train skills like smithing, cooking, etc.
  9. Now that I think about it, good question  That's pretty cool! Where do you charge your DFS? Maybe so people think hes a pure when hes wearing an anti-dragon shield, then laugh when he hits ones twos, and KO ZOMG WTF!?!?!
  10. That would be good, magic would be downright useless for the first few days/weeks because everyone has 1 strength, but sooner or later, it will even out and magic will be a better skill. On the other hand, why not just make higher magic level make magic hit more?

  12. A right? A low level can speak down to a high level and a high level can speak down to a low level. Its when they speak down for a stupid reason "Lulz, you haz no livezzzz" then its stupid. But nonetheless high levels don't have any more right than lower levels.

Because even the easiest 99's are mindnumbingly hard... I wen't crazy just getting 85 fletching, thats not even 25%, and that may as well be the easiest 99... Jagex must makes you play longers :P

I think it was a reasonably fun quest. Plus, the ghost suit is so awesome. So was the spider, "I'm a mouse, im definately not a spider" XD So awesome :D The halloween quest was stupid though...
  16. I donno, free players get enough content that i still consider it semi-free. Though on the whole "best free MMO thing", WOW could decide to make a little free island you can play in with a single rat or other crappy creature that you can kill once every 10 minutes while competing with all the other free players, and then call that the most popular free mmo O.o
  17. When theres respect to be gained from a cape, or simply a number next to your name. Skills like smithing will never be profitable in this current state, unless it actually takes time and effort to craft a single sword (think minigame), and/or swords, arrows, bows, etc break more. So theres a constant need for more swords. In which that might work, but would need a whole skill overhual.
  18. Everyones opinion matters. Sure, they have limited game experience. So what, if a new player doesn't like something them theres obviously something wrong to that person. If you can't hold a good debate with them and can only point out lack of experience then something is very wrong. More experienced players views DO hold more weight, but thats not to say low levels should be ignored. Plus, if more experienced player proves himself to be an idiot, then il respect the lower level more :P
  19. Updates don't matter so much. Balancing does. Its not meant to be a demo, and it SHOULD be balanced. If that means giving a few more things to f2p so be it.
  20. Smithing makes armour to fight with and crafting makes the jewelery you wear. Firemaking was meant to be a gold sink. Once you burn the log, there's no way to profit or get it back. This way is stabilizes the economy. As in, useless from a single player perspective. Other than for the sake of leveling, theres no real point of having smithing at all, you don't make profit from it, it just costs you money, just like firemaking does. Plus, firemaking is needed for more useful quests :D
  21. Well, some people still do congratulate you, but i agree players are annoying :P But it may just be nostalgia on your part, but i remember pretty far back that when you yelled out a level someone else would "i have 70" or "my main has 99" Now they just have an easier way to do it :P
  22. Some people have fun when they look cool. I for one, find oblivion funner than morrowind, they are by and large the same, but one looks better. Theres nothing wrong with looking better :D
  23. I'm always happy with graphical updates :D
  24. What? Surge spells?! I never knew of this?!! Anyway, f2p magic needs a buff, but oh well.
