Forgive me if i have no idea what your on about. Basically, i see no disadvantage for the trade limit to be based off total XP. Prehaps less for skills like cooking, etc, but it seems better than QP. I've said it once, and I'll say it again - SKILLS ARE NOT anti-bot. Quests are. Enough said. BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER. IF YOU BOT, THEN YOUR NOT GOING TO RWT WHEN YOU CAN JUST BOT YOUR MONEY.
  2. BUT JAGEX HAS SAID ITS NOT AGAINST THE RULES!!!

The game was fine before pmods...
  5. Nothing wrong with tradable charms. They would likely be very expensive because they are worth alot, and although people would say its a "buyable skill" money is hardly easy to get. One could say barraging rock lobsters is equivalent to buying a skill, maybe thats just me.

You realize that both people need to have the trade limit for a trade to go through. If someone is already botting, he wouldn't bother rwting for money. And if he wasent a bot it would take a long time for him to get a high total level/xp.
  7. That looks confusing. Might go play GOP to try it out. I'm pretty sure its a bug or something. I don't see the point of the 2 halves of the altar being insanely different.
  8. 26/75king is not against the rules, they are trying to fix it though. In the same way, price manipulation is not against the rules, but they are also trying to fix it.

I still think quests are so not the way to judge someones experience in the game.

If its funner for you, then its not dumb. Also, its not actually a USB key, its like those little objects where you press the button and a number comes up. No plugging involved.

With trade limits, nothing can happen now. I mean the most you can be scammed for is 60k, and if you have done almost every quest in the game and for some reason manage to get fooled by a fake Pmod, then theres something wrong. As far as my experience tells a Pmod is a negative to almost any conversation. If your talking at willows and a mod comes around, he is the centre of attention, he gets called a complete noob, and no lifer by half of them, while getting worshiped by the other half, while some others go about there day as if nothing happened. They can do what they could before without the crown, all it causes is noob-worship.

You can be only in it for the status and still be a good Pmod. Anyone can report and not swear.
  13. Sir_Kurity replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
Yes, but one does not need to be a bad moderator to enjoy the status of being a player moderator. Bad mods may go and good mods may stay, but again that does not say that the good mods don't enjoy the status. I would be set to believe that a great deal of the runescape population would make good Pmods, because if they were ever modded they would obviously act all good and all to keep their position as a pmod. Anyone can call BS on scammers, anyone can use an ignore list. Thats what mods are supposed to do, they report bad things, and mute bad players (not really needed, but its their to stop scammers i guess) They do not need there crowns. Also, about claiming that they are a non-crowned mod there are no real negative effects. If the person isnt a mod and claims he is, no one would believe it anyway. And if they were a mod, then they are clearly in it for the status.

Its about reporting. They can say "be nice to each other" but how is jagex going to find that out. Are they going to get Jmods to watch you play the game to see how "nice" you are. Are they going to have a little niceness meter that measures just how nice you are. They may monitor you for a short time once you have put enough reports in, or some other criteria is met like a random number generator, but i highly doubt the main selection process is about being nice.
  15. Similar in speed, but alot harder. Because you need to click more as opposed to watch TV while fishing away.
  16. Sir_Kurity replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
A jagex post saying they are happy about moderators means crap all, how does that mean they don't enjoy the status of having a crown, and how does scrutinizing the activity of Pmods mean they don't enjoy the status of there crown. If the crown is there, its about status, maybe not for the mods, but at least in jagex's point of view. As pmods can do everything they can normally do without the crown, with the exception of a little bit of fame for having the crown. Also, none of the evidence from the town crier/guide say anything about status, all it says is that you need to play by the rules, report, be nice and have a secure account. None of our claims can be proved unless we get every mod here to see if they are in it for the status or not, but even then they may like the status, but say they are in it for the game, in the interests of protecting there position.
  17. Sir_Kurity replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
Ok lets change it. Almost all Pmods are in it for the status, those that say they aren't would most likely be annoyed if the crown were removed, there are a select few who genuinely like to help jagex, yadayadayada, but they are almost definitely a minority.
  18. Yep, the great gap in just about every gathering skill.
  19. Sir_Kurity replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
How can you honestly think that "helping people" got you your crown. Yes, because jagex is going to spend time watching you play and seeing if you "help someone"
  20. Sir_Kurity replied to a post in a topic in General Discussion
Then they clearly subconsciously want the argument to continue because they think it might be amusing. We arent 2 year olds, we don't need mods running around policing everyone who has an argument. Also, how the hell am i going to get evidence that everyone is in it for the status, and how are you going to get evidence (aside from jagex's BS) that the crown is for a decent purpose. Jagex's evidence is not reliable because from their point of view, they CAN'T say its about status, and thus they will naturally say its about purpose, and not status.

It would probably end up as Me_Hate_Libs + Other people VS Quelmotz and more other people, into some epic thread of ownage.
  22. I think they were all good, sept for the one where he kicks the jagex guy...
  23. Proud to wear a cape. Nobody knows but him that he clicked 20 times more than most other fletchers with 99.
  24. If 1000 people buy out say, dark bows, all at max, and 700 of those people are regularly in the same clan chat with each other, then its safe to say they are price manipulating. On the other hand, when 50 people buy out say, dark bows, all at max, but they use an external private forum and are not connected to each other in anyway, then its alot harder to prove. Sure, jagex could go out on a limb and ban them, but they could claim they were told by a friend they might go up or simply merchanting it because they saw a [bleep]e in the price, etc. In that case is very hard to prove that they are price manipulators.
  25. I know change is inevitable, im just saying its unfair for the people who did it the hard way. If you still play RS a few years from now, and have a couple of 99's say in firemaking or something, and suddenly burn X comes along, i will be laughing.
