Finished my blue dragon task; my God that was dire D: I NEVER want to do that again, so ima perma block them. Anyways I did a few more tasks and now have 235 Daggonoths to kill. Just wondering if I should try soloing DK's once or twice for some nice kills, as Agodlessone suggested it, and it sounds easy enough methinks. So people any stats, levels, items, things, etc I need/want to do it? And I highly doubt I'll solo them 235 times, so if there's no feasible way it'll be cannoning and hopefully get to about 30K from 74 range.

I was extremely vexed when I landed myself a 149 blue dragon task from Kuradal...... Just wondering what invo and armour setup I should use. Haven't done a blue dragon task in yonks, actually I don't think I've ever done one. All I've ever done is range some for fun in the Ogre place. Anyhoos, ideal setup and invo and any other advice please?

Seeing as you're going for slayer go for all 80's first and see where that leaves you. If you could post your slayer stat/exp it would help. But put it this way: 85 slayer needs: 3,258,594exp. So basically take your exp out of it; leaving you with however much is left for 85. Then times that by 4 and you'll find how much exp you can get. I'd be willing to bet that you could get 85 with all 85's and maybe a little left over. I don't know however as I can't find your stats. But still go with straight 80's then decide if you want straight 85's and then you may have some left over exp to get for attack levels./ Good luck.

Well I know the desert ones are higher level than the Jungle; so from experience with Desert ones I'd say a whip and rune defender will do you fine. They're extremely weak and are down in a matter of seconds, with the occasional hit. The only thing you need to worry about is the special attack; but that's easy to dodge even when you're semi-afk.

Ah a case of ye olde DFS vs Defender/other shields....... First off a DFS is alot like a SGS in the sense that once you buy one and you use it you never want to let it go out of your possession again and when you do sell it you buy it back as soon as you can...... I know that is certainly the case with me and some other people I know who have them. They are amazing defensive shields. It also depends what you want your setups to do. I, for one, wanted extremely high defence bonuses (don't ask why, I have no idea, I just felt compelled), so the DFS slotted in extremely nicely with Torags etc. Others want it for a max str setup if they have Bandos. With my recent vissy drop I considered Bandos, but at the end of the day I'm paying 20m+ more for worse defensive stats that I can get on Torags, and only a little increase in str bonus that is neglegable. However, I've recently come back with slayer even with my lappys extreme lag speed (for some reason), and have found that the defender pretty much is as awesome as people say. It has amazing bonuses etc and when I go back to DFS for dragon tasks/tasks I want extra defence on then yes I can certainly tell a difference. BSS; now this shield is a mystery to me, I've had one before when they were 2m and found it pretty awesome for ranging, but I soon got bored of it. That's all I'd say it's good for. Range. It takes away no bonuses making it a useful shield for that. But I hardly see any uses other than being a ranging shield. If I were you, I'd use the defender and spend the money on herb or prayer. Don't fall into the trap of buying a DFS and falling in love with it unless you really want the shield. I adore the shield and it'll probably be the day I either quit or get 99 smithing that I sell that shield.

Just wondering what the use of D Claws in slayer is. I'm increasingly seeing more and more people in Kural dungeon use them? Are they generally worth it?

This. Potted up I can reach 100 att, and 97 str...... I don't generally even notice when I'm back to 83 and 80..... I've used both whips and ZS and I can surely say that whip you'll hit higher more often; but there is no real difference.

You raise some extremely good points Zotto, thanks for that..... I'm currently deciding between spending the money on high herblore or 99 smithing because I needed this money for 99. I dunno, may have to wait for this Sacred Heart or whatever it is to come out first though.

Would it be possible? And really? :( Is it actually worth it that much? Visage + dfs -> 68m. Say you buy a bss to replace the dfs, would give you 60m to play with. Super attack potions are 25 gp/xp atm, so you would be able to get 82-83 herb with the 60m. A few mill more would get you 85. That would leave you with super antifires which are pretty useful, and the bss is about as good as your dfs. Also, if you ever make some more money, you can get 88/90 herb for extreme potions which are AWESOME. So yeah I agree with selling both and using the money on herblore. Providing you already have most useful equipment like barrows stuff etc, if you don't buy that first then make a bit more money so you have ~70m to waste on herblore. Hmmm ok, i'll look at that, it seems like a good plan I guess...... also please forgive my ignorance but what is a BSS again? And hmmm, I think I have the majority of useful stuff.

Yea I got it 16 dragons into a 67 iron task in kura dungeon, and hmm :/ everyone does seem to say get 80 or so Herb with it...... but surely from 45 that's an impossible thing?

50m for a couple of prayer levels doesn't particularly attract me, and herblore has absolutely no use to me until I'm level 80 something, or something silly like that...... I've been trying to work out how bandos is useful in slayer, but I'm still at a loss.... All it does is look good...... :S

Ok..... so.... I'm still currently shaking..... just put the pictures into paint to see the drop screen again, checked my adventurer log to see that it was actually mine and that I'm not dreaming..... Still got it in bank every time I log in..... So..... Now what do I do with my Visage that a got on my iron task? It'll give me 34m or a free DFS should I choose, but the free DFS is pointless as I already have one..... So selling it? But then that'll give me 34m, ontop of my 17m cashpile atm...... Now what should I do? Speaking to people like draz and MHL it seems that consensus is buy Bandos for slayer..... but I dunno..... What do you people think I should do with 50M+? 99 smithing? Bandos? whatever, suggestions please, because my brain is too addled to think atm. <3

Sorry for making yet another topic today; but I'm just wondering what level summoning I can get to with: 5015 Gold 3349 Green 1914 Crim 291 Blue They've been sitting in my bank a while looking at me funny and I want them gone so I can build up another pile for 88....... But I only have 17m and wouldn't want to spend more than 7M on summoning...... Does anyone know what I can make to use up alot of these to get me some good summoning levels which'll be good for the long haul to get me to 88? Also any idea how much it might cost with trade ins so that I can minimise cost and therefore keep my hope high that this wont drain much money? Cheers

WAY better to take a combat familiar and a few pieces of food. Ya it might be, but idk many combat familiars that are good at 68 summoning. I am willing to get my summoning up. 1) TV is generally one way communication I think. 2) Telegram is 2 way communication, and yes it's slow as they write everything out eg "Hello Sir Hemen STOP How are you today QUESTIONMARK" 3) Radio could be considered 2 way communication as people can ring in and request things like songs or enter competitions. 4) Definitely 2 way communication..... however if you're talking about mobiles then it can be more than 2 way I think. just wondering what the best way to raise my thieving to 65 could be; as i need the ardy diary 3 done for the cape as i have no chance for sw cape. would 1 clicking squirks be worth it?

Yea I'm looking more towards the melee method as ranged isn't my forte.... don't have the patience for it unless I cannon.... What'd be a good setup to piety them?

Not really a big fan of ranging; but.... I'm willing to give it a shot as long as I don't need something silly like void or a tonne of chins......

I've done nech tasks before and I know they're kinda slow and a bit boring, but they're good exp etc. Just wondering if I can powerslay them with piety and profit from them...... Also what set up to use, because they can hit hard sometimes I think. Any info/ideas on this would be great..... Especially a setup and invo. Cheers.

Hmm alright, I've been doing "dummy runs" of these whilst taking breaks from doing an essay; they seem easy enough, however Joe, your method with the yip covering desert damage doesn't seem to work for me. I'm not yet going to start pietying them so therefore I'm wearing Torags and whenever I'm dying of thirst I get hit 8-12's for some reason, so I guess it's better that I have 4 waterskins in my invo...... I have 70 left..... Lets hope I get a focus sight.

Just wondering what's the best set up to deal with a task of about 160 of these blighters and whether or not during this task I might get a hexcrest (on average it seems people get 2 a task). Cheers.
