Yanille might be a good bet...... Buuuuuuuuut you should try and get the levels for the Easy Ardy diary..... doing that you can use the cape tele to the monastery, whack around the iron ores there, then use a ring of duelling to get to castle wars.... rinse and repeat. And as the above poster said - arrows are good enough..... make sure to use the best bow you can though, and a range potion might come in handy every so often at speeding things up.

Redeye got it pretty spot on really...... They're not too bad and have extremely low defence. Set up: Slayer helm, Fury, Torag plate and legs (or whatever armour you generally wear) D boots, Barrows gloves, Fire cape (or best cape you have) Zerker ring or if it's a Kuradal task then ferocious one. Then comes the fun debated part...... Some people say they're really weak to crush so this bit is up to you: SS/GS or Whip + Defender. Invo like redeye described: Rockhammer Couple of yips summoning pot/sup restore super sets are really nice here for getting kills very very quickly, about 6 or 7 monkfish maybe. GL

They're a pretty easy task tbf, only cancel if you really start to hate them...... According to most people they hate stab so a ZS works well here...... my normal set up would be: Slayer Helm Fury Karils top and bottom D boots Barrows Gloves Fire cape ZS and stab away. Invo full of monks, have a yip and about 50 scrolls, and you'll be alright for a good amount of them..... when I was 96 def with 75 attack and strength I could get through about 70 a trip there. Substitute the Karils for Black Dhide and you'll be fine...... Pray near the end of the task to try and maximise kills...... They don't hit as bad as Abby Specs...... but when they do manage to land a hit they'll hit between 10-15 generally. GL

You really don't like that quest do you? :P The again as Omnitec suggests maybe there might be a PT2 to it afterall, with more story just to make you happy? ^^ All the pieces could be there....... then again talking about pieces maybe jagex is making quests about the Majharrat and using us as pawns to move them..... We've already helped Hazeel, Azzandraia, Camel face, and the Muspa geezer (haven't bothered learning the names because I'm too lazy, but I LOVE the storylines). So maybe they can be the pieces? We have helped quite a few zarosian Majharrat...... and we know so little about Zaros too; so therefore his God "colour" could be white? It would then make a little sense of the "black and white pieces"....... If he was white, it'd balance guthix out, because guthix is nature, but has the colour of Green, Zaros is some kind of order juxtapose to guthix but therefore white - draining all the colour out - therefore balancing Guthix and co. 4 Parts maybe there are 4 quests to release Zaros from his imprisonment..... and if he disappeared into nothingness becoming "the empty lord" then..... could it be possible..... that RS has some kind of void? A plane between planes? It's a totally logical assumption really...... And hasn't it been mentioned before something like that in the summaries of temple at Senntistin? Ima just rambling now, really.........

Haha I look forward to it..... it's still a semi-logical theory :P It's quite simple really, they released the letter after the quest came out, and in the front page introduction, they say this: Note the word "future", and the plurality of the word releases. Touche then, however if you look at what I have said about it, it does fit in with the quest ;) so maybe ima wrong about it (which is becoming more and more probable) or Jagex messed up about it? IDK, but still everything I have said does fit in with NR.

Ummmmm, I know everyone is having these..... "delusions of grandeur" at the moment about this but...... Think about this logically? "A man: From beneath you, it devours" - ummm..... anyone who has read about NR knows that he created the soul obelisk to DEVOUR the souls of those poor SW critters. "Defeating it shall reward many kinds of adventurers" - could be a reference to the zeal you get for doing the quest? "But the game is void; there are no Grandmaster here" - could refer to the fact that the Grandmaster Quest was at SW instead of void? "A temple may sit between the pieces" - Another reference here to NR? He technically did build a temple under SW to create his own power. Or now..... It could refer to the Temple at Senntisten? I don't know..... it's only what I gathered from the letter..... though I could be spectacularly wrong (which I actually hope I am)...... but the logical options with the whole "A man.... it devours..... defeating it rewards many kinds of adventurers......etc"

Ok then mr "def is useless past 85" why not gimme a pm on here when you're on RS and see how useless my 99 def is against whatever stats you have? I don't find anything useless about being able to tank things and take hardly any hits, however if you wish to show me how useless def is then go right ahead. [/rant] If you hadn't gathered by now from above in my opinion it would be defence. Defence allows you to get hit less and therefore you waste less money on supplies and stuff like that. Seeing as you're getting 99 str it'll probably be more advantageous to get def for things like armoured zombies and stuff..... at about 70 def i was having to use about 8 monkfish a run along with a yip..... at 92 def i could survive as long as i wanted to really..... half the time i didn't really need the yip out. At the end of the day it's only personal choice, it's up to you. I chose def for the challenge of the cape and the fact that in a sense it makes getting attack and strength easier to get...... just think about all the time spent eating on RS ;) I dare say everyone has missed alot of exp or killing a monster quicker if they have to eat. Also please ignore my bias *hides def cape* ;p but tbf, it is one of the best combat stats to get to 99, and the cape looks awesome <3

I agree with the above poster. Slayer will be better for you seeing as you train 2 other skills too (HP and slayer)....... AZ's are very good money and are very good exp, I myself was lured to them and found them to be amazing.... However looking back I really really regret it because instead of being 99 def with 85+ slayer I'll have to get 85 in both attack and strength to get me anywhere near...... Don't make the same mistake I did ;) slayer all the way. Good luck, it's an amazing cape.

Thanks for the replies everyone, from the general consensus it seems that if I do this fishing it'll take this term roughly...... maybe a little longer, to get me to 99 which is great. However one or 2 of you said about rocktails etc...... looking at the exp stuff in the guide; would it be wise to move onto Cavefish when I'm 85?

In my opinion you'll want to get some of the annoying quests out of the way like MEP2, and Dream Mentor..... If you get rid of the essential quests for WGS then you'll rid yourself of dreading quests later on, just attack the brunt of it now. The you should move onto any quest you want to really. For myself I'm trying to get skills for WGS at some stage, but I did a couple of the massive quests like RFD, DT, DM and so on, then I decided to break from them and I did the Goblin storyline and the Dwarf one giving me quite alot of qps. So I hope that helped in some way shape or form ^^ Just do what quests you want to do really to get 270 qps, which should be easy enough with 163 quests and 298 qps available. GL!

As you all probably know I'm looking to trim my def cape at sometime soon; however being at uni kinda limits my rs will power a bit and therefore I end up fishing alot; whilst playing halo or something awesome :D So my question is thus - how long will it take to get my fishing to a very high level - say around 92ish........ MAYBE..... 99 depending how I feel? Anyone got any ideas? And yes I am fishing monkfish. Cheers, Ez

From my understanding and reading the past few pages of the thread to come up to date Zaros doesn't seem to fit into that category of "chaos" everything said here and by various NPC's makes it seem like Zaros was actually a God of order, and a God that Guthix actually approved of. Maybe Zaros could be one of the original Gods? I mean through speculation and lack of proof I myself believe that Sara and Zammy both came into power through the same type of thing - stealing another God's power. Now some semi-interesting questions for you all - It seems that everyone is saying Zaros power is being felt now back on Runescape and that he is coming back to the plane with more power than before; But what about Guthix policy? If you're a God then GTHO my world. Surely that should apply to Zaros? Or is it that everyone thinks that because Zaros' reign built, peace, harmony, and paradise that Guthix might unlock the gate for him? Oh and another thing when will Guthix stop snoozing? Surely with Zaros retuning Guthix' alarm clock should be going off right about now? And also with the return of Zaros will there be God Wars: Episode 3; Revenge of the Zaros?

There doesn't seem to be; other people may tell you there is. However if you're finding it bad with the revs etc, then head to world 2 and you'll have quite a few people to help with the revs.

As you all know I got my defence cape not long ago; however but I'm already beginning to look to trim it. My favourite skills and capes for ages have been Smithing, Slayer, Prayer, HP and Defence. So therefore my conclusions came thus - 1. Prayer would cost me 200M that I don't have to get me from 70 to 99, and I mean..... C'mon, it'll take me about 2m worth of bones to get to 72. So that's a probable no until I sell everything in members if I choose to quit. 2. Defence. I already have now, so it's just a case of raising combat stats. 3. Slayer. Would max my melees which is a long term goal that I'd be willing to try and attempt sometime. 4. HP. Already 90 through sheer bulk of exp from defence, also slayer maxing me out would get this fairly easy; however time at uni is the problem. 5. Smithing - my favourite cape in the entire game, even more so than Prayer. I've been getting the odd levels by cannonballing which is the best for me being in uni as I can easily afk an essay, msn, girlfriend on webcam, tv and an invo of cballs; thus making me quick money on RS and not being boring. So now you understand my thought process for getting 99 smithing can you help me figure out what to do to get the 99, and how much it might cost? I don't really care about cannonballing levels until about 70 really because then it isn't too absurd, and I make a nice little bit of money to add to my cash pile for it. However is there any way that I can quicken the process? And what would be the best thing to make at the moment (without taking cannonballing or time into consideration); also know that I have an 18m cash pile that is growing quite nicely atm, and a DFS that I'd be willing to sell for this cape. Thanks for any advice, hints, tips, anything about this, it really is much appreciated. Ez
