  1. I envy you in some ways, I wish I could do those quests again I'd pay to kill Nomad again.... Careful what you say, Jagex might come up with another way to make money. Wasn't there that poll about what quest bosses we wanted to fight most again?
  2. Blurb says we get allies (again) Rocking out I'd say pirate captains help us. Fairy tale 3 I'd say fairy queen sends help etc. Opps, i skipped over that part :L I suppose that's the more logical idea! Though Rocking out was the quest that revealed a good lot about Rabid Jack, was it not? Though I suppose it is the quest were we make most of the pirate allies too, including that weird guy who gave us the Ex-Parrot :P Its when we got the pirates captains confidence and its an Ex-Ex-Parrot fool! What exactly would we gain from an alliance with the pirates though eh? I guess in part IF there was something with the pirates and... *looks around* Rabid Jack was involved, then alright, it would perhaps tie up the loose end that Bill Teach might someday be turned into Blackbeard in game (the real Blackbeard was really called William Teach) and we need to get rid of Rabid Jack for that... However, the only things against Majarrat we'd gain would be rum and cannons... So are we gona take crates of rum to the ritual area, have a wild party and get them all drunk, and then let the pirates fire on them? I know this is Jagex, but even I wouldn't think they'd do that. What Octarine spotted though was there were a few pictures of Mos le'Harmless on the Dev Blog for RotM, and also there are loads of strange rocks about the place (you use your ex-parrot on one to bring it back to life or something I've heard) that have magical ressurectional abilities... So I'd say it's more in line with that. And I agree with the above poster... I find that kinda odd that they don't have NR there too... Just like it's Rocking Out instead of A Clockwork Syringe (thus further disproving the theory of Rabid Jack and the Pirate Captains)...
  3. TBH this... Kuradal has the passion of avenging her father coursing through her veins along with a fury that hell hath no... So... I'd rather not lose Kuradal as well :( I still want a storyline quest involving the hierarchy of the slayer guild and the 'toes' Duradal supposedly stepped on to make enemies in the guild, like they hinted to in WGS/talking with Kuradal. Getting the Slayer Guild itself would be nice... And following up minigame improvements with skill guild improvements would've been even nicer... :( They could well release that, but with that slayer dungeon thing they said in that 15% offer post? :o
  4. TBH this... Kuradal has the passion of avenging her father coursing through her veins along with a fury that hell hath no... So...
  5. Only found one so far, will see if there are more as I continue the quest: Step 13: Lock the door then head back to the ship. Think it meant to say "Unlock" the door. Step 15: Entry five will be filled with a letter from Rabid John. Just checked and it's from Rabid Jack.
  6. Nope. "Can I use my clay items, Penance horn, brawling gloves, etc, to add to my bonus XP? These items will not work during the weekend as the effects of the Bonus XP Weekend will override any other items or areas that enhance XP rates. The item will not degrade when used during the bonus XP weekend. This includes, but is not limited to, the clan ring, lumberjack clothes, clay items, Penance horns, brawling gloves, flame gloves/ring of fire, Fishing/Runecrafting/dragon slayer gloves and POH altars." BXPW Dev Blog
  7. This... Gona be using my netbook to watch The Inbetweeners, Outnumbered, John Bishop's Britain, Torchwood, Doctor Who and anything else on iPlayer, 4OD, ITVPlayer that might be worth watching. Though instead of all 10 hours agilitying, I'll agility until it hits ~1.5/1.4 then probably do some construction to 1.2 then mine.
  8. Third line down under required quests says: The Path of Glouphire (I and R wrong way around). Step 5: Full stop is inside the brackets instead of outside, ending the sentence. Step 9: Same as above. Sorry for how minor they are :P I just spotted them and thought you guys might wana know.
  9. Good idea! ;) So are bow ties, I demand a bow tie! I'd settle for a contentless month if we got bow ties... Aye Kim, Stetsons are cool too! And haha I agree Gingy!
  10. Wow -- need some kleenex after that nerdgasm?  Yeah yeah -- I will probably get banned for this one -- but it was funny and so I went there ... <_< Haha! :P No, not after that one, that wasn't really a nerdgasm, more a massive splurge of thoughts that Will H, myself and a few other friends came up with xD I might have slightly gotten hyper over this though: BOWTIES ARE COOL!
  11. TBH Will H and I came up with a crackpot theory a while ago about Daemonheim, the Rift, and the true connotations of it. When Saga's were released we had that guy with the library in his head, who said "Spoilers" whenever we asked about the rift - So we thought that he could be River Song - I mean, she died in the Library in Doctor Who, and he favourite line always seems to be "Spoilers" ;) Then we started thinking that the TARDIS could be on the Rift - recharging (those who watch it just remember how many times he's landed in Cardiff to "refule" the TARDIS), and whenever you enter a dungeon you enter into a room of the TARDIS (bigger on the inside ;) ) and we end up saving it because... The Silence/Master have turned it into a Paradox Machine again (Paradox Machine) and the Rift is thus making this machine powerful that it affects the whole of RS.... So yeahs, and what's more is the companions are now in game! So.... INB4RotMisyouactuallyhelpingtheDoctorsaveallknownuniversesandrealities? Crackpot theory I know, but it would be so friggin awesome if the TARDIS burst out of Dae, and we helped Amelia, Rory and the Doctor to save RS...
  12. C'mon guys, keep it civil please. Anyways, Octarine told me about this, and I'm not sure if it has been posted but I would it was pretty cool: For those of you whom the reference might escape - it's a Doctor Who reference to the companions the Doctor currently has - Amelia and Rory. :D
  13. Well excited for RotM :D Looking forward to it for so long! Also currently 19k to 76 Agil with my BXPW main goal being 77, and my secondary goal being near 80 so looking good for me :D Might as well get Rocking Out sorted tomorrow then too... Prayer pot - bit very very meh... Ooh new herb, inb4itgoesthewayofwergali. BXPW - 77 agil omnomnom Classic Reopening - Another cape for the collection... RotM - @@@@@@@@@@ (Also any surprised at the quest req of Slug Menace, not Salt in the Wound? Also WGS as a req... This is gona be HUGE) Loyalty Rewards - Eh... I've been saving them up like Octarine because there's nothing I want to buy, so we'll see... Next batch in Feb (I think according to Dev Blog IIRC) anyways if this one is a disappointment.
  14. Fantastic quest, absolutely amazing, it's actually made me consider going for a quest cape... My only gripe was with Vanstrom... For some reason, no matter what I did, how quick I was, he'd ALWAYS hit me with darkness (bare in mind I recieved my laptop back yesterday from being fixed and it's apparently as good as good can be now), and I got hit with a 4X combo of it = death... So yeahs... Also he made Nomad look like a walk in the park... But anyways, killed him on the 3rd try (used range, melee, range for the tries) and it got me 70 hunter and 71 rc :)
  15. [hide]Any idea if those tomes can be used on any skill? If so then omnomnom 71 or so Hunter here I come...[/hide]
  16. Hehe congrats Leik! :D Well done!@
  17. Consider your point though. Basing my calcs off membership and what Jagex have previously stated to give on their vacations page: 1 person = ~£21,000 Salary a year. 1 bot = ~£3.50 a month. 6000 bots paying £3.50 for 1 month = 1 persons salary. 6000 bots paying £3.50 for 12 months = £252,000 Now consider that at any one point in time people have stated that from before and after update figured there are an estimated 20,000 bots online at any one time. Each of them pay £3.50 a month. Each of them, probably for 12 months. That is a total of £840,000 a year. They can employ 40 people a year. Now please don't tell me that they have 40 people + in that one department all attempting to bust bots, because surely between the 40 (apparently) highly intellectual noggins they have there combined they *should* be able to create a system to beat bots? Am I right in thinking that? But my calcs are assuming legitimately paying bots, and not factoring in other costs.
  18. Sounds totally realistic. Should be any day now. "The biggest myth is that we make money from bots. This isn't true." <-- Page 128 "I suppose the ultimate aim is for the membership of the bots to pay for the team taking them out and keep them to such a low level that it doesnt inhibit legitimate players." <--- Page 192 Angry beyond words... What an absolute waste of space of a JMod. It is a complete contradiction in terms. I don't know why, but that quote made me laugh. Haha :P Anyways posted this on the botting in RuneScape thread and will also post it here because of prior discussion... Anyways: Hmmmm... Food for thought?
  19. Someone with more skill than me will surely manage to post the entire golden post by Mod Mat K on Page 103 of QFC: 14-15-305-63126133 However, here's the part of the post that pertained to me... Jagex don't even have belief that their system to catch bots will ever work - or so is my impression from what he said... "Ezkaton - Mod Mat K, I am so so very disappointed in you with regards to the issue of bots. The fact that you openly contradict yourself on the issue is something to be absolutely astounded by.... Firstly: "The biggest myth is that we make money from bots. This isn't true." <-- Page 128 Then later in that thread you claimed: "We are more than confident in delivering a free trade game with practically no bots" <--- Page 192 "I suppose the ultimate aim is for the membership of the bots to pay for the team taking them out and keep them to such a low level that it doesn't inhibit legitimate players." <--- Page 192 These contradicting statements have made me angry beyond what words can express. All three statements I made were correct, let me see if i can explain more. Firstly, right now we lose money on bots, plain and simple. As for the second statement, I am in no doubt that the game will never be purely bot free, so there will always be bots around. The ideal solution I can see is that there are so few bots in game that we do not need to spend the resource we currently do on combating bots and if we can reach a point where membership from bots actually covers that cost then all the legitimate players' membership can go to making the game better. Of course, this is under the proviso that the amount of bots is small enough not to impact on legitimate players. I don't know if we'll ever reach that stage, but time will tell." This saddens me.
  20. This... And also: "long-awaited culmination" "culmination" Surely with such a MASSIVE storyline, it's going to be impossible to tie everything together.... Good God... This sounds like Salt in the Wound all over again... *Prepares self for anti-climax of epic proportions and the ensuing rage that is to happen* On a happier note - yays for BXPW... Should have my laptop back and good as new by then, so :D Will be training Agility until 1.9X boost or something, then construction... Oh and of course, will be doing a 5 Magic, Calquat and 6 Palm Tree tree run before the agil so should be good... But hooray for blue dhides going to sky rocket preventing me from spending my money on 92+ crafting ;-;
  21. Sounds totally realistic. Should be any day now. "The biggest myth is that we make money from bots. 22. Decent update but I find it a bit pointless with the PP amour :S It'd be like saying "Oh we're giving you this construction armour but it wont boost if you do Oak Larders, Oak Dungeon doors or Mahogany Tables" or "Oh there's lumberjack but it wont boost when doing Ivy or Teaks" PP and Blackjacking are 2 essential ways to train thieving and not giving it the same bonus just makes the armour a cosmetic item that no one will ever really use properly...
  23. Spam as much as you like :P I don't mind, and haha yeah you do, but you have a goldfish like a mind... I mean a mind like a goldfish ;) Hehe yeahs xD Steph made me chuckle with that haha! And thanks! :D IHU <3: Anyways... Past few days all I've really done is Temple Trekking... And I got full Lumberjack today!@@@ Now to leave that minigame until I decide to go insane for a Comp cape... Anyways: New skilling outfit: 89 Fish happened when trekking (Deadliest Catch left me at 7k to 89 anyways and Trekking tomes did the rest). Then I got 71 cons today because I was ~2k from it... Then 90 craft happened:
  24. This is turning into a flamefest and the topic has been, and is currently, being discussed in various other forums in General Discussion. As such, I am locking this thread. PM me if you have any questions. ~Ezk. Trainee Mod.
  25. IKR? It's amazing how lifelike Jagex make these big achievements!
