Well looking at your stats you have 92 herb, so it really wouldn't hurt to give stewing for Ovls a try? :)

I'd definitely vouch for potting for fire surge (I'm currently 92 mage 243k to 93). Extreme Magics/Wolper aren't really worth it in my book until 93 mage when you get a good 5 mins or so of boost. Venca Skull, I'm not too sure on, never used it. I personally set up with 4 overloads. Often that's too many (but I like to overkill my tasks ;) ) yet it's a good way to be constantly 95+ mage, get a good % boost to damage etc.

No, not decent money, but the exp, in my opinion, is well worth it. If you can - use a cannon to speed it up, they're really massively long tasks.

I *think* the main process for hunter now is Red Sallies until 74/75 Hunter then Jadinko's at Herblore Habitat.

That was Mod Trick, and the last time I spoke to him it transpired that he was leaving Jagex very soon to go and do some travelling. TBH I also like how loads of people have also said Mod Chirsso. He is one of the nicest, conscientious, down to earth JMod's out there and his chat is brilliant fun. And I think it was Mod Dowd who got the same promotion as Chrisso and ended up in the main bot hunting department - ICU or whatever it's called.

I have posted here every so often and you guys have been absolutely fantastic and answering questions and giving advice. So yeahs this is a kinda mini-progress report with an added few questions for whan I am back at uni. First of all, crazy ex is right out of the picture now, I'm fully over her so that is all good. Crazy pshyco girl that I really liked is gone out of my life too... I decided to do the decent thing in the end and told her boyfriend exactly what she had done. So that's a weight off my mind. However, there was a third girl, that I never really actually mentioned to anybody on here. There was this woman who I really really liked during the period of my relationship, needless to say in the end things with this woman went down the swanny, and I had busied myself with alcohol and working myself to the bone at uni to try and keep her off my mind. Now that I am home, with no girlfriend, this forum, and my 12,000 word dissertation my thoughts have been lapsing and going through memories years old between me and my ex, or me and this girl. And I find myself, again, drawn to her; however, she has been in a relationship since February and also doesn't talk to me much at all now... So I was wondering what I should do with concerns to this, primarily because I'm really missing her and kinda wana find out if she feels the same about me. Also with this third year of uni coming up I'm kinda bored of being single (my uni isn't that big so it's difficult to sleep around etc otherwise you'll make a name for yourself); however, I've decided that this year I wana try and see if I can get something working with someone, a relationship etc... So I was wondering what you guys would suggest about trying to flirt etc (haven't had much practice) and how exactly to pick up girls etc... It's kinda embarrassing that I'm 20 now and have only ever had one serious relationship, one one night stand etc... So yeahs... I guess the crux is basically - pick up tips really and ideas on how to boost confidence. I leave myself at your mercy once again!

Ok, first things first, I accept that hunter is based on random chance and I'm possibly just having a really bad time ATM but this is surprising and annoying me. This morning whilst I was going for 88 craft HYT chat started talking about juju farming potions and I know I've wanted to get them for ages but just have never done it because of hunter. So I decided to give in to Drazhar44 and his constant encouragement and head back to hunter to try and get 70, following his advice of wearing the larupia camo gear to try and increase my catch rate... This; however, has gone horribly wrong. Not only am I finding that I'm getting 5-6k less exp/hour at Red Salamanders, but also I'm getting massive streaks of sallies breaking my traps with 19 collapsed traps in a row over this past hour, and the hour before had 14 in a row. Now I don't know if I'm doing it wrong (I assume I'm not because that'd be very difficult), but I thought with a bear and camo that I'd end up in the 40, 41, 42k mark like I was doing with my randomly cobbled together skilling outfit, maybe even that magical 45k per hour... Not finding myself getting 36 and 37k per hour... So what can I do? I've tried to improve everything I can with my hunter currently, yet all it does it make it worse... I'm 20k off 67 and tempted just to give it up, wait a year or so until I hit 91 RC and then just peng hunter... But it's gona annoy me being so low. Help? What viable method can I do to get to 70 that wont cause me to rip my hair out because it seems to get even worse as I try to improve it...

TBH the standard slayer set up is: Full Slayer Helm. Fury. Rapier/Whip. Dragon Degender. Bandos Chestplate. Bandos Tassets. Barrows Gloves - from RFD. Dragon Boots. RoW/Berserker Ring (You might go for zerker, but I personally use RoW). Fire Cape/Soul wars Cape/Skill Cape. If you decide to sell Tassets etc for more money for skills then buy in Verac Skirt and perhaps a Torag Chestplate (then again you have torso). Also buy in: Prosylite top and bottom. Karil top and bottom. Zamorakian Spear. Ahrim robe top and bottom (if you want to mix up slayer a bit). Staff of Light. Dragon Claws - if you want. Armadyal (only if you're going to range slay). Whip vine when you're 85 atack if you don't have a rapier. Cannon + Cannonballs always makes tasks a lot quicker and you still profit. EEE is good with Bunyip. Also buy in super potions and prayer potions. After this I'd suggest keeping a buffer cash pile you're comfortable with and investing in summoning, prayer and herblore (perhaps herblore for the BXPW when it swings around).

So yeahs, I have finally managed to get around to raising my construction to above 60 (yes I've only just got all 60+) and I'm managing today to do the last 40k to get 65 hunter (mostly because ima try and do a level a day or so so I can hit 70 for jadinkos and better training and juju's).... So this brings me to Nomad. Recently I made a topic about my bossing mojo being misplaced, and most of my friends feel that it'd be a good idea for me to go and die the numerous times and waste millions in supplies so I can get a cape that is only worth 36k.... I kinda disagree, but the allure of the SW cape is there... It would help prolong my trips at bosses etc and anywhere I have to use protection prayers, or even allow me to use Bandos when I turmoil slayer tasks like Abyssal Demons. So yeahs I was wondering what I should do really in terms of Nomad... What invo? Tactics? Set ups? Etc? All of my friends seem pretty confident that I can gear up in black dhide, take an ovl, invo of brews and rests and a yak of brews and rests, turm + ss and use rapier on him and I'd be sorted.... What do you guys think? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You are! :P And yeahs - good idea to put someone with already crippled confidence in bossing, in even WORSE gear than he previously thought of and then send him off to boss... That's really friendly to me, even though I wont lose a lot in terms of gear, what about Ovls, brews, rests etc... All money I don't want to and can't afford to lose.... And once again adds to the defence deficit of my mage etc... As for the grave - if I solo, there's no one to bless, if I dc (which my net has done a fair bit of recently), or I lag like hell going through those "loading please wait screens" - bye bye supplies and gear. Ahha, thought I'd throw this in here, though I'm not too sure how much help it will be for me apart from you guys just telling me to man up! Anyways... Here's my predicament: I like my comfort zone. My comfort zone is good. Bandos and Zamorak are in this comfort zone and therefore they are good. Other bosses are outside my comfort zone, and as mentioned - I don't like being outside it. Yet Octarine and I have a difference of opinion as of late - He detests Bandos with an absolute passion, the crashers, the monotony, and wont go with me because I'm not awake early enough in the morning to do so when he does think about going. Also I've thought long and hard about Zam, and TBH I could get marginally less profit, for way less risk, or hassle by going to the Giant Mole... So I CBA Zammying right now. Which now brings in my confidence issues: Recently Oct has been on a real "AMG I'm 99 range now so ima go pewpew arma because I'm invincible there and have unlimited power@@@, come with." Which, unfortunately, is then met with my rebukes of: A. My gear isn't as good as yours (I'd be in Karils with BSS (maybe EEKs if I really wanted to spend tokens) with him in Arma and Spectral). B. My defence isn't as good as yours - I'm 92 mage and 99 def, he's 99 mage and 99 def. C. My offensive capacity isn't as good as yours - I'm 92 range, he's 99... (Though we'd split anyways.) D. My track record there isn't great - 3 trips, 1 death... 3:1 ratio really isn't good. E. My laptop really really isn't good... The processors die, even when I have just RS open... So it does make moments very worrying... That death there really bashed my confidence doing Arma, I was duoing with a mutual friend of ours because I had been encouraged by Oct to go on a trio trip, his connection dropped out, he told us to go on in and start killing, we did, I died. What can I do in regards to my confidence there? I really have no confidence with regards to it... I hemmorage damage I've duo'd and trio'd in the past, which again I put down to A and B... So apart from getting 99 in mage, getting a lucky streak where I get some good money for arma and a spectral and then have some confidence to do it - what can I do? Also to continue this bandwagon of GWD bosses he's been suggesting Sara now I have a chaotic maul... Again track record there isn't good... Visited once, died once... I messed up a wall walk and then lagged thanks to a "loading please wait" screen half way through hemmoraging damage and Zil just destroyed me. That really destroyed my confidence there, and I don't wana go back, yet I feel bad every time my friend wants to go bossing with me. So apart from manning up because 1 try isn't enough what can I do? It is honestly money that I can't afford to lose as I really don't have money atm. You guys from this might suggest some other bosses so lets run through: KBD: Been there once, was fun, went trio with Drazhar44 and Monkeychee before extremes and the like, but I just CBA with him. KQ: Fun, but no money and I need more of the latter right now than the former. Chaos Ele: Again ^ Corp: Been there, done that, got the 120 goats horn drop. Was good fun, but I can't imagine he and I duoing that.... Team was interesting enough. Nex: No, I'm not even considering that. TD's: On my connection? With my confidence issues already present... With my lack of experience there? No way... DK's: ^ and the fact that I have NEVER been there... No idea the first things about it, and I've watched so many videos on it just making things more confusing because everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has the *PERFECT* places for killing them... Also consdiering my never being there, isn't there a massive monetary risk with them - regardless that I can get back to my grave? So what can I do? My will to boss for money has become severly crippled leaving only Bandos as the only viable one, and until I get a new laptop there is no way that I'll try soloing it... I feel bad turning down Octarine and others all the time for these reasons as they just dismiss them as me being silly, and I guess I am, but I have neither the money (currently only have a 4m cashpile) or inclination to waste my money on supplies with the higher prospect that I'll die and thus the money for them will be wasted, Barrows armour to replace Bandos/the repair cost for Barrows when I die... Help?
