Well to go with my autograph collection blog I thought I'd keep updating you guys with any successes I get. Today through the door came back Jason Flemyng's and I was surprised at the amount of signed stuff he sent me! I had mentioned in the letter that as Becket in Ironclad (AMAZING film... Go watch it now!) he was awesome, as Danny Quinn in Primeval he was epic, and as Azazel in Xmen: First Class he was a Bad Ass - Something which he picked up on and wrote on the signed Azazel piece he sent me! Today is going to be a good day :) Qualifying for F1 - Silverstone too so come on Button and Hamilton! Ironclad came through the post so gona watch that as the afternoon film and I've got a chapter of my dissertation done :D

No mention of Acolyte something you would think they'd put in the news post if it was going to happen. Increased ammo bind? Meh, not too good IMO unless it allows multiple binding, like csb with sagi arrows for hex... Sounds crappy tbh...

Hopefully not the quest... Didn't wanna do a quest to get my cape back before bed. -.- It will be the quest unfortunately :(

The game is literally collapsing around us [/sceptic] Anyways, personal opinion - don't care for clans, in it for the sake of having easy communication with my closest friends. BUT this thing could be cool, I dunno. Personally I'd rather they used their development team to do something better, but what the hey? I'm not the boss of a multi-million pound company that has won awards, so what do I know? At any rate.... Bit early isn't it? Shouldn't these things have landed in like 2 weeks time? Or could we all have our wires crossed and Mother Mallium drops penis (read: slug) shaped rocks on us in the next quest?

Zaryte bow is strongest bow in game... Ranged is lacking in general in my opinion. Woop woop I can hit just above 540 on a Slayer task in Kuradal's dungeon with overloads and Rigour. That's really low compared to what a chaotic rapier can hit (660+). There's not even a special attack on the damn thing. Ranged doesn't really have any good special attacks save for Morrigan's weapons. Dragonfire/armor piercing/blood sacrifice are all very strong. Doesn't have the straight up killing power of claws but still good. Meh... 4k for a bolt and the special effect can be nullified by drinking an antifire potion... Blood sacrifice is useful for Nex only really, it's terrible for PvP and training in general. Diamond (e) bolts are alright, but nothing amazing. They're still there though, you still have the option to actually use them. The fact that you don't use them means YOUR use of the ranged skill is lacking, not the range skill in general as it stands. ^ and look at xpx's point too.

I should think at the very best it'd equal them. But more likely it'll just act as a bridge weapon better than the lvl 70 stuff (whips etc.) but not as good as the chaotics The 'new' whip will have a higher requirement than chaotic weapons. You can be pretty sure it'll be better. Yeah cause its not like there's heaps of gear about where lower req stuff pwns higher req stuff in general use. eg godswords in general suck depsite being 75 attack compared to 70 for whip or many other equally useful weapons such as Korasi's, d scimmy, brackish blade etc that fall in at 60 etc. Aye but you have to consider that this lower req stuff is a lot newer than the older stuff. Godswords are very old and are thus outdated by newer weapons. Therefore it is difficult to actually compare a godsword to these new items. I mean... It's like comparing Graar to Nex or something along those lines. These newer weapons have become consistently better, and so how can you blame us for not expecting the trend to continue to this whip?

It requires 85 attack and 80 slayer. It should be better than a rapier at least. I think that would be [cabbage]. To get a rapier you need 80 dungeoneering, and you need to trade in all the tokens you've gained up to that point, and you have to repair it every 10 hours. Unless the vine drop is really rare and expensive, I don't think it should even come close to the strength of chaotic weapons. Otherwise, it would make all the time I've spent training dungeoneering for my rapier seem like a waste. The upgraded whip has more difficult reqs to fill than the rapier does. Doing 5:5's with DGS it took a week - max - to get from 68-80 DG... Nowadays it would probably take me 2 days to get the tokens for another chaotic even if I didn't nolife DG. Tbh 12 slash attack and 20 strength would be a good addition to the whip. IMHO 80 slayer and 85 attack takes longer to get than rapier. At any rate, the fact that it's a higher tier level attack weapon should show that it will probably rival the rapier which you only need 80 attack for...

Why even bother, when people like Bruno can smuggle things in and out of Dae anyways? Ahhhh can't wait to see all the bugs that this brings out allowing Bruno and others to smuggle more :) Clan citadels sounds ok that they wont affect normal RS world. Jadinko area is a bit crappy. More slayer monsters is good, but it sounds meh anyways. More woodcutting and firemaking updates to make those two skills oh so easier... Pathetic month really... Good to see we've got the summer off with a bang.

Will probably be stuff like magic/ yew trees or new locations for other redundant but fairly high level content (charm sprites, adamant ore etc). Either that or another poorly worded post, maybe something such as a clan bank for supplies such as sharks etc (obviously you would have to trust clan members not to just clean it...) If they do that they'll make the game even easier. Consider it the way that it was discussed on another recent topic (think it was the one about instanced tzharr stuff or something). IF you have good instanced resources that can be used to make money - however inefficient or impractical - just think of all the extra resources coming into the game. More supply, less demand thus saturating the economy with resources that it cannot cope with. Think of how many hundreds of thousands of players there are in RS, then think of all the clans who'll have a citadel. Admittedly not everyone will use it - Obt's point basically - but think of all those that will fill it with good resources. Either it'll become an "overpowered" place with the ability to accumulate saught after resources without competition thus increasing the supply of resources and driving down prices. Or it'll become an abandoned idea that once was popular for 24 hours of game time due to not being allowed to put rune ores and magic trees in there. Admittedly I'd love that to happen, I've got many skills I currently want to raise and if the prices fell it would help greatly, but it's meant to be a challenge, and there's nothing challenging if Jagex is offering people the chance to have no competition at resources and then allowing them to saturate the market with the stuff. IMHO they need to make these citadels like Dungeoneering. You find the place abandoned from long ago, you find some basic tools, you find some basic resources, you get resources, make better tools, then use the better things to make your citadel. BUT from the wording of the post and the logic that is Jagex's collective hive mind, this will be geared towards making the game even easier.

Biggest as in biggest new addition to landmass? Or biggest as in what they consider to be one of the biggest and best updates this year.... If the latter then dear God help us all...

Well, a few years ago I joined a site called fanmail.biz and started sending off fanmail in the hope that I could build up an autograph collection. Last summer didn't go so well in terms of successes with only 1 out of the 10 or so I sent off coming back, but I decided to give it another shot this summer. So I was telling Shyla's chat just now about getting Dawn French's back this morning, and Roger Lloyd Pack's yesterday and they prompted me to make a blog post about it... So here it is. It's fairly small atm, but I'm hoping to make it larger as time goes on.... Imageshack gave up the ghost after uploading the majority of these, so I used Tinypic for a few... Same. You don't need to use an email (at least for the initial login, maybe they changed it recently). After logging in I was welcomed with a white page, so I used ReloadEvery (Firefox addon) to reload the page until it displayed the correct page. You need to have an email registered. Some people have either registered an email then left it for a year or so and it becomes unregistered (like moi), or they never registered one. You do need a an email registered because it's connected to your membership by the seems of things.

TBH interested by this... IF I COULD GET MY BLOODY EMAIL WORKING!@! At any rate: Outfits: Only one I'm bothering to looki at buying is the Saxon one... Those of you from Shyla's chat/or anyone I speak to a lot on RS will know that I'm reading Medieval Studies at university, so it's kinda the obvious one for me ;) Titles: They're tacky and nasty, but meh, might as well join the crowd eh? Again, only two of them I'm interested in really - and again it's to do with my degree - Lionheart and Crusader.... Then again I'm disappointed they didn't do a "Templar" title or something awesome like that.... Emotes: Facepalm is the evident one that I'd like, ROFL and Storm/Snow too. But anyways at the end of the day, I, like many others, will want to complete all the emotes and therefore I can see myself prioritising these over Auras, Outfits and Titles. Auras: Egh.... Where do I start? What one to get? ;-; I have no idea, and whilst I'm eager to register to this programme, I have to step back and say "Hold on, whilst I want one badly to look awesome... Which one do I pick?!" Call of the Sea will probably be my first as I am aiming for 99 fishing through the unorthodox method of Monkfish and Rocktails.... Reverence might also be on the cards, but I hardly Slay atm as I've been skilling. Oddball is definitely one I want for when I finish skilling and head back to Slayer, and then Jack of All Trades is the one that everyone wants.... So yeahs. IMHO Good update in most ways. Just disappointing it takes forever. Bring on a good month soon Jagex.

TBH if you really want to become ultimately nitpicky Wessan we're already RWTing on a massive scale! Yes! That's right! We pay £3.20 (at minimum) so that we can wear Bandos or Barrows or Dragon Armour, wield Chaotic weapons, or even a whip, and do a massive part of the quests. These auras are nothing more than an extention of that. You build up in-game points through having membership. Oh wait, you say that's different to everything else? Well... Don't you build up in-game cash through Slayer, Herb runs and Bossing, then after a period of time you buy whatever you want? Oh deary me... On a more serious note, I stand by Carl on this. At any rate... 1 day left, I'm interested and excited for this. Seems like it could be cool :)
