Pictures are both on Twitter and Facebook. Therefore one would assume Tuesday for the update as normally teaser = weekend: update = tuesday. Then again, it could be tomorrow due to it being May 1st... Actually... Scrap that, they release updates on the week days and Monday = May Day bank holiday in the UK, therefore I stick by Tuesday.

TBH Unless you're really sure on it/have seen it noted I don't think Jagex will make an American HQ. It'd just be too confusing and difficult. They're an English born, English based company with multicultural links yes. The first place they'd probably add a HQ is into Europe somewhere. But then again think about it, if they created an American HQ there'd be 2 bases to try and negotiate through. You wouldn't be able to have the kind of update schedule we have now. And if you're thinking "Well they could keep the updaters in the UK and the customer service people in the US" then you sir are a fool. Jagex runs 24/7 with Mod's there all the time to assess complaints and the like no matter where from. I just honestly don't believe that just because the American base is largest that Jagex would put a HQ out there to deal with it specifically... It'd have been like if the Royal Wedding that happened yesterday was broadcast at 1PM here so the Americans could watch it live from 8AM. Just makes no sense to me... Personally I think they'll stay English for a long time... And I really really really really really really really *can't stress this enough* REALLY don't think Jagex will go public...

Now I've been talking to a few people about this, and have done several things, so here's the story of the laptop and I'm wondering if anyone can help. I'm not a computer guy so please please please use dumb person talk after you do jargon talk for me <3: Basically I wanted a good laptop for University before I was starting my first year in September of 2009. So my Grandad paid for an Acer Aspire 5536, a seemingly medium range, reasonable laptop. The Specs: AMD Turion X2 technology RM 74 (2.2GHz) ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics Up to 1408 MB HyperMemory 15.6" HD LED LCD 4 GB Memory 500 GB HDD ^ Seems pretty sweet right? So when I first had it I did the usual things I do: Install Norton as everyone says that's the best. Get FireFox as everyone says that's the best. Get iTunes because that's the best for music. MSN. Modzilla Thunderbird, Skype and Spotify. Recently I've downloaded Minecraft and the RS client, but those are the only things I have downloaded. Now the problem is thus: After I downloaded everything I wanted I started playing RS etc and the autoset up put it in HD fullscreen etc and it was amazing. This lasted for only 3 months before my laptop was beset with problems and before admitting it was my laptops fault I got the techs at uni to check the sockets etc but alas it was my lappy... Now the thing lagged like absolute hell trying to play Rune, it couldn't even multitask, opening FireFox with iTunes open seemed a task and a half whereas in the first few months it'd do it at a click. So a friend sent off my application for my free windows 7 upgrade and apparently Vista didn't work well and was making me lag due to a Service Pack getting stuck in the updates and not being able to execute it (which is the problem the tech people everywhere put it down to). So I backed up everything and restored it and installed Windows 7. A week later I still had the same problems. A hallmate of mine who lived on my corridor was very computer savvy and downloaded CCleaner and Spybot for me and did all that stuff fixing my registry and scanning for spyware. Still nothing worked. So I persevered with a laptop that lagged like no tomorrow. August came and enough was enough I wanted it fixed. So I sent it off to the TechGuys and it came back and worked brilliantly again.... UNTIL you guessed it, 3 months down the line it lagged again. So I've rebooted it etc, everything like last time, Spybot, CCleaner, constant virus scans. NOTHING. Now a friend put me onto an app called CoreTemp and I used it today and the laptop was averaging 85-110oC (threshold is apparently 100oC) even with all fans being clear (I have it raised etc). Now am I right in thinking that the processors on it are totally [bleep]ed and that I should get a new laptop (been looking at a Dell Studio like my best friend has tbh), I just really can't figure what the hell is wrong with this thing apart from overheating. But I honestly can't be bothered sending it off in summer time again for a month for it to come back and work for all of 3 months. I need this for Dissertation work. So please please please please please can someone answer my prayers and tell me why my laptop just seems so [bleep]ed? It's really depressing me as I now have a netbook and generally just play RS on my laptop (lagging around in Safe Mode) and browse the web on my netbook :/

Getting a new PC to key in RuneScape? I can understand maybe upgrading to play the all new FPS... But RuneScape? :P RS is the only game I really play on the computer :3 Other than that it's facebook, iTunes, essays and here I use it for really. :3 Other than that my laptop was a good one 2 years ago - Acer Aspire 5536... But the thing lags like bloody hell whenever trying to do 2 things at once. iTunes dies when browsing the web, RS dies when trying to browse the web, the web lags when I try to do work on it. All in all it's slow and laggy and I don't know why. Restored it twice, sent it off once and had it fixed.... Worked brill for 3 months after I had it - after that it lagged up. Restored and installed Windows 7, nothing, sent it off, worked for 3 months, restored it again... CBA sending it off again, yet when playing RS people in DGS are going to expect me to key etc at some point and I don't wana give them 60 min+ floors :(

Wait isn't cannon's only *slightly* affected by your armour etc? And also Dragon Defender has -2 range accuracy so surely it is minimally detrimental to the cannons accuracy taking it away not giving it.... :???:

Just had perhaps one of the best DG's I've had :3 I was a nub in a pro team of Troll, Coq, Meam and Matt and I managed to keep up. :3 Thanks DGS for getting me into DGing :3

First things first there's no point wasting the arrow slot for a Sara arrow. You're in combat with Sara followers for all of 5 seconds. If they're that big a worry then put on protect mage until you run to the Zam bridge. Ideal Set up: Slayer Helm Fury Karils Leather Top Karils Leather Skirt Barrow Gloves Zamorakian Arrow Dragon Boots Soulwars Cape Spectral/Blessed Spirit shield CLS Ring of Wealth I would highly advise you to get a rapier due to better DPS. Though saying that if using the CLS make sure to have it on stab. I would definitely tell you to get those last 2 summoning levels and 3 herb levels (and learn to stew) as a Yak and extremes would make your stays much longer. Now for invent: 1 extreme/super set. 1 Antipoison p++ 4 prayer potions (at 95 I use 2 doses to get my prayer back to a good amount and kill imps for KC. This means no used up prayer for KC.... Also why 2 trips across the water? You only need to do one) Spare Tort pouch 1 Unicorn Stallion Pouch 100-200 Healing Aura Scrolls House Tele (If you try and hero kill k'ril and get poisoned, tele then die you will respawn in your house safely. Also allows you to recharge summon and prayer quickly and then glory to edge for banking etc) EE/EEE/Claws - Here it can be debated about extra damage and extra healing. But my friend who normally tanks Zammy takes EEE as it's useful for healing whilst I use claws. Rocktails War tort: 1 Prayer pot Rest Rocktails When tort is empty summon the Unicorn. Unicorn is fantastic due to added healing and it can cure poison. So to summarise: Get a few bits of better gear here and there. Don't bother with DDS. Not really needed and K'ril can't be poisoned, instead go for EE/EEE/Claws for better healing/damage. Get 3 herblore levels and get a lot of brown spice for stews and get extremes, get 2 more summoning levels and use a Unicorn Stallion when Tort is out. Here's what you need to do. You know that disk that came with your laptop that had the Windows logo on it and was probably labeled something to the effect of KEEP THIS OR ELSE YOU'RE A GIGANTIC MORON? You kept it, right? You need to back up anything important on your computer, and then use that disk to format your hard drive and reinstall Windows (Google this, it's not hard). Then, you need to not wander around the Internet downloading whatever strikes your fancy so that your computer doesn't get bogged down by a mountain of spyware again, because that is almost definitely why a computer with specs like that can't run RS. Formatting it will take all the crap off easily and it should start running as smoothly as the day you bought it- if not, you do have a legitimate hardware problem and should probably see if it's still under warranty. If you didn't keep that disk, you need to contact Microsoft and see what you need to do to get them to send you a new one. Good luck! It is actual genuine hardware :3 I've formatted it before and installed windows 7 with no effect, sent it off to the TechGuys and they sorted it, 3 months later and I formatted it again due to same problem. Again restoring it doesn't work and so I've left it this time. CBA sending it off to have it break 3 months later... I use Spybot etc and regularly clean my comp anyways. Basically my processors are broken. :/ and it overheats too much even when all fans are clear.

But it felt fast :3 and tbh 70K exp in roughly an hour and 15 isn't honestly bad at all for me! I actually enjoyed it a fair bit. Just have to try and keep up :P But I think I did ok for my first DGS DG's...

Found the 2 DG's I've done this morning fun! :o Torstol Pie keyed a great floor and the guys let me have the hood drop! <3: Gwyn and recci hero keyed a floor for me because Gwyn promised just up a bit, by the time I had finished "loading please wait" the DG was already over! <3: I'm up for more late when I have more free time :o Apart from not understanding a letter of the abbreviated stuff I hope I did ok for my first DGS floors :3 Honestly rekki was like "hytggsgd" and everyone was "yep ok" with me "Huh? o.O" haha, but it was fun! :)

Saradomin Mage: Naw I don't have silk hood atm but that is a bind I would like to get nailed down because it'd make the DG's with kandy etc better. I am suffering from roughly 5 seconds, but it happens on all types of screen setting I do, so I've just left it on the "Auto set up" one of HD resizeable. I even use the client as that reduces lag but there's just times when it totally freezes up. And alrighty I will do <3 Link: My lappy is actually new since August 2009 just before I went to uni. I wanted a top of the range dealy and my grandad paid for it as a present to go to uni. Just got back my prestige now after ragequitting dunge, as friends and the want to at least round 68 DG to 70 made keeping prestige at 1 too hard. Ima try DGS again see if you do any of my floors, I want to learn because ultimately I would like 6-8M in the skill for Rapier, Ccbow, CLS, and Rigour; however, if by 70 my exp is still [cabbage], and I'm really not enjoying 30/40/50 min large floors even with friends I will properly rage quit it, binds destroying and all. Hope all you guys can put up with me :3 Ima whack here most of what a PM to Obt the other night said and hopefully a few of you can help maybe open my eyes a bit more and stop me being so hateful of this minigame skill.... Skiligame.... Yes.... Skiligame.... And please if I am too unaware of what to do in DG do tell me, and if you feel it best that I don't join DGS for floors because ultimately (I know too) I will slow you down, some way, some how or another, whether it's my fault or my lag. The PM below will illustrate that I know hardly anything when it comes to DG thus adding to the hatred of it. Just thought I'd send you a message and try to talk through a bit more about dg. I know I've probably frustrated you a lot lately with all this talk, but today I just melted down over it, completely to the point where I reset my prestige to 1 and forever ignore it. I still detest it more than ever, due to the very nature and fabric of it and a bad subconscious implication that has been forever associated with it. I will try my best to learn how to key and be better at DG, but one thing you need to know is my laptop is insane with lag. "Loading please wait" screens are the bane of my existance, and normally whomever I DG with will have cleared the next room (or be running through another door if they have SSH's and thus causing more lag) before I can even move. *IMPORTANT* This is a real big factor for my DGSing... It's the reason I'm so reluctant to key until I have a new better lappy. Currently I really feel that because my exp sucks so bad, and my level is so bad (sat in DGS a few days back and in 10 hours of me being sat there reading everything there were 2 ABD calls.) I'm just so disenchanted. My pessimism comes from what has so far been a really not fun yet fun experience DGing (Oxymoron I know). I'd do 3:3 with friends yet we'd take an hour (fun) and I'd only get 30K exp. Which ultimately made me even more disenchanted with DG even though I had a bit of fun along the way. Also solo my exp sucks ass. So I'm looking at this goal of 85 DG on rune and seeing the mountain of 2.6M exp and just giving up straight off. I need to endure [cabbage] exp to get to better exp, but that good exp doesn't come until I hit 80+ DG and by 83 I'll have my rapier. Thus adding to the disenchantment. All in all Dungeoneering has been nothing but a disappointment to me and training it has been more trouble than it's worth. DG forces you to be with utter strangers who could be total [bleep]s and just make my experience worse, which is why I've stuck to just wallowing in my own self pity that I have [cabbage] DG and blaming it on being "too noob for teams" thus allowing me to escape having to be around strangers I don't know and escape from Solo because "the exp is too inefficient, I need a team". And I was talking to Enaid about this, but thing is TIFers I know and talk to a lot know I lag badly, yet those in CC might not, and when I was told to start keying floors, I really don't think the people joining me that aren't TIFers I know well would enjoy a 60 min + large. And another thing is I don't know the first things about being efficient at DG. Some of the terms people come out with really confuse me like DENK and other abbreviations. Even in DGS chat I get confused with people saying "ABD+2" (which I got Trollgazer to talk me through that they're waiting for 2 people to make a 5 man team). Yet how do I know what floors they're doing, how many they're doing etc. Because don't forget I'm 3 levels off Occults (? I think) yet when people say "Occult+3" I could be thinking "Yeah great! I'll be there!" yet when I get there they wont be doing my floor. Or when someone is doing ABD's I go there and they're only doing F34, or one of my lower floors, therefore giving me sporadic completion. Now sooner or later I'm going to run out of excuses to tell you and recycle well: My level is too low, I lag too bad, I don't know how to efficiently DG, I'm too noob, my exp sucks, I'm too confused. But it's all of these factors that have culminated in my utter apathy when people ask me to DG and my complete loathing of the skill. I'm just really really lost, stuck and confused with DG and need some major guidance before I have my next big meltdown as mentioned where I will go fully nuclear and bye bye binds. I hope you all understand where my pessimism comes from. It's not through lack of trying, but more being messed around by people and therefore giving up the idea of having a nice team. I would highly appreciate that any reply to that main body of text edited from a PM to Obt would be made out as a PM to me because I think it'll just be easier for me to have something I can come back to easily instead of searching pages and pages for it. Oh and one other notible thing: I'm GMT or what would probably be BST now as I'm English. I would but my mage gear stinks. I dont have any void items, and have very little interest right now in mini games that would take hours to get points to get void. Dagonhai top + bottom, SoL, Unholy Book, Infinity/Wizard boots. Sorted. When you can, upgrade to Ahrims. Void isn't used for slayer tbh.

85 is plenty high enough if you're duoing with someone who's pretty muched maxed. Then again if you want it up nice and easily do some mage slayer. Tasks like Steels, Irons, Ice Strykes and Abyssals are good big chunks of mage exp.

Right well you being pretty much maxed melee and 94 slayer I'm surprised you haven't been cannoning already. In reply to the topic title: Yes, to cannon. Cannoning makes everything a lot more simple and a lot more quick. As mentioned the cannon is only ~700k and cballs are now at a cost so low that stocking up isn't too bad. In my last slayer level I have made the equvalent money for ~100K + cballs, yet only invest in 20K at a time to stop myself being silly and have invested money in other slayer stuff like runes. 20K cballs only costs ~4M gp, which at 94 slayer you should be getting at least trebel that. The basics of how to buy and use a cannon = Go to GE, buy it, exchange the box for the relevant parts of the set, buy 10K cballs and you're already off to a good start. Depending on your slayer task just put the cannon down, load it up and enjoy, even in single combat. As soon as your cannon emmits a strange smokey puff thing, and a red message comes up on your screen detailing that your cannon is almost decayed, just pick it up and wait a kill and set it back down and start it off again. Do note though that it takes 30 Cballs at a time, and it's best to stay by the cannon. For slayer it just about speeds anything up, and turns some tasks into absolute goldmines of exp - eg daggonoths - I had 171 of them earlier today, finished task in 13 mins. It really is THAT good. And seeing as you're 94 slayer I'm going to assume you use Kuradal: This is a list of what I personally cannon and dont. Aberrant Spectres - Cannon Black Demons - Highly advise you get a yak before you cannon these, yet if money isn't an issue and injecting ~4/5/6K cballs into these then by all means. Then again if you have the patience to tort the ashes do so. Black Dragons - Cannon Bloodvelds - Do, Mutated Velds are amazing exp with this. Dagannoths - DO. Dark Beasts - Efficiency vs afkness. If you want ~10k exp/h quicker then cannon (look at the question in the metagame discussion board). Desert Strykewyrms - Do. Fire giants - Do. Hellhounds - Do. Jungle Strykewyrms - Do. Kalphites - Do. Living Rock creatures - Definitely DO! Skeletal wyverns - Do. Suqahs - Do. Abyssal Demons - Don't Blue dragons - Don't. Dust Devils - Not too sure if you can >.< Gargoyles - Don't. Greater Demons - Don't. Ice Strykewyrms - Don't. Iron Dragons - Don't. Mithril Dragons - Don't. Nechryaels - Don't. Spiritual Mages - Don't. Steel Dragons - Don't. Terror dogs - Don't. TzHaar - Don't. Warped Tortoises - Don't. Waterfiends - Don't. Cannon really does speed up the tasks mentioned unbelievably, and is also fairly decent range exp. I'm currently 90K from 92 ranged and have cannoned slayer tasks ever since 70 range! It is highly beneficial to do Aberrants, Black Demons, Black Dragons, Daggonoths, Mutated Velds and Wyverns as all but two are practical veritable gold mines of slayer and ranged exp. I think Nostar nailed it with the Non-Slayer cannon: Green, Blue, Black, Frost Dragons Black Demons (but with yak for prime ease of banking ashes) Aberrant Spectres. Honestly though for both the smithing exp and prayer exp let me tell you this: Smithing it will be better if you don't do cannonballs because they are EXTREMELY slow. Depending on what level you want to go for you can try them, but it's perhaps better if you go do some other money maker and then invest in gold and runes until 88 smith then addy plates up to 99 (addy plates are really cheap exp/gp atm). And with prayer again the same thing - you'll be better off going bossing to Bandos or TD's then spending money from drops on prayer.

Ah ok, this can be closed and deleted then :S I just thought it was extremely odd being told I was a War of Legends player when I've never touched the game.
