  1. I was thinking the same thing, Jagex is already in dangerous waters with the updates they've been presenting recently. I really hope this skill comes out with a bang for their sake. If this skill flops they are in deep [cabbage], not to mention the months they spent developing it wasted. When has any skill ever been a flop? Construction = really great advertising (get your own house!) Summoning = best support skill + good advertising (get your own pet!) Farming = greatly affected herblore, appeals to a niche of players Hunting = good resource support skill All the new skills have been designed pretty well. Summoning especially. I don't understand the need for updates. I would be happy playing RS the way it is now for a long while. Herb + Pray updates should keep you busy, and if you aren't busy with them, then there's your new goal. You missed Slayer, which is quite possibly the best skill ever released to this game. Also Runecrafting, which was totally awesome when it came out, altho i realize not many people are actually around who were there to witness it. EDIT: I'm pretty sure jagex already said that the new skill isnt going to be a "money sink" like construction and summoning were. I have seen a thread that explored ideas about it, cant remember where tho.
  2. Shattered Heart was a great update. Althought apparently not for you, as it seems that you prefer to not recieve free xp in certain skills just while you are training them. And strykewyrms were an amazing update. One would think that people with 93-99 slayer would have a little more patience and wouldn't be quite so damn whiney. This appears not to be the case. And then you remember that for every 93+ slayer that was whining, there were 20 with lvl 65(for d chain, but they never had the patience to actually get one) and down who were rolling around on the floor kicking and screaming. It just makes your eyes tear up remebering the pain your ears underwent during that time. Graphics and Trade updates were amazing and worth 5 stars. You have obviously never used an Orb of Occulus. I went exploring the new castle with it, and it looks pretty freaking awesome. And it has its uses in BH worlds as well, you can look up and down the wild in search of a victim >:-) Nice of you to leave the amazing recent updates out tho. Nomad's requiem was one of the best ones I have seen, and the cape is amazing.
  3. I do not think jagex should do something like this. It would totally devalue all items, and debase the currency.
  4. Well, you have proved this nicely. Good for you. We are all happy you have enlighented us. Now for some simple math. If you have had your account since you were 13, and you started playing in classic. Then you would be coming up on about 7 years playing. So, the vast majority of the players who started during classic, are at least 19 or 20 years old. I would since the OP never said anything about being serious, and no one else has mentioned it, then I would have to assume that the only reason you even included it was because you felt like insulting someone for a grammer mistake on the internet. Perhaps you thought that it made your "logic" (hahaha) stronger. Whatever the reason, you didn't answer the question.
  5. Im from classic :) Got my scythe and everything :D
  6. There is hardware that could do that. But your argument is moot anyway, because in fact when you click on your own mouse just once, the pressure does not travel throught the cord, and through your computer, and actually press on that herb. What in face happens is a small potential difference is generated between your mouse and the computer. The potential difference causes charge to flow along your mouse cord, into the computer where it is then interpreted by SOFTWARE as a "click". Hell, why not just build a mouse and have it display 28 pointer images on the screen, and a click would cause all of them to "click". It would not actually take any "new" sort of program, the mouse supplies you plug in could just have this function just like a normal mouse you plug in moves a single pointer across the screen. Perhaps you could hold controll to remove the 27 extra pointers for banking purposes. That would function exactly like your mouse fuctions now, the software controlling the clicks would be identical to the one you are using to click "add reply" to this thread.
  7. I do slayer for alot of my income. Its awesome, kuradel all the way, and just power thru the tasks with super sets and uni or bunyip. I also do farm runs in between slayer tasks. MTK is always going, I collect once a week or so and I restore favor every 2 days. I also have been fishing lately, and the granite lobster forages fish, about 15k worth of raw sharks and swords per lobby. Magpie is also a good familiar to use since it forages saph-diamond rings, both enchanted and unenchanted. There are some other things, but I dont want to give away ALL my secrets. lol. Good Luck :)
  8. Yeah, that is what it is. My computer is not the fastest one on the planet (snails are losing their spot for analogies about slowness) so its synced differently for me every time I load the page. Kind of amusing actually, apparently when i get a "baby" baby green dragon, it turns black when it becomes an "adult" baby green dragon. Until I refresh that is......
  9. This theory has popped up in its own thread at least once a month since Summoning launched, and every month before then. Everything pointed out here: 1. It's the perfect time. 2. This update is a hint towards it. 3. The twitter update 4. It is ___ days/months/years after X update 5. Jagex being cryptic. As for #3, is that really evidence? Jagex being too direct with their hint? I've heard that countless times since Jagex started doing hints on Twitter, and every time it was exactly what they said it would be. Jagex sets themselves up for this, and I know they love players speculating, but they pretty much trashed the concept of verbatim back in 2005 when they announced Player Owned Houses in the Behind the Scenes as "be able to sit in chairs," because for years after every ending to every Behind the Scenes was somehow a hint towards something huge, which is why so many people ranted at the end of each month. Jagex would say "We're upgrading the engine to improve performance on lower end machines," and somehow people would turn that into "Upgrading the engine? THAT MUST MEAN KEWL 3D GRAPHX ON A NEW ENGINE!" only to end in miserable disappointment when it turns out that the update was indeed just an engine update for performance. And for the record, the new skill could come out tomorrow and that still wouldn't make the OP right. Someone has called out new skill virtually every week with similar supporting evidence, since the new skill was confirmed. If I tell someone it's going to rain every morning, it doesn't make me a weather man when three weeks later, it rains. Throw enough spaghetti at the fridge, and at least one strand will stick eventually, no matter how poorly the pasta is cooked. if the spaghetti is dry, then you have to make the fridge sticky somehow.
  10. the baby dragon images in your summoning guide are out of sync. the pic of the egg turns blue and the pic of the baby drag turns blue, but the adult one is red. the adult pic is always a step ahead of the other 2.
  11. herblore calculator and planner lists cleaning wergali as lvl 46, it should be level 41 [Crew edit: Thanks for this correction. It has been corrected. - Speedyshel]
  12. i don't like the name change, i mean, what if someone askes you "con lvl?" What are you supposed to say? do i say 52? or 93?
  13. I was wondering about that too, does that mean f2p stay at 2k people and p2p is now 2k+ people? i think the epic world size actually refers to the size of the ingame world. You know, like it is 30,000x45,000 squares or whatever. I dont acutally know the size, i just made those numbers up.
  14. i think the killing blow is the stuff u need to do to finish the monster off, like lizards, gargoyles, and such. You will be able to hit the gargoyle faster with the hammer then b4 or something. Maybe make it automatic
  15. yes, i agree with you somewhat. to be honest tho, i kinda feel sad. My account is pretty much older then 95% of the other people i meet in game. I came from classic. And throughout the game, there have been very few skills that remained the same. I will miss the good old reliable hitpoints skill  it was one of the few things that has remained the same since time immemorial. Let us hold a moment of silence for that which is now gone............ I came from classic as well. I can just see things without my Nostalgia Glasses. that was mostly just me fooling around lol. I do think it was a good update overall.

  17. How does he have 99 hits with such low stats? does this mean there are gonna be new ways to level your hits skill without gaining any other xp? no, jagex posts impossible pics to demonstrate their stuff. in the ingame pics, you use to be able to find dudes with lvl 1 in all stats and holding like 50m cash and a partyhat
  18. This is the only interesting question out of the hundreds of posts so far. No offense. thanks :) im hoping they forgot :P
  19. Unique does not mean better mate. Never said better? I just liked how unique runescape was, all the mmo's followed each others footsteps, and it looks like Runescape has started to follow too. I agree. This will appeal to those who like superficially hitting higher. Notice that the game is being more targetted to ADD little kids. In the end it's just the same though. If monsters take the same time to kill etc. It's a shame all that is unique about RS is just being revamped. Clearly there was something appealing about what they were doing before as it attracted so many players. I think they should have foccused on word of mouth. The best guide to this game is still a experienced friend showing you the ropes. No NPC, or tutorials or hitting fewer 0's can replace that. Plus it's still annoying if you hit a bunch of 1's instead of 0's. [/hide] If you said that you like the unique RS(99 hp) more than the more updated RS(990 hp), I am assuming you mean better. @Canadiansmurf: Seriously? You think this is targeted towarded kids with ADD? You better think more throughly before you type. I really really do not understand how before attracted many players, do you mean it attracts less now? Honestly mate. I dont think i like this, altho it will be fun to see. But the 99hp cap was kind of nice, and its gonna make it alot harder to get a max hit on anything. Plus, the corp beast now has 20k hp, thats just too much
  20. ok, did they change the xp you get for doing 1 damage? or did they multiply all the xp you need by 10? if neither, you can expect me to be down at spiders grabbing loads of melee xp.
  21. you log back in the center regardless of where you log off! isn't that awesome? from what I heard, focus sight/hexcrest is still glitched against targets that do not have a slayer requirement to kill in other words going on task with a focus sight won't be any easier than killing Jad without a task Took me 4 tries personally, Don't sweat it too bad. log off as many times as you need, look up new strategies i personally prefer the keep prayer on pro mage at all times except when you see the range attack coming, since the range attack is easier to distinguish, and the magic attack looks similar to jad's recoil. ah yes, i discovered this, and well, thats another 300k worth of pots gone :( 3 deaths in 2 days. wow, i dont even die this much pking.......
  22. Not really. 1) The game gives you a short grace period when the wave begins, which includes if you log in. This means for the first couple seconds, the monsters will be there, but not attack. 2) Ket-Zek really doesn't hit that high. If your HP is decent, you can easily survive one hit, probably two. With good equipment, probably three. 3) There's no time limit, so if you wish, you can trap the remaining monsters on the wave and restore your hitpoints with the Enhanced Excalibur. Dream, Regen Bracelet, and resting can all be effective too, with patience, so as long as you survive the wave, the damage isn't necessarily a problem. Keeping all this in mind, and the quick-prayers and hot keys, it's not hard at all to get through waves with Ket-Zek. I don't recommend logging out after Wave 61 though, for obvious reasons... Well I died to jad yesterday, and today, and hopefully 3rd time is the charm cause im about to log in on wave 40 something. Soo, i will be posting in like 20-40 minutes, with results. Already failed while on slayer task :( just normally fighting now. Hope you are right about that grace period, otherwise im done for. Standing out the the middle of the cave and all
  23. So that's what happened to the Berlin wall.................... I have to say that there were probably very few 93+ slayers who did not have a firecape though. Maybe there weren't but it seems unlikely.
