  1. At least now the 1800+ can rant about losing their 76k'd ags in a different forum then -1400 rant about losing their 76k'd ags.
  2. Black mask or slayer helm is pretty much required. If you haven't completed Smoking Kills, you should, because the points you get from slayer are very usuful. Armor: Rune Platebody Rune Platelegs Dragon Boots Barrows Gloves (regen brace works also if you haven't finished enough of RFD to get the Dragon gloves) Rune Defender (Obby shield for tasks that need more defense) Glory Amulet Skill Cape or Soul Wars cape or Obby cape or Legends Cape Weapon: Abyssal Whip (with dds as spec weapon) If you have some cash you are willing to spend, then you can upgrade some of this gear. Here are some of the upgrades I use. Full slayer helm. (worth it, get it when you can) Fury (totally worth it in my opinion) Warrior Ring (I love the extra slash bonus, and relatively inexpensive) Dragon Legs or Skirt (extra defense is always nice) Dragon Chain or Platebody (great defense bonus, cheaper then bandos) Rune armor works fine for most tasks. I highly recommend getting a Fury and the Full slayer helm. Also, a bunyip is invaluable, so getting 68 sum should be a high priority. It should cost about 2mil from where you are now, using crimson to make Stranger Plants. Edit: Should take you about 650 Stranger Plants to get 68 sum. So 2.7m for shards and Bagged plants (get the plants from the fally park girl, not the ge). Then if you trade all the pouches in for more shards, and sell those to petshop owner, you will get 1.4m back.
  3. i support, and hopefully when i finally finish farming all my avantoe, you will be able to hold extremes in a BoB
  4. You get over 400m cash getting 99 rc. It takes about 570 grhaaks, and about 20 days of play time. That would be 2mil an hour or so.
  5. If you can't upgrade your computer then common sense will tell you that you won't be able to keep up with the latest games, not to mention ALL MMOs have their system requirements go up every few years. I was able to build my own computer to play the latest games on maximum settings, for $600. Building a computer to play runescape would cost a pittance in comparison. If we stifled innovation and progress every time someone was left out, whether it be by choice or not, then we would still be on dial-up because not everywhere has broadband/dsl/cable, playing our text-based games because "not everyone has a super compooter" and eating garbage because "not everyone has enough money for fresh fruits and vegetables." It's like when the US announced it would be joining much of the rest of the world by switching to digital broadcast instead of analog, and thousands of people went nuts because they had to spend ten bucks (The boxes are 50, but everyone got a $40 voucher) on a converter box. What a bunch of crybabies. It seems to me you are whining about someone whining. I have a feeling that if those games changed their specifications and rendered your $600 worthless, you might be slightly frustrated with them. On the other note, if we tried to controll innovation and invention, we would end up with price controls, and government run corporations, and windfall taxes, and other such nonsense. Also, Al Gore would never have invented the internet, gossip and rumors would not be able to propogate with such speed, we would never be able to know if Brad and Angelina were together this week because Gutenberg would have been hung for heresy. The Sun would still be thought to orbit our flat Earth, and we would all use sledges like the Incas (a wheel-less civilization) because Og would never have invented the wheel!!!!! Life would be like a field of cabbages, would it not?
  6. Im pretty sure the shield is a primal kiteshield. And i do not like the new look. If they really changed the game name to that, i will be extremely disappointed. Lets just leave it as runescape. No need to advertize the newest way they can not quite get something right the first time. We all already know anyway.
  7. hahahah my ad log says my account doesnt exist, but its there on the highscores. strange............
  8. it occurs that this might be info about accounts that could be used to steal them
  9. I enjoyed the first article :) About the second tho. You got your example backwards. Doing slayer assignments is fun, you get to break up combat training across many different monsters, with the chance at huge drops (visage, DFH etc.). Playing soul wars with 1500 other people, all of them running around aimlessly screaming "FALLZ FOR 0BBY RU$H!!!!" and watching the avatars health steadily deplete from suiciders running in with repemption on is not fun. Doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over again to amass your 8,300+ zeal, now thats grinding. But fighting a variety of monsters across all types of combat, with several others who happen to be doing the same thing as you for the same reason, that is fun. And you get to take breaks to go harvest and replant your herbs, thus reaping huge profits, or supercheap herblore xp. 200k herblore xp cost me 450k worth of seeds, not 8mil worth of avantoe :)
  10. If I'm right in thinking, it was based on the class that was picked for the character, which could possibly be related to only having the 9HP (Not sure if other classes yielded only 9HP too.) - you can see both the original poster and the other account mentioned, "ioveliest", have similar stats such as 2 Prayer and 2 Attack. You can't pick classes in runescape. To get a account with 9hp max, you had to start the account about 8 years ago. You had 9hp coming off tutorial island if you started playing rs during the RSC era. I think they changed this in 2003 before they released RS2 If you made your character after tutorial island was released, you already missed the 9 HP timeframe. :geek: Yeah, i was pretty sure that you got 10hp starting even when rsc was around. Couldnt remember what hp i started at tho, so i left it open that they changed it with rs2. Thanks for informing us :)
  11. one 9hp skiller is iloveliest. Shes at 1300+
  12. This happened in varrock center square Noob: (running up from varrock south gate) Where is south? Me: What?? Noob: Where is south? Me: Look on compass. Noob: The compass only shows north. (runs off south, back the way he came) And, I also had some noob lvl 92 call me a noob for trying to buy 200 watermelon from someone at the ge. Me: Buying 200 watermelon! Noob: Lol really? Me: I need for farming. Noob: A 125 buying watermelon wow Noob: Noob Noob: 1 shot to the face noob Noob: I will 1 shot u to ur face Me: ? Bystander#1: Dude, buying watermelon isn't a crime, shutup Noob: Reported Bystander#2: Lol wtf, a 92 calling a 125 a noob? Bystander#2: 125 isn't a noob in anyones book, stop being a idiot Me: It's ok guys, hes just being insecure. Me: It's a common reaction for stupid people. Noob: Reported Bystander#3: Dude, you are a jerk, stfu. Noob: Reported Bystander#3, 4, 5, 6: Reported Me: Buying 200 watermelons! <-- placed the noob on ignore at this point, with a report for offensive language :) Bystander#3 sells me 200 watermelons

  14. You can loot long bones from zombie imps, so you can effectively buy long bones by buying zombie impling jars
  15. There are always lots of rumors flying around about the highest ranked people in this game. Dont believe everything you hear. And guys, I was looking throught the hiscores, and I noticed that zezima gained a sum lvl  gertjaars better watch out!
  16. I'm glad to see that someone else actually knows how magic dart works. I've been telling people that since the spell came out, but no one believed me. I was beginning to think that maybe I was the only person who knew that. No one ever took me up on my offer to prove it tho -.- (both of us wear full torags, they use magic dart and I use hammers)
  17. This would likely make the biggest impact in terms of raw onyx accumulation. Lots of people have maybe 5-6 hours of Tzharr slayer tasks built up, but nowhere near the full amount to purchase an onyx. Allowing people to sell tokkul (at perhaps a 1 GP per tokkul) to other players would greatly improve the quantity being produced. Instead of 10 people getting 50% of the tokkul needed with 0 onyx produced, 5 people will buy onyx and 5 will get GP out of it. It's a win-win situation for everyone gathering the supplies. Implementing this would keep onyx "un-common" but much more feasible to obtain. Trading sticks is another currency in the game which is tradeable, so I see no issue in making tokkul tradeable. PS. Tokkul isn't just limited to slayers or monster hunters. Skillers can still sell ores to the shop for tokkul. One way to boost this would be to make a shop that buys other skilling items too, such as magic logs, or raw fish. Making Tokkul and adding in some shops skillers can sell to will boost this enough no other changes will need to be made. You can't sell anything to the tzhaar shops for tokkul. This is the update that made the onyx so expensive. Otherwise you could just sit there selling bolt tips or fire runes or whatever like you used to.
  18. Oops, double post. I just calculated the estimated time for 200m runecrafting making nats. A friend told me she gets 23k xp a grhaak, which lasts for 49 minutes. She's 98 runecrafting currently, so im inclined to believe her. To 200M runecrafting xp then, it would be 8,695 grhaaks, or 7,100 hours. Give or take a few. I'm not sure what the Ourania altar gives as far as xp per time, but for now, 1.5x faster then nats sounds pretty good. That would be 4,733 hours roughly. As a reference, there are about 8,760 hours in a year.
  19. Half if you count the number of skills. About maybe 15% of the way there if you figure the time tho. Runecrafting takes For......ev........er......... That skill came out 6 years ago and no one has maxed yet. Larryr basically crafted runes since it came out, and he stopped a year or 2 ago. Thats about 5 solid years of rcing, for a measly 157m runecrafting xp. Lol, but i think that might take as much time as all the other skills put together.
  20. What!!! We aren't platinum?? Well who ever thought jagex would get something right the first time around <_< This site is the first site I think about for anything runescape related. I've pretty much read the entire site by now. And the archive of wisdom, and just about any guide i can find in the forums for anything. Maybe we should all head on over to the RSOF Jagex Lite section and politely request they rethink their ranking of tip.it :D
  21. yeah dude, thats like the worst thing you can get at corp, makes the whole trip a waste of money :P
  22. I collected about 1.7k crimson charms at waterfiends the week before the double xp weekend. I found this setup to be extremely effective. Full slayer helm (not on task, but it still gives +10 mage defense and good range def) Fury (awesome!) Karil's Top Karils Skirt Dragon boots Obsidian cape (I'm a noob yes, but now I have sw cape, so its all good) Seer's ring (For the +4 mage def, Archer ring is a good choice also. If you happen to have onyx ring (i) use that of course) Barrows gloves (Dragon also work, but I would consider regen instead of dragon gloves) Weapon: Zamorakian spear (you cant beat it for waterfiends, it has the speed, the power, and gives a slight defense bonus) Inventory: Enhanced excaliber 1 super attac 1 super strength 1 super defence 2 bunyip pouches 100 swallow whole scrolls dramen or lunar staff Fill up rest with monkfish Strategy: You should bank at zanaris, and get all set up. Then, go to the fairy ring, and on your way, summon a bunyip and recharge your sum points. This allows you to summon the 2nd bunyip inside the cave. Tele into the cavern using the code BJQ (you must have fixed the fairy ring already, more on this later). Change your attack mode to crush (wielding the dramen staff changes it to stab every time), drink one dose of super set, and begin smashing waterfiends up. If you are planning to afk, then you should head to the left once you tele into the cavern and kill those waterfiends. If you get pulled to far up towards the brutal greens, they just use their ranged firebreath to destroy you. Kill the waterfiends and make sure to watch for the raw fish. You get 3-6 raw shark sometimes, and 6-12 raw lobsters sometimes. All you have to do is cast your bunyip special move, and click on the raw fish to eat it. Once you lose about 25-30 hp (250-300 lp, but i will never change!!!!) use Enhanced excaliber to heal up. I try to use this whenever I happen to get special attack again. I was able to get between 80 and 100 crimson charms per 2 bunyips doing this, and normally my trip length was limited by the bunyips running out, not by running out of food. If you get a raw shark drop right away, then i suggest dropping the monkfish and picking up the raw sharks. You might get a chance to pick some monkfish up later, and even if you dont, the other people in there appreciate the free food. Drops to take: Mith arrows (i got about 17k mith arrows, so about 1k every 2 bunyips) Water orbs (decent xp from green charms making hydras, and in general just worth it) Crimson charms (obviously) Blood runes (only if you have inventory space) Death runes (same as above) Water runes (when u have inventory space) snape grass (i got about 800 or so from them, its usuful for making pots without having to collect it) You start with one inventory space open from summoning the first bunyip, and into this goes your crimson charms. You can put mith arrows into your ammo slot. Nothing else is worth eating or dropping food to take it, so take only when you have room. Fixing the Fairy ring: Its relatively simple, just take 5 regular mushrooms (examine: a bittercap mushroom), a spade, a lunar staff, an antidragonbreath shield, some food, and some armor. Use the mushrooms on the fairy ring and use your lunar staff to teleport out. The fairy ring is all the way back into the cavern, in the middle of the main area of waterfiends and just a few steps from the stairs to kuradel. Again, the code is BJQ. Have fun collecting charms! :)
  23. Umm, guys hes not renewing his membership, so that rules out any sort of members item investing. To the OP: You unfortunately dont have enough for a "rare" item, so perhaps you could try a set of "god" rune armor. Saradomin, guthix, and zamorak rune seem to have a generaly slight upward trend. Thats about the only thing i can think of.
  24. Lol i was about to ask this very question :) thanks for saving me the trouble. Kinda disappointing answer, altho i guess the wyvern breath technically is "fire"breath, seeing as it freezes u and all.
  25. Dude you are asking on a RS forum how to cheat the game? Makes no sense and if you do try to transfer gold from one acc to another I hope you get caught and banned. Sorry you got your account hacked but it's simply no excuse to break the in-game-rules. Besides everyone knows being hacked is 100% your own fault: either your pc got infected with a keylogger or trojan horse OR someone saw your password or knew the answers to your secret questions... I will report this topic as it's against the rules... Hahaha gotta love wbms. To the op. You may like your cash, but transfering it to yourself is difficult and also technically breaking the rules. There are a few things I might do if I were in your situation. First of all, you could outfit your house with all the different armors. Such as Saradomin, Zamorak, Guthix, Rune (g) and (t). Another way would to buy an expensive skill up. Say, summoning, or prayer, or herblore. Something that will give you an edge in making money when your account is secure again. I personally think that summoning and prayer pay for themselves over time. Then, set a bank pin and make yourself a amazing new password of like 20 characters with letters and numbers. Text it to youself and lock the text so u dont lose it and can always find it. Then take all steps jagex allows to make your accout secure. Give truthful answers to the recovery questions, and set an email address to your account. Hopefully everything will work out for the better. I would report the wbm, but it seems kind of pointless. Perhaps a mod can just ban him from these forums so we dont have to listen to him.
