  1. Normal dragon fire attacks are still blocked with mage pray and the antifire potion. That would be their close range breath. Anti-fire pots do reduce damage you take from the ranged breath of metal dragons, but from what I have experienced, the ranged version disregards prayer completely and you can only negate it with anti-dragonbreath shield and anti-fire pot. Or super anti-fire if you are high enough herblore.
  2. ^^ one of the people that sits at green drags all day right here. Doesnt even know that stealing an iron dragon is almost impossible and not even a bother anyway cause there are like 20 to pick from. And if a maxed melee with 92 slayer doesnt know that, i would have to assume that he bought his account.
  3. Thanks for the answers guys :) I had been confused on that for a while, and no one knew that i asked. :D
  4. now here is an idea that i think it decent, still i love to see all the level 93 slayers who cant manage to get a fire cape XD its kinda sad tbh seeing as he has been killed in 6 seconds w/o pray switching Its also possible to solo the corp and how many people actually do that? And i'm 94 slay with almost max stats besides pray. And it is imposible for me to kill jad. Its not that i'm lazy or don't like fight caves, Its actually my second favorite minigame, it is literally impossible for me to kill him. The reson why is because of my internet conncection. The only, ONLY, conection that i can get out here is satalite and because of that there is a time delay from when i see or hear his attack to when i switch prayers. Because of that no matter what i do it is impossible for me to actually protect against one of his attacks unless it is through sheer dumb luck that i pick the right prayer. Having an item as a requirement that is impossible for some people to get simply because of where they live is a dumb idea. Like others have said you could have an enchanted fire tiara, like the enchanted water tiara, that uses runes to protect against ice ( might even be usable for ancient spells or wyverns but thats another topic), fire gloves, ring of fire, heck even an adze could be used, or simply a dumbed down version of the fire cape that degrades and can only be bought with tokuul so that it still introduces people to the fight caves. What i would personally like to see happen is have an area efect in the icewyrm caverns similair to the desert or the snow areas near gwd that does minor damage and reduces a random stat slowly over time. a fire cape would nullify that effect and make it easier to kill them but slayers who have not gotten it could still kill them but require more work. as a solution to getting yourself a fire cape, i would suggest meleeing jad. If you are maxed stats, you might be able to get yourself one in uder a few seconds. I believe that Woox16, the first person to solo corp beast, is currently the record holder for killing jad, at under 6 seconds. You might try that if you are close to maxed melee. From 94 slayer, you probably have made a large amount of cash, so i would assume that you have bandos or something. From what i saw in the video, it looks kind of luck based, but also not too difficult if you can get to jad. Strategy: Wait for jad where you normally would at italy rock, trap him where he cannot attack you on other side of the rock. Cast vengence. Wait till you are able to cast vengance again. Extreme set, or overload if you can. Pray turmoil and either soul split or protect melee (soul split would be best). Sprint to jad and claw him, when attack hits you, cast vengance again and use your second claw spec. Swap to whip and rune defender, attack normally. God willing, you will have done huge damage with the claw specs, and in the video woox16 does a total of 1 damage with his whip. Veng and claws did rest, and healers never even reached jad. Its risky, but you dont really have to prayer swap. If you miniclip when you claw spec, using humidify or something, you might even leave yourself time to click spec again b4 switching to mage window for your 2nd veng. I think that jagex only added the firecape requirement to the ice strykewryms because kuradel gives Jad tasks, and thus to kill the best task you can get from kuradel, you would have to have finished her hardest task. Loved the update tho :) I might have to go try for firecape again.
  5. bestiary entry is missing the loop half of the key. I got one doing them.
  6. Kre uses all three attack types. Should be Ranged, Mage and Melee. Ok, thanks for the comfirmation  Hopefully it gets changed Kree'ara only uses melee when you are soloing, if there is more then one person in room, then kree doesn't use melee, at all. probably why this is the case.

  9. Hey guys, Unfortunately, I do not have 96 herblore, and neither does anyone I know. Does anyone know if you can brew out of the boost an overload gives you? I can't seem to find it in any guide or anything. Thanks :)
  10. Well, i hate skipping tasks so I never advise that. I mean no offense, but i would not expect you to be rich enough to buy the most expensive gear. Here is a list of affordable gear that you could take. Farseer Helm Mystic robe top Mystic robe bottom Amulet of Glory Chaos Gauntlets (family crest quest) Mystic boots Antidragonfire Shield Air Staff (or fire staff, but fire runes are dirt cheap compared to airs) Ring of wealth, or seers ring if you have some spare cash and want to speed up kills.
  11. The first Article made a point, it seems that jagex is sending mixed messages about RWT. For people who think that RWT and micro-transactions are totally different, you are wrong. Micro-transactios are actually RWT(Real World Trading) but you buy from the company. Actually, the only difference is your money ends up in the company's pockets, not another person's pockets who is farming gold from the game to sell. Well and the other difference of spelling........................... You can buy a rolex off the streets from a guy in a trench coat, or you can buy it from a licensed dealer. Either way, you get the rolex and somebody gets the money. I will quit runescape the day jagex adds micro-transactions to the game.
  12. I was fighting metal dragons a while back and i was using bgs special on them to lower defense. I noticed that with a regular antifire potion and mage prayer, I still took damage from dragonbreath. The same happened with range prayer and antifire pot. I think their "ranged" breath actually falls under the catagory of dragonfire because it did not appear that you could protect against it with prayer. I may be wrong, but i will go back tonight and test it out again. Perhaps a few others could also to verify what I experienced.
  13. others have solo'd it too recently. this guide said that you need at least 4 people to kill it, but even at lvl 120 with only 2 others I was able to trio it easily with welfare gear. this was several months ago so it would have applied to when this topic was made. I would suggest pineapple pizzas as a good food to use as well. you can heal rapidly with them even though you only eat half at a time, you can heal much faster with no delay. but for every slice you eat it pauses your next combat move. so eating 5 times in a row can cause you to wait a while before you can attack, but it is worth staying alive. I was just mentioning that it was possible to solo and giving the example of the person who showed everyone that soloing it was possible. I did not know that you could do that with pineapple pizzas, im gonna use that now :)
  14. I was just wondering what programming language your calculators are written in. I would like to see a summoning calculator like the special calc for runecrafting. I can program in c++ and some c# but idk if your calcs are written in something else. Just wondering, I might start making my own
  15. I liked the Cooking article. I personally like the rocktail, but I would like to see more high end food. I also agree with the Pmod article. I have been wanting to become a P mod for years personally, but this stopped a few months ago when my friends started getting muted for no reason. Oh well, 6 years of ambition and now the moderators are being corrupted.
  16. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but the corp has been soloed. The player who soloed it is Woox16. He has soloed it more then 170 times and has gotten an arcane sigil so far. For your setup FFA setup, i would advise putting Karils in there also. Anyone who can solo is probably able to obtain the drop at least some of the time in FFA. Also, Veng is very useful. Great guide! 9/10
  17. Interestingly enough, Lorica is untrimmed summoning cape, Slayerbelle is first untrimmed slayer cape, Ellebreyals is 10hp with 99 slayer, and Villandra is a maxed account. And they are all the same person.
  18. yeah I could dig that 8-) I could go for that lol. But I am personally waiting the advent of the Dragon Crossbow with great anticipation. And I don't really care about looks, or special attack. I just want something with a lil more kick then the rune c bow to help me range those pesky metal drags.
  19. I would have to say that only if you are raising one or 2 levels would the 10% more per 100 be better. Since AzureRage was going up so many levels with the zeal, the amount of extra experience he got for being a higher level would have been far greater then the extra 10%. Doing the math would be a bit long, but 10 at a time would be better for lower levels. I will see if I can figure the point at which spending 100 at once becomes the best option.
  20. The fairy ring code D J Q is listed under the dud codes. It goes to the southern part of the ancient cavern, right in the middle of the waterfiends.
  21. Maybe add a p2p 2000+ world would work, but really? all of a sudden you are limiting that world to the top 20k players. Thats no where close to percentage of f2p people who can get into the 1000+ world.
  22. For me, my most respected capes are in this order: Herblore - easily the most expensive skill to buy. Runecrafting - takes forever and a year Summoning - costs so much money and time Prayer - very expensive and time consuming, thanks be to jagex for making the bone grinder auto. Mining - I just hate this skill with a passion. I cannot stand mining. Smithing - Takes way to long, costs money mostly. If you got your 99 smith from cannonballs, you have my respect for being able to stay logged in. And the 2 that I like the least also happen to be the one's I will probably get first. Cooking - Sit in rouge's den for a month. Fun times. 3mil loss Fletching - Stand at any bank chest for a couple of weeks, make money, not that hard.
  23. fletching you gain money, cooking cost a couple mil loss, firemaking from level 81 to 99 is 12mil not that much really i would really like to see you buy herblore and cons cons easily breaks 50m and herblore is very diffcult to get the herbs and selling them Just a thought, but i was calculating the cost of herblor earlier today, and it costs about 200mil to attain 99 in that skill with any sort of speed.
  24. In the regular magic guide, in the spell list showing all the spells, the spell stun is in there twice.
