Not surprised about Philly at all. I am, however, shocked about Phoenix and L.A. I would have never guessed either of them would make it to the conference finals, let alone both of them. Should actually make a good series. Also hoping that New York can close out the series tomorrow. New York/New Jersey would be pretty interesting also.

Is there a God?
Conveniently, that philosophy was held by Blaise Pascal (a Catholic). Theists refer to that as Pascal's Wager. The problem with that, though, is that any monotheistic religion could be correct and you may have picked the wrong one.

I've been shocked by every series this round except NYR/Wash so far... Can't believe Phoenix scored that many goals on Rinne last game.

With San Jose and Chicago out, all is right with the hockey world. Cheering for Original Six and Central Division teams for the time being. Great call about Phoenix, obfuscator .

If you had the change to do it over again....
I would still play RuneScape if I had the chance to go back and choose again. This was actually a topic of one of my old articles where I wrote about how RuneScape has been beneficial for me. Other than that, it's a fun time-killer.

Sharks are out . Also glad to see my conspiracy theory about the Pens was totally wrong. Congrats to Philly on earning that huge win today. In non-NHL news, one of my old middle school buddies just won a gold medal with the U18 USA hockey team. He's supposed to be taken in the third or fourth round of the 2012 NHL draft.

I highly doubt he'll retire after this season. I'm pretty sure he would like to beat the Leafs at the Big House next year .

Congrats to the Predators. Obviously disappointing for Detroit, but Nashville proved themselves to be the superior team. Really sucks to be the first team to be eliminated, though. Good luck to them through the rest of the playoffs, not that Rinne really needs it. Now to root for the Blues and 'Yotes the rest of this round...

No need to hate to break it to me - I really hope that you're right. I've always found the NHL to be a no-BS kind of sports organization. It really sticks out among the rest, you know? I'd really hate to see anything suspicious going on. I just find it so hard to believe that a goalie who was in the all-star game (and a starter iirc) last year has easily given up so many goals this series.

Is the league perhaps trying to make hockey reach a wider audience in the U.S.? Call me crazy, but I think there's something fishy going on with this series... So it starts out with a pathetic looking line brawl between the two teams right before the playoffs began. Then there's the "Battle of Pennsylvania" being pushed onto us by every outlet of sports related news. Next there was the constant fighting between the two teams with players being thrown out left and right. Even Crosby has started two fights when he normally is too afraid to fight... Next thing we know, the favorite to win the Stanley Cup is down by 3 games. Now we have the most goals scored in the first 4 playoff games EVER and the Penguins have 10 goals in a single game. If the Penguins win by 8, both teams are tied for goals scored. The only way this could become more dramatic would be if the Penguins became the 4th team to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the series. If that happens, I believe my suspicion is completely reasonable.

No excuses tonight. The only mistake made by the refs against Detroit was missing a Nashville defensemen's hand in their crease to grab the puck and not giving a penalty shot. Literally every other call went Detroit's way and we still could only manage 1 goal. Rinne is a beast. Edit: Never liked Hossa, but no one deserves that. I hope he's alright :ohnoes:.

Wow, Thomas with 29 saves and Chara with 2 assists and a goal. With the Pens (most likely) out of the picture, a repeat is a very real possibility. Still hoping for a Boston/Philly series again . Also, these made me laugh:

Yeah that was one of the best games I've ever seen. Philadelphia sure knows how to put on a show.

Confirming - Abyssal Demon Drop
I think that's from the rare drop table, so technically any monster that has drops from the table can drop 10 palm seeds.

Refs have been sub-par this series, but Rinne was definitely on fire today.

Actually they reviewed the play in Toronto and you're right about the shot. I was thinking it was like basketball and soccer where if you shoot it before time expires, it still counts. Still should be 1-1, though.

Suter pushes one of our guys into Rinne and we get a penalty that leads to Weber's goal. Later on, we score with .1 seconds left and they claim time expired. Send these refs to the finals!

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Once again, there are no good candidates. There are some characteristics that I like in both Romney and Obama, but I couldn't disagree with them more on most issues. I think Obama and Romney agree on more issues than I agree with either of them individually. TBH, this Futurama sketch describes Obama vs. Romney perfectly: My main concern is that if Obama wins this election and he screws up big somehow, Santorum would probably be elected president in 2016, which is a very scary thought. I think I'd rather have Romney for 4 or 8 years and maybe screw up to ensure there is no chance of Santorum becoming president. I hate the two party system and "strategic voting" so much <_<. I really like the instant-runoff voting system from the UK and wish we had that instead of this BS we have now.

I was glad to see the Wings tie up the series tonight, but the refs were still terrible for both teams. At least the refs let a few hits on Weber slide after that little stunt he pulled in game 1. Also, seeing Weber make the mistake that led to Emmerton's goal was very satisfying .

Promethium Pickaxe and Hatchet
I'll pay 250k for someone with a high enough mining and smithing level to make a promethium pickaxe and hatchet for both me and my brother (so 4 ores/bars total). My private chat will be on, so PM me or post here if you're interested in helping us out. EDIT: Someone PM'd me and is helping us out now.

Unbelievable comeback by Philly. I thought Pittsburgh had the game won after the 1st. As for the Wings/Preds game, the refs were horrible. They weren't one-sided, but they were calling penalties for the most frivolous things. There's no way the two least penalized teams in the NHL acquire that many penalties. I saw maybe 3 legit calls against Detroit and 2 against Nashville. The rest were terrible calls. Officiating aside, Nashville played a hell of an impressive game. I think they're the real deal this year.

Tip.It Times - 8th April 2012
How far do you think Jagex (or the investors) will actually take this, though? It's going to take a lot for them to release an update that can get much worse than this. They'd have to release full blown micro-transactions where you buy a blue phat for $1k or something ridiculous like that. Come to think of it, what if there were product placement in RuneScape? That would be pretty horrible playing an advertisement. I can see it now... so, did we all forget about the googles, or did i just make that up in my head right now "stop resisting, you'll LOVE being a corporate zombie" I won't get into semantics, but I don't really consider that product placement. The way I see it, Jagex wanted to make less customer service work for themselves by attempting to get players away from Internet Explorer. When their choice for an incentive was between a pair of Goggles or a Pet Fox, they probably went with the one that that took less effort to make. Did Google offer Jagex some sort of incentive? Perhaps, perhaps. In the long run, though, I don't think I've seen anyone wear those in months. So, if it's product placement, it's very ineffective. If not, Jagex is just lazy.
