  2. Falcon punch? :P Well, the only fail I can see is the person maging with an untrimmed Fletching cape, desert robes (lol) and neitiznot helm. And maybe my low HP, but I had Rapid Heal on so it was recovering :P

    Duradel just gave me 172 waterfiends as my slayer task. My melee stats are kind of crappy (level 79 in all 3 melee stats). Am I better of ranging them (level 98) or meleeing them?

  8. I am going crazy. The first 3 rows are easy to do, but I'm going crazy over the bottom two! I can't solve them! I am trying to get the 4 boxes on the left in the right position but I can't! Help! :(
  9. Hmm... yeah Magic uses up a lot of runes but we get great XP in return too. Which is why I want to start a little experiment. Let's say a player gets abyssal demons as a task. How much XP would a Meleer get in one hour, if he uses an abyssal whip and defender, overloads and Turmoil. Try to give an as much accurate answer as possible. We then have to divide that by three, because Melee exists out of 3 combat skills. Next, how much cash is being spend on prayer potions for Turmoil and overloads? Then we should calculate how much Magic XP a Mage, wearing battle robes, a Staff of Light, arcane stream necklace and Fire Surge, can get in one hour maging abyssal demons. And then we have to factor in the cost of all the runes being used which then needs to be divided by 65% because of the battle robes and SoL. We also have to factor in the cost of overloads aswell. Since there aren't really any useful prayers for Magic for PvM we don't have factor in prayer potions. If somebody can find out these kind of things we could figure out the gp/xp for both Melee and Magic.

  11. Nooooo... the triangle is still unbalanced... mainly talking about PvM.
  12. Yes, the effect if you combine a Staff of Light with battle robes is 50%. But on top of that, any time the staff does not save your runes, the robes themselves will still have their usual chance of saving you any mind, chaos, death or blood runes making the rune saving ability 65%. But there are still problems in PvM... we can't combine a hexcrest or full slayer helm with battle robes. The set effect only lasts for 6000 casts before it needs recharging while ava's accumulator doesn't need to be recharged. And magic potions need a change in my opinion. It only boosts our level by 5 levels so we have to repot almost every minute to maintain a good hit. And most bosses have a ridiculous high magic defence. And we spend so many inventory spaces for runes. A good solution for these issues would be if we could combine a battle robe hood with a hexcrest or full slayer helm. Or change the way the set effect works. Make the rune saving ability 50% instead of 65% if we don't wear a battle robe hood. This way, we'll have a max hit that is on par with Melee and still be cost efficient on most slayer tasks. The robes could have a permanent effect but will require a higher amount of tokens to be purchased. Or make them last longer before they need recharging. Normal magic potions should boost your Magic level by 15 levels with a 1% increase on your max hit for every boosted level. You still won't be able to cast higher levelled spells that aren't within 5 levels of your Magic level. Or they could remove that ability completely. Extreme magic potions and Wolpertingers boost your level by 17 levels. This way we won't have to repot all the time. And finally, release a pouch (possibly from Dungeoneering) that can store your runes. It can be equipped in the ammo slot.

  14. I wouldn't call it overpowered though. Powerful? Yes? Overpowered? Not so much. I'd say in terms of damage it's balanced. But not in terms of cost.

  16. Third try. I hid behind a pillar too long on my first 2 tries - I forgot I had to stand closer to him when he went into berserker mode causing him to heal back up. As you can see I had plenty of brews and super restores left.
  17. I also have an arcane stream necklace. I did some hybriding with a friend today and I was hybriding with magic and range and I was hitting much more often and harder with magic. Range is good, but magic is better. But the arcane necklaces have a ridiculous low death value. I wouldn't risk mine in dangerous PvP. I hate melee. They rely on lucky specials too much.

  20. Funny, its a guide, not a blog. If you want to debate again, there is a forum for that, but this isn't it. But you are saying it is (or was) useful in pvp... Magic's only flaw is its lack of consistent KO-power. Other than that, magic will consistently win every fight. The duel arena's the best place to use it I like this video more actually. Taco Limey tends to end his fights with some lucky DDS hits most of the times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HWQfea1iyM This is some real Magic killing :D Don't bother asking, Warrior has quit this game and forum a while ago.
