I finally made it to sector 8 and beat the first stage of the rebel flagship, but then it made a beeline for the base (or whatever it is you're protecting) faster than I could catch it. Any advice on how to keep it engaged? Btw - the second Zoltan ship design is awesome (and not all that difficult to unlock). The ion guns and the beam weapon make the first few sectors a cakewalk, but it definitely needs multi-shot weaps to get through the higher level shields in the later sectors.

Curse you, Rach! As if RS wasn't addicting enough, you had to introduce me to this. :P So far, I haven't been able to make it past the first couple of jumps into sector six. The first time, I got boarded by 4 Mantis who utterly destroyed my crew and the second time I was in the Slug nebula and couldn't see half the ship so I fell way behind on putting out fires and everyone pretty much burned to death. I've read lots of tips that I should be getting all kinds of extra crew members, but I don't know how these people are doing it. I'm lingering in sectors, checking out every ship location I can and doing every side quest I come across, and still only have 4 crew when I enter sector 6. At least I unlocked a Zoltan ship, so I have something new to try. |^_^|

I wish. Unfortunately, I've been feeling worse all day. :( I'm glad tomorrow is a holiday so I have another day to rest and try to get better. On the up side, I was able to get to 85 Smithing today! [spoiler=83 Smithing] [spoiler=84 Smithing] [spoiler=85 Smithing] Steel ingot III is wicked fast, and I've still got a whole boatload of coal and iron left over to do with as I will. Now I'm going to buy Runite ore 1-2k at a time and start making some serious superheating profit! :grin: But first, it's off to bed wrapped snugly in the warm syrupy embrace of Mr. NyQuil. -_-

It is possible to see when people like your posts. I'll like yours and you should be able to see it.

Do you suppose that the previous season you watched when you were younger was full of fluff, or is it because now that you're older, you can see past the externals of the current season into the more subtle and finer points of the show? It's possible but in my opinion, and as Vezon said, G1 MLP (yes, I'm that old) was absolutely awful. If the current show had been on then, I totally would have watched it.

I actually like the new MLP. I've watched it a couple of times while babysitting my friend's daughter (not that I had a choice at first, you don't mess with a 4 year old girl's ponies :lol:), and it's so much better than the pointless fluff that it was when I was growing up. Not that I'd go all crazy over it like these people do. That's reserved for Firefly and any other Joss Whedon goodness. ;)

I made my choice. I did the whole being-paitent-while-grinding-through-level-after-level-of-tedious-and-repetitive-clicking thing while training Mining, so I've started using the Artisan's Workshop to get to 85 Smithing as fast as possible. I've made enough steel bars to make back what I spent on coal, so I'm just burning through the piles of ores sitting in my bank by using Steel Ingot III. The xp is incredible, and shortly after crossing the 25,000,000 total xp mark, I got two new levels! \:D/ [hide=81 Smithing] [/hide] [hide=82 Smithing] [/hide] I also did some calculating and figure that I'll still have almost 2/3 of the ores I started with once I get to 85, so that will be a whole lot of coal for making Runite bars. :grin: I'm getting pretty good at making ceremonial swords as well. My last couple have been 97% and 98% and each got me a cut diamond! Hopefully, I can get to at least 83 Smith tonight but I'm coming down with something and have been feeling pretty crappy all day so I may just go to bed early. I guess we'll see what the rest of day brings.

Gah! I hate when that happens. Fortunately, the last time it happened to me I was able to get them to remove the lock on the card and I just had to go to the ATM at the bank and make a new PIN for it. Congrats on the level ups! That's a mighty impressive Crafting level you got there. :thumbsup: Now that you're at 90, you should go talk to Dororan (I assume you've done the Gunnar's Ground quest) for the last crafting job and an easy 20k xp.

The launcher crashes on me intermittently as well. That's why I tend not to use it anymore.

Look at Sy the Historian go! :thumbsup: I'd honestly forgotten that the QBD was always kept underground. As for the Riders being a possible Dragonkin, that had not even occurred to me. Just like a human to assume they would be too. :lol: Somehow, that makes them even cooler. Dragonkin riding giant dragons laying waste to their enemies in a torrent of flame and magic sounds awesome! :D

He was Elvarg painted flat black and 2 extra heads were duct-taped on. Then I'm right to be excited. :grin: This was a long overdue graphical update. Last November was a sad month indeed. :(

Dragon riders are almost a staple in the world of fantasy fiction (Anne McCaffrey anyone?). Or maybe it's just in my fantasy fiction world. :P Given the size and aggressive nature of the dragons in RS, perhaps the Riders are a legendary cavalry unit that once hunted the dragons and drove the larger of them (QBD, KBD) underground in order to survive. I have to admit, I'm rather excited about this as well.

Hot damn! The new KBD looks awesome! :thumbsup: Of course, I didn't really know what he looked like before but I do love me some dragons.

Hopefully they're planning on adding more than just boots and gloves. I'd love to see an entire outfit.

The solution appears to be registering an email account through account services. Then when you log into the game it gives you a "I'm not ready" option so you don't have to activate the trial.

Apparently that just logs you out from that screen. I'm talking with someone in-game about it right now.
