  1. The reason you can't do these things is because too many people are jerks! It's why I avoid the wildy most all of the time; not because of legit PKers, but because of people who want to kill you just to be annoying. Although I'm one of the top 3000 thieves, I would also be really frustrated if other players could steal from me. Maybe that could be added to the wildy, thieving for others, but that's as far as I'll go. lpinkus
  2. Sorry, had to follow up with this. I saw another lvl 62 or so with a granite maul in Ardougne. He attacked a paladin, and the paladin was owning him and the guy had to run :) lpinkus
  3. I don't think it's a bad idea, but I don't think JAGeX would do this. They make skills like magic and herblore hard to raise for a reason. If it did happen, it would have to be counterbalanced to the way magic is now. lpinkus
  4. Sounds like we got a wine snob on our hands :) I kid you, I'm a beer snob :) Seriously, I don't think we should be drinking wine for "healing," anyways. When you do that in real life, it's often called "alcoholism." lpinkus
  5. Well, if we want to be logical about it... Eating has that tiny lag, which makes sense due to picking up the food, chewing, swallowing, etc. Praying is similar; you have to fold your hands, genuflect, kowtow, etc. Besides, you should be thankful that you even get to play RS :) lpinkus
  6. I don't care for ships, either. It seems like it would have to be a huge update, and the sailors at port sarim, brimhaven, etc. would go on strike :) lpinkus
  7. I think the line in your sig should be censored, but I guess that's another story. Seriously, it could offend a lot of people. lpinkus
  8. That's a bit too long, I think. With that much time you could actually re-type what you said. I bid 10 seconds :) lpinkus
  9. Wow, time for me to start stealing bones :) I think the idea about the xp varying based upon where buried is clever. That would seem logical for JAGeX; make you trek a bit to get somewhere important. lpinkus
  10. Agreed. As a non-PKer who dislikes rares and how they are merchanted, I find it amazing that people want to wear a phat everywhere just to show...they have one? I still have no idea what that's about. Personally, I play RS to blow off some steam, build up some skills, not to impress the 15 yr. olds around me :) As I alched yesterday, a lvl 62 was just standing next to the Draynor bank for 20 minutes, wielding a granite maul. I finally told him, "go do something already." Yes, you can still gain xp after buying a granite maul. lpinkus
  11. I agree, I think. Greedy people already charge outrageous prices, and I don't think having some sort of coalition would change the price. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to be another plan to lower defunct item (phats, ets.) prices. The answer to this problem, like I always post, is to make defunct items untradeable, or, to get rid of them altogether. Any new item, say, a dragon med, is very expensive at first because it's difficult to obtain. Players may charge a lot, maybe too much for one, but they did the work to get it so it's their right. Besides, a drop in that price is inevitable, and helps balance the merchants' power. That item is also useful, and, more importantly, is in unlimited quantity. Defunct items are just the opposite-they are useless, and in limited quantity. Merchanting them simply isn't in the spirit of the game. Thanks for your idea. lpinkus
  12. Eh, I think chisels are fine as is. lpinkus
  13. Remember the digsite quest? And the Fremmy trials? Both involved making some sort of explosive. I wouldn't want it to be called a grenade, but I could see this happening. lpinkus
  14. I'm guessing this topic may get locked, but your inventory is already a "backpack," take a look at the icon. If you're suggesting that we should have more than 28 inv. slots, that's another story. lpinkus
  15. They've sent me personal responses, like when I've requested certain words be banned. So they do read the messages. lpinkus
  16. The battle continues...heh. I do care about phats. I don't want one, but I want them untradeable because I feel it's unfair for merchants get rich selling them. Again, if one is getting rich selling whips, more power to you. What JAGeX can't prevent is someone wanting a phat, saving, and wasting money on it. However, they can prevent the merchanting by making them untradeable. lpinkus
  17. I agree, and I've said many times what they can do...make them untradeable. End of story. lpinkus
  18. I expected that, so you'll have to take my word for this-I want a phat about as much as I want typhoid, and I'd probably choose typhoid first. Say it's sour grapes, but it just ain't gonna deter me; I think rares should be untradeable, and I post about it twice or thrice a day :) That's my opinion, Thanks for yours. lpinkus
  19. I hear you, and that's why I don't think the rares should be "priced" at all but made them untradeable. That way, long-time players such as yourself can keep them, and other people can actaully start merchating useful items. lpinkus
  20. I would loooove to know what this means, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my topic. However, I bake pie in real life all the time, so if you were trying to insult me, too bad. All it did was raise my real-life cooking level. :) lpinkus
  21. Um, because swinging a pickaxe requires muscle, but swinging a sword at an enemy is not swinging a pickaxe at a rock. Again, this is not an idea I want implemented. I posted to start a discussion. I didn't realize there were miners who didn't want to raise their attack level, actually. So I did learn something! lpinkus
  22. Lol, personifying an computer image of a hat. Really, I have no problem with you owning a hat since you've been playing for so long. I am against the merchating of hats and other rares. That's why I'd dump all the hats into the River Salve :) Then people would have to really earn their gp. By the way, I have no problem with people merchanting a useful item, such as an abyssal whip. Those items are also not finite in quantity. lpinkus
  23. I feel really sorry for everyone who saves up and buys a phat, thereby... a) wasting their money on a statless item instead of buying a dragon/mystic items AND B) making hoarding merchats rich. Phats should be untradeable. lpinkus
  24. I agree, and I especially agree with not making fun of what one doesn't understand. It doesn't matter what you do; if you work hard and do it with class and grace, you deserve as much respect as anyone else. lpinkus
  25. Mmmmm....solid gold coins. :) Hey, I thought there was chocolate inside! lpinkus
