200M in all Skills
Typically with new skills, you cannot use experience lamps on the skill until like a month after release. So the penguin points would help a little I suppose, but he'd be high into the 80 or 90s before he could even use them, if not 99 :P

200M in all Skills
despite the fact that going for trimmed comp after 200m all is a big xp waste. range xp from killing chompies any combat xp earnt in cw quite a bit of xp earned in livid farm xp rewards from quests xp rewards from finishing task sets xp earned unlocking mage arena spells etcetc Who cares. This :P One thing I'm sure that will be mentioned is his playing time when he gets 5b and by not doing these things he keeps it a bit lower. If other people start going for 5b then the challenge might be the get the lowest playing time at 5b. Not to mention the experience from all those tasks isn't amazing, at that point its something to do as he will clearly be out of skilling to do.

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Seems you always catch my typos, this is what happens when I post at 1am, that would be 30mil defence, but I also got 32mil slayer as well :P. T1 COTS wasn't too impressive, I honestly expected a bit more. I plan to take it to barbarian fishing today to see if I noticed anything there. Sadly I only have the first tacklebox so not much use out of it yet. Planning to start fish flingers each day now though, actually think I have 10 or 15 tickets saved up atm rofl. Just have to force myself to add it to my dailies.

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Was nice to be back to slayer today, managed about 250k experience before going to test out rocktails with t1 call of the sea aura. Here is my new task list I started with this go at slayer: The experience is roughly what is on my counter and figured it would be interesting to see the specific experience for each task. After that I went to rocktails. I plan to afk these during my semester at college, much like I did ivy so wanted to see how they worked out. Seems so go so far. Here is 30M defence which I reached today as well:

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Thank you :P 50M thieving finally done for my 10th 50M!! :D Here is my total loot from about 30M experience at dwarf traders: Along with this I also got about 3.5M in gp. It actually sold for: This gave me a total of about 24M gp in 30M exp, not too bad. For my next 50M I'll be headed back to slayer to finish it off before EOC. That way its done incase I don't like it and if I do enjoy EOC then there is always 200M slayer one day. Along with slayer I will also be working on farming and fishing for my triplet of skills. I'll reset my experience counters as well. Here is what they looked like right before: I'll reset my slayer counter too, so I can keep my new slayer task and exp counter synced. ^_^

200M in all Skills
I don't get it either o.O. Sounds like an elaborate story imo and not sure how this would even be gossip as nothing really interesting happened.

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Been a strange week that I planned to nolife, but random problems irl have kept me away from Runescape. I think things are finally done though so back to nolifing today :P. Last night I easily got 45M thieving experience and plan to get 50M tomorrow: Also updated my opening post and well over 100M experience since the start of this blog, here is how my gains have stacked up:

Black Ibis
I saw that rate on wiki and cannot say I believe it :P, seems way to high compared to what I've seen from other people. Thank you though for the information, really happy to hear I don't have to worry about other loot hiding Ibis.

Black Ibis
To start, I'm on the hunt for Black Ibis. I have 99 thieving already and I'm nearly 45Mil thieving. The catch is I have a pretty big hatred for pyramid plunder so this hunt has been quite annoying. Most of my thieving experience has actually come from dwarf traders, where ibis is actually somewhat useful. I want Ibis because I'm a bit of a sucker for costumes and generally like to have any skilling item set when doing skills (lumberjack, constructors, etc). I have a few questions about gathering Black Ibis: When looting urns, do you get a piece of Black Ibis plus whatever else would normally be in the urn (golden statue, stone steal, etc)? I've heard of people just looting the first few floors to try and grind out gathering Ibis. My question is why? Is the chance for Black Ibis the same for any urn, no matter the level of the floor it is in? Is there any estimated experience per item rate? (I'm perfectly fine with ballpark numbers) Quick searches haven't really answered these questions so was hoping you'd guys be able to help ^_^. My main question is the first, because I normally rush through with my inventory full and I usually take time to notice each item that is on the ground and I'd love if Ibis comes by itself so I don't have to worry about a statue hiding say the boots.

Gaming Addiction and "Pro" Players
Sorry there is no tl;lr, if a few paragraphs are too much then feel free skipping this post ;) To be fair, there is nothing solidly proven about gaming addition. At this current time it is not recognized by the American Medical Association or International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD). I believe the main cause for it not getting the classification was the withdraw symptoms not having any real physical side effects. Basically none of us will break out in cold sweats and shake for days if we don't play Runescape like say a cocaine addict might. I've read some fairly good published articles on it out of curiosity over the years and besides that this is not at all my field of study, nor my area at all. One more point that is worth throwing out there is the nature of science. Nothing in science is ever proven, it is just accepted. It is a fun lecture I've seen given to freshmen a few times about the scientific method, that goes on to say your Doctor isn't working on facts, he is working on accepted theories. Science is made like this so when new research is done, published, and accepted by peers that it can fold into science and possibly replace other research. Now evolution and the big bang theories are well accepted, but the nature of science is not to be concrete, but allowed to change as evidence is found. Now that aside I will contradict myself. The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) about a year ago (August 15, 2011) actually changed there definition of addiction from a behavioral problem involving substances to a chronic brain disorder1. This begins to open the door for more conventional addictions to be added, such as gaming addition. Science can be slow to move at times because there is a pressure to get things right. It gives a bad image to the public for any science to accept something, and then reject it. So there is overwhelming need to be confident on a decision. Personally, I've seen people publish data and conclusions in scientific journals and then later have to make an amend to the article because they got something wrong. To do this you basically have to republish a sort of response to your original article and in many regards publicly confess you are wrong. As some may know, scientists of all flavors are typically proud people, so doing this hurts. These factors are why I believe internet gaming addiction is not officially recognized, yet. There are quite a few articles out there that at the very least show that complex games can show behavioral changes. An article published by the University of Gothenburg suggests that complex games that involve violence can lead to more aggressive behavior in the people playing them2. There research goes on to say basically knowledge learned in the game, about the game can be transferred to real life. Such as playing a modern warfare game and learning how to cut someone... well that knowledge carries with you. The University of Michigan also found the opposite is true, that some games can also make children nicer3 . So if there is evidence that video games can actually cause behavioral changes then I think video gaming, in general, is on its way to be recognized at the very least as something that can have an effect on ones behavior. These two previous studies I mentioned focused mainly on teenagers and even younger kids which I suppose are more impressionable. But there are even studies published that say adults that actively game can show behavioral changes. Brigham Young University published an article saying Online Role-Playing games can actually hurt marital satisfaction4. So if playing Runescape can make someones sex life decline in satisfaction then I think we can agree there are some problems :P. But, turning back more to the article in the opening post: I'm not a fan of news articles mainly because they are written and published by journalists, not scientists. So the article touches more with someones story then anything medical. I do believe all of us that have played Runescape can tell apart those who play for levels, milestones, or certain achievements and those that play for the sake of playing. I won't lie I have a few friends who log onto Runescape and just bank stand because they have nothing better to do. Personally I don't understand it, but I see those that fit some evidence of addiction. Some others log in because they want to get a 99 or maybe get a pernix body split. They log in and do something and works towards a goal. Now I'm not sure there is a difference between the two, but for me I'd be more concern about those that log in and do nothing just because they want to be in Runescape and they are shifting more into "the dark side of gaming". StarCraft is a bit of a different game then Runescape in a lot of regards. It is a strategy game, which leads to actually competitions people can watch and enjoy. Runescape doesn't really have that since there are many different competitions to be played in Runescape and many people only like a few certain areas. There is even two totally different communities geared to two different warring styles. So with that sadly I've never heard of anyone in Runescape getting a sponsorship (I don't count anything involving youtube). So I guess with that we are all amateurs (the word means unpaid, and not so much inexperienced). But does that mean we all are just addicts :P? Sources, incase anyone wishes to know (sorry tip.it doesn't get a formal citation list, but these are in some basic apa form) 1 American Society of Addiction Medicine (2011, August 15). 200M in all Skills
Grinding 200ms is fun? Yes honestly ;) I enjoy the grind of most skills that aren't super attention oriented, its the reason Runescape interested me in the first place honestly. Its disappointing, personally, in some regards that the grind has been sped up, but is the nature of the game so I won't be one complaining that my 99 cooking on sharks before cook-x is more respectable then someones doing rocktails now. I'd imagine that most top players enjoy the grind to some degree. Its not about the endless hours of it, but the achievement of hitting certain milestones. I suppose why else would someone go for 200mils if they didn't get some enjoyment out of it? I'm sure each individual person has there own twist on what they enjoy: the milestones, the climbing of ranks, or maybe even fame(?, gotta admit a few people come to mind). I mix my grinding with shows, music, homework, or even actual work (yes I'm lucky to have a job that I can afk rs half the time without any drop in proficiency in the job) so there are ways to make the grind less of well...a grind :P

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Zoomed past 36m thieving experience tonight. Still around 68 hours left of thieving until 50M but it feels a ton faster then Runecrafting XD. This week is my last week working my lab for the summer as well, will have three weeks off before the semester starts and will easily be able to finish 50M thieving in that time and plan to get started on my next goal after thieving and even get a good part of it done. Not entirely decided where I'm headed after thieving though, so will have to wait a bit on committing to one thing. Some offtopicness :P

Thank you Fredrow :P Been awhile since I posted, but been pretty much grinding away thieiving. Over 17mil through my goal currently and just around 34.5mil overall experience: Here is my current loot from dwarf traders too lol. This is about 14mil total experience there with about 1.5mil gp as well to add to it: Also updated my opening post, closing in on 100mil total experience gained since the start of this thread!

200M in all Skills
Thank you :P, I have no problem being a backup but the Top 15 torch is securely yours XD. (this weeks update is all yours if you want it too) And in response to Gemeos' post, Drumgun's major problem is slayer and the motivation to get 200M in it with no other combat experience to be gained. I have no doubt he can do it if he chooses to and it is not a killer set back, but set back nonetheless for him.

Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!
Passed 25M thieving experience this morning before heading to the lab and actually passed 26M experience this evening as well: Thieving has been going pretty fast after runecrafting and I've been averaging about 1.25M experience a day and hope to keep that average, if not increase it. Will be doing a mix of dwarf traders and pyramid plunder. Will likely try my luck this weekend at plunder for ibis :P

Longest runescape session?
A handful of 30+ hour times in the summers of highschool when racing friends to 99s. For better or worse life won't allow me much more then 6-8 hour sessions now (thats after an 8 hour work day too so usually don't even stay that long). While grinding through 120 dungeoneering the 6 hour log out was decently common as it seemed time just slipped away dungeoneering, but most other things I enjoy atleast a 15 minute break every 3 hours or so.

Sizzling Summer Blow Out!
Ehhh, not a great feeling reading this post. It does scream "STAY SUBSCRIBED PRETTY PLEASE" and not a huge fan how they can put a price on a free costume now >.> its not worth 45 dollars unless you actually put it in the shop for someone to buy later, which I wouldn't be surprised if they do :P. Really don't like the choose your faith either, dipping into rwt weapons with good stats is the breaking point for me :P
