Well, after playing/beating both games, it seems that white is undisputably better. With white forest giving access to porygon, happiny, trapinch, and bagon, and with black/white essentially sharing tyrannitar/ferro, black seems mediocre when you factor in the fact that most ou competitive teams can essentially be made purely by breeding/trading amongst 2 white games. Makes me wonder though what they plan on doing next. I mean, if this is just the start of 5th gen, imagine what's in store when they release the hybrid (pkmn grey), or the rerelease versions of ruby/sapphire.

Kessel also has more goals than brodeur, so I guess he should be in net for them too. Facts are, people care more about overall points than just goals alone. Look at the assists totals, and you can see that they're practically even, and that kessel is pretty low on the 'points total totem pole'. You keep trying to make the kessel deal seem like a good thing, when in all actuality, it was horrible considering they were supposed to be 'rebuilding'.

@yguy: now you're just being nonsensical. Comparing kessel to be 'equal' to many of those players is asanine, especially when many of them have had 70-80point seasons averaged.

And yet again yguy, your arguement leaves enough points to let me create my own 'arguement superpower'. I have a reasonable idea: let's remove the variable of 'future points/assists', and assume that they all score the same amount. Realistically, kessel is 'older' than seguin/hall. Therefore, even if they both score the same amount, kessel will only really be playing for 13-14yrs (assuming he retires at 41). Compare that to the 21-22yrs with the rookies, and you can still see that the deal was horrible. Blyaunte, you call that a rant? I mean c'mon, you didn't even mention the fact that the leafs will now have to contend with an overall stronger bruins team. And with only 8 playoff spots, it makes it that more tough to make the playoffs. Kinda ironic though if you think about it. Even blyaunte, one of the oldest people on these forums, wasn't alive when the leafs last won the cup. And judging by the 'good decisions' they're making, she's probably not gonna be alive when the leafs next win the cup.

Yguy, the problem you have in your arguement is 2-fold. 1: you are assuming that kessel will remain consistant over the next couple years, and 2: your logic regarding gustavvson makes no sense from a leafs standpoint. Kessel could easily get cruddy over the next few seasons, and become the leaf's version of kovalchuk. Your arguement is that the rookies are unreliable? Every nhl player has a part of their career where they perform horribly/'slide'. For kessel, that could easily be next season. Gustavvson, well, it is highly irrational that they'll keep him due to the way the organization works. They take decent 'backup' goalies, make them their starters, and expect them to perform at a level that many of them have never seen/reached. Then, if, or should I say when, they do a bad job, they blame the goalies/trade'm off, thus repeating the cycle. Break the cycle, and toronto could legitimately have good goaltending.

Phendrana scared me the first time I played through it. It had that mix of 'outside nature/peaceful relaxation' mixed with 'hidden alcoves/go indoors and they'll kill you'. Not many games have that mix, and I think for many people new to the series, it plays off them a bit.

The kessel trade was actually pretty bad (mind you, I didn't focus on it too much due to the other bad deals they made which together, were collectively worse). I mean, c'mon. If you trade a first round pick, then trade it to a team in the west, and not in your own conference. Trading the bruins a pick only makes it tougher for the leafs themselves to get into the playoffs. Gustavvson could've done so much better if they had trained'm right and left'm in the minors for 2-3 years. Instead, they bring him up too early, and expect his 'rookie-ish' skill to hold up against other, well seasoned teams? I honestly feel bad for him. If only they had left'm in the minors, maybe then, he would've become the goalie they wanted.

Yguy, take a look at the shareholders. The main share holder (the teacher's union) is already thinking of selling their shares because the general consensus (according to practically everyone), is that tml has virtually no chance of doing anything good now, or in the next few years. Osgood still has a few good years left in'm, and as long as he continues these good numbers, the red wings probably couldn't care if he plays till 50. Truth be told, the leafs will never find a good goaltender so long as they continue to get them without making their offense/defense good first. Kinda a pity though, they always have high hopes in the people who play for toronto. Then all those hopes turn to inexplicable hatred when the person either does their best or gets traded.../cough, chris bosh, cough/
