That's not true at all. In 7th and 8th grade, I was like 4' 11'' and weighed maybe 80 pounds. My voice was higher than I bet Lindsey Lohan is right now. This is the utmost stupidity that really drives me crazy. People assuming things that are not even close to being true. For the record, efficiency doesn't exclude fun, you can have fun and be efficient at the same time, and more often than not, being more efficient allows you to have more fun. In other words, people aren't efficient because they hate having fun. Commonly acknowledged example: using piety or turmoil on slayer is much more fun than not. You hit big numbers AND it's efficient, especially given the tiny price of prayer potions these days.
