  1. Aren't we all a little crazy in the head? Let him do what he wants, so what if he doesn't chop ivies or teaks eh? But I'm agreeing with you guys on how this whole rant is kinda pointless. I guess we are - personally, I have an irrational fear of training combat stats without Slayer. Also, I love AFKing String Jewellry but hate AFKing Fishing or Woodcutting. I guess we all have our own personal preferences.
  2. You might be surprised. Fletching may not be the most fun in the world, but some people like RuneScape because of it's.... lack of intensity. But it's an unhappy medium, between, say, fishing rocktail/chopping ivy/casually slaying and dungeoneering/boss hunting.
  3. You should cannon Abby Specs/Bloodveld if you don't already.
  4. That's a rather small population. The people who Dungeoneering doesn't appeal to have either not tried it enough/don't play with friends/hate challenges. In my experience, they tend to be the people with fishing (or even more commonly, Woodcutting) skillcapes who rarely, if ever, PvM and mostly get on to chat with their buds. I don't dislike them for this. However, if you like any one of those things (any boss hunter should know that the Daemonheim bosses are among the most fun/challenging in RuneScape), dungeoneering should be at least marginally more fun at a high level than a low level. That wasn't my point...but thanks for your input. *re-reads post* Still, though. There are very few people who would dislike Dungeoneering compared to a grind-fest skill like Fletching if they were given the proper opportunities.
  5. Using rapier/piety/extremes I still out-DPS'd the healers =D You should be fine.
  6. Do you, by any chance, have an SGS or an Enhanced Excalibur? If so, the caves should be a breeze. If not, try to get an SGS loan. If you can prayer switch effectively on Jad, 81 ranged should be enough to take him down.

  8. Really? I dislike K'ril because he's boring in a team, dangerous while soloing, unrewarding, ugly, and takes a while to get to. Seriously, he's the second worst boss in RuneScape behind only the KQ. If anything, RS needs to bosses to vacate Bandos, etc. 110's (or me, for that matter) should be able to solo Bandos, it's just Jagex's fault for not creating higher-level bosses to challenge higher-level players.
  9. Uh no, you hardly learn anything from level 1-60. You learn basic skill mechanics, which is not tantamount to knowing how to dungeoneer. I know the rules of football, but that doesn't make me a pro football player. Dungeoneering is definitely not the same from 1-60, 60-99, or 99-120, and arguing to the contrary shows just how little you know about it. Man, I never even said 60 dungeoneering makes you pro, so I don't know where that football thing came from. You're whole "i'm right, you're wrong" way of argueing is no way to go about it. I personally have 89 dungeoneering, and I can say from 1-60, and 60-89 were not very different. The only things that changed were better keying, better teammates, etc. But the BASICS, ie. exploring the dungeon, fighting a boss, getting exp, the whole concept of the skill does NOT change. And people ARE allowed to dislike dungeoneering because of the way it's built, and I personally know many people who dislike because it doesn't fit their play style. Just for the record, I have liked dungeoneering since level 1, and will probably continue to train it for more weapons to add to my arsenal. See, I liked it at level 1, and at level 30, level 60, level 80, and soon level 90. I can have an opinion on it. The bold isn't a big change at all. Most people with 60 Dungeoneering have ToG'd/Penguin'd/Lamp'd some of it. If you enjoy epic boss fights, Dungeoneering is for you. If you like playing with other people, Dungeoneering is for you. If you enjoy a slow, solo experience, Dungeoneering is for you. If you don't like soloing and you don't like idiots, Dungeoneering probably isn't for you unless you have a good, dedicated, group of friends. Honestly, before about 70 or so I found Dungeoneering incredibly boring. From 70-81, I dunged with a team of good friends mostly and it was a ton of fun.
  10. First of all, the OP is a little crazy in the head if he thinks chopping willows is in any way different than chopping ivy. If he prefers getting stuff, why not chop teaks and bank them? It's more involved, and gives better xp and money. Secondly, why [bleep]ing rant if you have a goal? It's your goal, go out and get it. No one is stopping you.
  11. I just do Rune DMs on World 65. I win about 80% of them, so it's decent profit.
  12. You're not high-levelled enough to get the full experience of new RS. Seriously, try it out a bit =D
  13. TDs are the best at your level, and perhaps any level. Once you get Yak, you can try out DKs or GWD.
  14. Golvellius is wrong in a thread whose title contains the word "efficiency"? Shocker.
  15. Neat post - I think there should be a weapon bind, platebody/legs/shield bind, jewelry bind, helm bind, and 2 ammo binds. These should be purchasable through level up (at 50 you can choose 2, 100 you can choose 1, 120 choose 1) or a small token fee. Weapon bind and first ammo bind are automatic.
  16. You don't need your amulet of mspeak. Just right-click Trade.
  17. I only know it from that Simpsons episode where Lisa writes an essay entitled "Cesspool On The Potomac".
  18. Yeah, I don't get it either. All logs were made equal, so cutting willows is no different from cutting magics, maples, etc (sans speed). That's my problem with skilling -- the fastest method and the slowest method are usually performed the same way, so why choose the slowest method? It's not going to be fun either way, but at least cutting ivy/teaks or burning magics over maples is much faster. I'd much rather get the skilling out of the way as quickly as possible so I can go back to the actual fun stuff (slayer, MHing, dungeoneering). Why does a better xp/hour rate does make something more fun? I agree with the OP it is more fun to collect 10k of each log then to grind for xp Cutting 10k magic logs is not more fun than chopping 10k pieces of ivy.
  19. First of all, aim for 89 rather than 90. It's cheaper and provides all the same benefits (perhaps it's a little harder to make Super Prayers if you need those). Second of all, barbarian potions can sometimes profit and give 100k/xp an hour. It's junk, but you can always pawn it off while lending items or trading with good friends.
  20. Barrows is always fun and only requires 70 magic/43 prayer. Feels like boss hunting but it's safe and easy. It's how I made my first 20M.
  21. Question: Why do you cut willows? Answer: *turns of public chat* It's that simple broski. Also, cutting willows is pointless.
  22. If you're not all that good at switching/paying attention, the DPS of Claws is only a little better than that of the Chaotic Rapier. That being said, it's still probably better/more useful than tassets.
  23. http://forum.tip.it/topic/262065-complete-slayer-guide/ Section on ranged slaying at the end.
