Your max hit increases by one. Assuming the system gives each hit the same chance of hitting (ie, not a bell curve, which seems unlikely) wouldn't you only have (assuming your max hit is 50 with the berserker ring; 49 without) a 1/50 chance of inflicting one more damage? ^ That.

This. I'd even go so far as to recommend macaws at decent herb droppers like Abyssal Demons. Since most people use healing or fighting familiars at most "decent" herb droppers I wouldn't use a macaw there (Although you don't have the summoning for the good healing familiars, so they may be worth it). Bunyips overheal me at Abyssal Demons. There aren't any good MC zones to fight them in. A BoB might be better, but I get significantly more lantadymes/dwarf weeds with Macaw. Overall, I estimate its worth at 30k/pouch. A magpie might be better.

Zamorakian Spear should be #1 on your wishlist Amulet of Fury is good but not necessary Pump money into pray/herb.

Ranged tanking is possible with Armadyl and 90+ defense with super defense potions / EE anyway. You might need a little food or soul split though.

It really all depends. Obviously, if you're not praying, Ranged > Fury. In addition, the +5 Ranged bonus is more important on tasks where you're using Rune Darts / Knives instead of Rune Crossbow. But I will make a note there.
