Lol haha, everything in Runescape, even Runescape itself has haters tbh. :P I dislike Tinypic's new uploading system... sure it scares away bots but it just slows down everyone else. <_<

Schools confiscating students' property
At my school, I know that the teacher gives back the item at some point. But refusing to give back something like a laser pointer? <_< Besides, most of the time when people use stuff like this, they are just joking around. They have no intention for harming somebody.

The shunned skill capes
I really hate it when people want to get a cape because "they must have it". It's a game people. It's meant for FUN. Although I don't care less if you grind, that's just crossing the line there. (Since I'm nice and such, I still "gratz" such achievements like 99s, maxed out, etc. I don't "lol no lifer" them.)

Giant bats
Take the monster's combat level, multiply by 2, then +1. If you're lower than that, the monsters nearby usually go unaggressive after 10-15 minutes. Generally monsters over level 69, wilderness monsters, and dungeoneering monsters will always be aggressive towards you. There will be a few monsters that will always be aggressive, period. In that case, the only way to make them go unaggressive is to wait the time.

Training range on f2p
This is another reason why Fletching should become a F2P skill. MOAR ARROWZ SUPPLY IN GE PLZ. Also, you can "profit" iron arrows if you range minotaurs, so no, the amounts aren't small. I always end up with ~500 more iron arrows than what I started with every trip to these guys.

Dungeoneering Suggestions
Bump as a reminder. I've also put a suggestion to bump up the ranged strength of the arrows to a much higher degree. Arrows in Daemonheim are so underpowered it's not even funny.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I sometimes wonder why the arrows in Dungeoneering have surprisingly low Ranged strength... Sagittarian arrows only have +46, which is not even the power of rune arrows. Fractite arrows only fall between steel and mithril too. IMO the strength should be boosted big time. Make fractite arrows the equivalent (possibly a bit more or less) of rune arrows. Perhaps something like this: Novite: +5 Bathus: +10 Marmaros: +22 Kratonite: +35 Fractite: +47 Zephyrium: +58 Argonite: +70 Katagon: +82 Gorgonite: +95 Promethium: +106 Sagittarian: +120 (Ok, maybe +120 is overkill... but other tier 11 items have insanely high bonuses too, so why not ranged?)

Hey Kaida, I see you've came back from that long break of yours! Hopefully you can reach your 99 mining goal soon as well. And dungeoneering really is something that should be honored. Too bad there's a lot of haters too. :(

1 Day of Free-to-Play 'Scaping
Sigh, I'm not even going to argue with you. <_< And to the OP, if you want any tips to improve your skills, you can come and ask me! For now, I shall leave some tips here. - Melee: Train on the monsters in the Stronghold of Security. A guide to this can be found here. Get all melee stats to 40. - Ranged: Same place. Try to use safespots. Get ranged to 40. - Magic: I see you already got 43 magic, for superheating! That definitely is awesome. Superheating is excellent exp, at your level, do this with steel bars for small profit or break even. Get magic to 59. - Prayer: Just bury the bones that any monster drops. Don't bother buying bones right now. Get prayer to 45. - Mining: 41 mining for a rune pickaxe, then either bank essence or bank iron ore. Dropping grants more exp, but at a lower level, focus on cash. Get mining to 60, then go for 70 or possibly 85. - Smithing: Train this via superheating. Any other method right now consumes too much cash. Train smithing to 50, 70, or even 85. - Fishing: Fly fishing is the way to go, in Lumbridge. Bank the fish at Lumbridge Castle. Do not use tuna/lobster/swordfish until 60+. Get fishing to that point, and maybe 65 if you like swordfish. - Cooking: Cook every single fish that you banked, at the cooking range in Al Kharid. Ranges create far less burning, thus more exp. Get cooking to 60+. - Woodcutting: 41 woodcutting for a rune hatchet. Cut willows at Draynor Bank. Get woodcutting to 60+, but do not cut yews at 60. - Firemaking: Light every log you get. Right now, this is a far better option than buying maples. Get firemaking to 45, then decide what you want to do then. - Crafting: I really don't know how to do this at the early levels, sorry. But once you get it higher, gold amulets and making jewelry is decent exp and profits, while tiaras and hard leather bodies grant excellent exp but does not profit. Get crafting to 40. - Runecrafting: Mine essence, use an air tiara, then runecraft air runes. Be sure to use musicians to restore run energy. A guide to this can be found here. *coughownguidecough* Get runecrafting to 50, and train it as high as possible (higher level = greater profit). - Dungeoneering: Go to W1, team up with somebody, and just do dungeons. Be sure to reset the ring once all floors available are marked as done, to gain prestige experience. Get dungeoneering to 70. Also, you might want to consider Fist of Guthix and Great Orb Project. Though FOG has no requirement, GOP does (which is why I said 50 RC). Both are very fun minigames, and you can get excellent rewards out of these. Dungeoneering rewards are great too. Coal bag helps a lot while mining, arcane blast necklace boosts magic damage, and maple longbow sight increases a maple longbow's accuracy to +110! There are lots of things to do in F2P Runescape. I really hope the tips help you, and have fun! :)

That's what I thought too, before I heard that even teaming grants 50% deduction. Still, W1 teaming on "F2p Dg" is fun at least. Sure, there's the occasional jerk that can't do the "Follow the Leader" puzzle correctly, but most people I team with do fine. :)

Never knew about the walking trick... lol. Still, I like running around in circles. Also, the boss difficulty doesn't really increase that much, neither do mobs. You have an equal chance of finding a level 158 zombie in any Abandoned 1 floor as with any Abandoned 2 floor, so long as you're doing 5:5. Size doesn't seem to matter for mobs (said monster was encountered in 5:5 small), but it does for bosses. In small/medium 5:5's, I always seem to get the riftsplitter's 162 version, but in a large 5:5, I got a 205.

Money is part of the reason. The 90+ combat thing in dungeoneering is another part of the reason. 70+ all stats will bring me to 89 combat, and say I'm still at 70 HP, I need 3 more HP levels for 90 combat. However, this will probably bring me to ~72-ish HP, forcing me to become a skiller within the dungeon. In case you don't know, 90+ combat in F2P automatically means your experience in Dungeoneering is halved, unless you play with a very low-leveled player (skiller, for example). But there would be even more problems such as the Gluttonous Behemoth.

Swedishboy7's blog! Going for all skills 80+!
Awesome, grats on completing the new Fairy Tale quest! Hopefully 89 RC for you today.

Hehe thank you! :D Now, here's when the levels start becoming ugly... 16k left till 61. :wall: Hopefully my other goal of all non-combat skills 70+ can be reached soon, along with 1100 total.

Purpose of the Strange Power
As mentioned in the journals, it is the power that lifted Daemonheim into this plane. That's the only definition I can think of now.

If you pray against either Magic or Ranged, and dodge the icicle attack by running in SMALL circles, Luminiscent Icefiend is easy work. And as for Icy Bones... watch lolz.

Why does Jagex make you wait 40 seconds before changing worlds?
What's so bad about that? And yeah, I agree, the 40-second wait is extremely annoying. Unless Jagex's servers are real turtles, it should be instantly transferred within a millisecond.

Icy bones hits through prayer, and as a ranger in dung, he uses more varied attacks. D: And yeah, I know about the icicles thing. I got hit down to 8 LP halfway during it, but then it didn't hit anymore. Didn't get the "Against All Odds" title, is there something wrong? Oh and Protect from Ranged does not guarantee no-hit. It uses a magic attack too, just like regular icefiends.

This thread proves how arrogant the Runescape community is. 5/10. Not bad for someone who played 23 hours in total. Keep up the progress you have so far and good luck with your goals! :)

The F2P General Discussion Thread
It's a nice strategy, but of course I find solo bosses easy, how about in a 5:5 team? Also, out of the boss topic, anyone encountered an extremely high-leveled monster? Personally, the highest I've met was a 158 zombie (melee) on F14, on a 5:5 small. For other monsters, 135 hill giant, 111 ranger (sagittarian), 130 warrior (primal), 110 mage (celestial), 120 skeleton (ranged), 113 skeleton (magic), 135 brute, 111 shade, 131 dog, 108 ice warrior, 133 earth warrior, 128 zombie (ranged)... ALL of them are extremely strong compared to above-surface monsters. They share a similar trait to revenants, as their combat level reflects the equivalent of a player of that level. However, unlike revenants, you can pray against them. As long as you pray the correct style and exploit their weakness, they aren't that hard to defeat. An exception to this is the ranger. Even while praying ranged and using melee, I couldn't even get his HP down to half before my prayer ran out. Shades can be a nuisance too, as they use both magic and ranged and switch targets. However they have extremely low defense, so as long as you pile it, you make quick work of it. With all this taken into account, I can conclude the monster cap only applies to bosses. The highest leveled boss was a 205 Har'lakk the Riftsplitter, while I heard members can get a 520 Hobogoblin Geomancer.

Most annoying dungeoneering boss
You know what? After quite a few experiences with most of the bosses, I'm going to vote for the Shadow-forger. Stupid acid-rain attack... plus the fact that he has no weakness so he's gonna be hard no matter how you face him. The "glow" special attack cannot be dodged by just standing at the far side ranging/maging either. You HAVE to hide behind the pillar. Also, when you range, the arrows simply disappear, which can be frustrating too. It might be a glitch, but then again it makes sense as he hangs over a pit.

Dungeoneering: F2P 90+ Combat Nerf
Not that kind of pure. A pure with 40 attack/defense, 99 strength/ranged/magic/hp, and 45 prayer, perhaps. That gets you 88 combat. As long as you don't train attack/defense/prayer, you stay like this. You need 11 attack levels, 3 defense levels, or 5 prayer levels to get even 89 combat. This undoubtedly gets you the best advantage of experience.
