I would really say scimitar, due to the extra speed bar that it gives over the longsword. However, the longsword isn't a bad weapon either. With a high attack level, you can pretty much dominate anything with it. Both weapons are good. It really depends on how you use it, and what type of weapon you like more.

@ Ratchet: Actually, in F2P, fishing isn't as great of a moneymaker as it seems. Skills like mining (runite rocks) and runecrafting (air/water runes) are the skills that make BIG BUCKS. Okay, on topic. I don't really see how you got banned. Really, the only valid reason that you should be banned is if you are botting/rwting. If you said a bad word, harrassed someone, or whatever, what's the big fuss about that? The other guy should suck it up, not be a wanna-be mod and report it to Jagex. (If that guy's a p-mod, then he really shouldn't be so corrupt.) The report abuse feature is already abused itself, rather ironically.

Well said. Most high-level F2P I have met happen to be player mods as well (Suzmuckett, Lordjake, Water Is Nat, etc.). And from what I know, high-level F2P are nice people. Not corrupt, stuck-up [bleep]s that call themselves "p-mods" and mute others for no reason.

Normally, using your money is the better option. You have to make use of your cold, hard, cash, right? But it doesn't really matter, because no matter what you do with it, the money is still there, in cash or in items.

So, there's a topic about your lowest level. I decided to make a one opposite that, AKA "Your Highest Level". Basically, tell me what your highest level is, and explain why you trained it to be that high. Note: If you have multiple 99's, say the 99 that you have the most exp in. For me, my highest level is Firemaking, at 80. I trained it to that high, because I like it, it's fast, and I want a quick 80+.

Dang, I missed the red aura. I just wish it happens again so I can take a screenie of it. And just yesterday while training combat at giant spiders via Singha2002, I ran out of food and got my HP down to 4. :blink: Luckily I was very close to the exit, so I managed to cabbage-port out. I didn't know they were THAT powerful. :shock:

People do care a lot about profit... And people only try to make a profit by selling items if the item is useless in the first place. This is why holiday items and such are bought. But, you're kinda right. If you're like me, who thinks cash isn't everything, then yes, people should only buy items to use them.

Haha, bit too far? I've been asked once by an in game friend to help him PK because he wasn't very good at it(before 07 update). He said 'take your best armor, I don't want you to die and leave me alone.' I replied with a nervous lol, and said maybe some other day. But not trusting anyone? It seems too far, but when I think about it, I really don't trust people in Runescape(except irl friends).Even the seemingly nice ones. I try to be nice and generous in Runescape too; I wonder if anyone is cynical of me. I thought over it, and yeah I guess so. There are quests like the Shield of Arrav which require a partnership, and you would only add good people on your friend list (hence that is why it is called a "friend list"). I'm just overreacting, due to the large amount of rants regarding player behavior. I'm just getting sick of them. :mellow:

Nearly 200M? That's... that's INCREDIBLE to have in F2P! :blink: I myself haven't even hit the 1M mark yet, though my alt (Singha2002) already has 2M and full sara thanks to the party room. -_-

Bounty Worlds are PvP worlds that only involve the Wilderness, Edgeville, Grand Exchange, and the Monastery. It is different in the way that you can only go to those places, and you get assigned a "target" for you to kill (for bounty hunters rank). There are also +1 worlds, worlds that you get to keep your most valuable item upon death no matter what. Other than that, they are exactly like Bounty Worlds.

@ to all the people who support running: Only do it, and I mean ONLY DO IT, if you're good and experienced at it! Otherwise, you'll be easily found and attacked by your opponent. Usually that means an easy kill.

Nah... Look at the number of players now. From those players, look at the ones that consistently demand for updates and changes (hint hint: RANT FORUM). As long as there is popular demand, Runescape will continue to keep going.

Yeah, same. I want to quickly hit a 60+, as long it's something I will enjoy. About the mining thing, I train mining by powermining iron or banking coal.

Since you're selling a 100m+ item, 5m isn't that big of a difference anyway. Not rant worthy.

My goal as of now is to get 1000 total. After that, I'm going to start working on 99 runecrafting, while also getting woodcutting, mining, and fishing levels to stop boredom. Maybe I might get 99 in those other 3 skills too...
