  1. The problem with that is that cows often are very crowded, which is why I left them out. Besides, they're only 8 hp, so make up for slow training. If some cash is needed to help start, you should do the Security of Stronghold levels (get through them to claim the rewards at the centre of each level). Bring some food if you deem it necessary. The reward will consist of 10K cash and either grey or coloured fighting boots. The cows near Beefy bill are usually pretty empty and all you have to do is use the cow hides and raw beef on him and it gets banked, tan the hides and sell the raw beef and the hides on the ge for some pretty good starting out cash but rather slow combat exp.
  2. Super set and the best food you can get (I used pineapple pizzas). When you kill the 10 trolls speak to the guy like it says in the quest and get the prayer pot and tuna (you can take your own prayer pot aswell if you want). I would get 70 attack so you can use/borrow a whip.
  3. This "He just said he while he was completing it he didn't see any" He also said he saw the stranger AFTER he had finished the quest. What are you failing to understand?
  4. If you have the Smoke Diamond in your inventory a Stranger can randomly attack your with a dds. He killed me in varrock sq but luckily my mate blessed my gravestone and i managed to get it back. The problem is, he hangs around your gravestone making it a real pain in the [wagon] to get back if you're a pure. Its only a random occurance and depends how long you had the diamond in your invent for. He has finished the quest though. He just said he while he was completing it he didn't see any... :? That doesn't make sense.

  6. Str isn't really that important, what level is your attack?
  7. Actually f2p generates more than 280K a year in adverts so they do support the game just not out of there own pocket and JAGEX has said f2p are getting something for getting a 99 just not a skillcape. There is graph somewere showing that f2p generated 7% of income for JAGEX which means that if JAGEX earns £4 million a year then 7% is about 280k, I think. (maths was never my strong point :( )
  8. It isn't that they are rare, it is that cos they are so rare the price is around 400 million, so there not really an effective counter to them weapons.
  9. ...or because they need to train their slayer in order to unlock content, e.g. slayer rings, broad bolts, broad bolt fletching, quest requirements... You look kind of silly when you forget that part. :ugeek: If you really hate slayer, then none of those items are really needed. Its faster to get a portal in your house or Ancient Magic for a Canifis teleport. Broad Bolts and Fletching arn't as godly as before due to the massive [bleep]e in their price onces people realized thry were good exp and good bolts. Quest reqs are the only actual reason, but tbh none of the rewards justify the slayer levels. Unless you want the quest cape, there is no point to train it. Even if new content is released, there are more then enoguh slayers to bring the price crashing down. Look at Dark Bows, and the whip. ...I can disagree from personal experience. Slayer rings are an incredibly useful piece of jewellery. Broad bolts are the most efficient bolts to train ranged with. Managing Miscellania is one of the most profitable activities in the game. Ava's Accumulator is a godsend for ranging. Proselyte is the best prayer armour in the game. All valid reasons to train. Can't leave that stuff out.[/hide] Which all require very low slayer level to get, I think the highest is 55. Edit: I know it comes across like I hate slayer but I actually quite like it. The point is that they're a very valid reason to train slayer, and you shouldn't go about as though they don't exist. I agree that there is no reason to train slayer after a certain level; however, until that point, I believe it's a well-designed skill that is worth training. Well-designed?

  11. if jagex would raise hp, it would be impossible to pk. people would just safe, and no one would die in pvp. also if they raised hp, they'd have to raise all the monsters max hits. if they didn't monster hunting would just become way too easy. It would be possible to pk, it would just take a little longer and force you to use magic more, which might lead to JAGEX increasing how effective it is. Just make monsters hit harder.
  12. There have been posts from JAGEX staff saying skill capes are not going f2p they are getting something else. Unless you can provide a source for this 5% no body will belive it.

If every second of your spare time is spent playing rs then your social life is totaly dependant on school and work, which on your days off means your on rs then your a no lifer. If your only on it casualy like 3 hours a day then your not a no lifer, are you. Thats just my interpretation, anyhoooo.
  14. If you don't like slayer than you can get better experiance just killing the same monster the same way you would kill that monster if you were doing slayer, if you know what I mean. For example, just cos your not killing kalphites as part of your slayer doesn't mean you can't cannon them for exp and charms etc, it just means you don't have to stop after killing X amount to go to a slayer master and be told to cannon something else. Of course if you want a maxed out account you need to train slayer before being 138 otherwise it's highly inefficient.

My most important resource is money, I have loads of free time at the moment. I am a member so I pay but that doesn't make it important, I payed for my ps3 and game, doesn't mean that is important. If you have better friends in rs than in real life you need to go outside and meet some people who can hang out with in a real world rather than in catherby while fishing virtual fish .... Rs's real reason for being, although I don't get that much fun out of it, it is still better than sitting doing nothing at all. It isn't important all it is a time waster, you use it to waste away a few hours it isn't needed it to function in real life, it doesn't look good on a c.v, it just beats the hell out of sitting staring at a tv (although most people do that while playing rs).

I think Brian Reagan said it best with his balloon analogy. When you see a kid lose his balloon, and it flies away, he starts screaming. His parents always talk down to him like "Why are you crying? It's just a balloon! We'll get you another one." I always answer back with, imagine if your wallet just floated out of your pocket, and started flying away. "Why you are crying? It's just a wallet. We'll get you another one." Thats a bad analogy, balloon is a bit of rubber and string, a wallet has money and I.D in. One is vastly more important than the other. The idea is that it's not about the tangible importance of the object, it's the perspective of the person who owns it. I don't think any kids values a balloon. It can't really be applied to runescape though cos it isn't important, if you think it is then I think you need to sort your priorities out.

But the adults know better so they just get the kid a new one, the kid wont know the difference. This is going off topic so lets forget about it.

  20. I honestly never cos a few mins later it came up with the "your time has ran out" message, oh well it isn't a big problem.
  21. yeah, wild carnivores are into inter species alliances, you would be fine .....
  22. I have over 10 free spaces in my bank, I am not raising my level for anything, all I am wearing is a d hatchet and those boots that make you lighter. I chopped the tree, got the reward, sold the kindling, teled to varrock ran behind the palace and got a full inv of yews but nothing happend, even the leprechaun said I have the time to magic bank but the message didn't pop up to tell me the time had ran out. I have never seen swirling magic or heard a noise. Bug maybe? But this was months ago, I always assumed I did something wrong.
  23. I did all that I had a full inv of yew logs then I tried clicking alot of things, I even talked to the leprechaun and still I had to bank my own logs.
  24. I nurtured the tree, hacked away at it, collected the reward, sold my kindling then went and filled up with logs with about 3 mins to spare in my time limit.
  25. To get away from cold blooded reptile you would go to a place filled with cold blooded reptiles? They also have tons of lizards and snakes and stuff in Australia. And you guys need to lighten up, seriously. "I hope you were being sarcastic", "You guys are overestimating them, they're chickens", "You guys are so stupid". Obviously, Velociraptors aren't going to reappear all over the world, so realism is already out the window. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, and if you get motion sick, you can get off anytime you like. Snakes and lizards are cold blooded animals so thanks for saying the exact same thing as me. =D> They arn't chickens, there about the same size as chickens. Seriously, were is your imagination? You say we need to lighten up? What? Velociraptors are about five feet tall. When you find a five foot tall chicken, tell me. :ohnoes: Also, what I emant when I said velociraptors would probably could open doors is that since their intellegence is most likely greater than or equal to dogs, then they probably could adapt to poening doors, like dogs can. Sure, not every velociraptor would be able to, but you wouldn't be able to realy on doors being barriers. And why did everyone ignore deinonychus? -.- FogHorn LegHorn  (hes close enough) "Velociraptor was a mid-sized dromaeosaurid, with adults measuring up to 2.07 m (6.8 ft) long, 0.5 m (1.6 ft) high at the hip, and weighing up to 15 kg (33 lb).[3] The skull, which grew up to 25 cm (9.8 in) long" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velociraptor You might want to change the your paragraph to the correct tense, "Velociraptors are about five feet tall" they WERE not are. There intellect has nothing to do with it a dog sized animal cannot open a closed a door, a raptor would be screwed by a low fence!
