Based on what? >_> Why would a new defender increase the demand for an item when defenders already existed as well as better alternative weaponry? Whips and other 1-handed items will become more valueable, because they will become better with a Dragon Defender. 2-handed items, like godswords, get no new boosts, and therefore stay the same. Basically, 1-handed items become more appealing because they are (will be) more powerful.

Those are pretty significant areas lol. I mean CLS is pretty much only useful for safe pvp and bandos yet people argue that it's still useful.... DFS is far more useful than CLS. Defender is only clearly better for limited pvp scenarios (mostly dangerous) and slayer. You're right, those are signifcant areas, and I agree, DFS does have it's place. But you are leaving out the rest of the bosses, which is quite a big part of the game. While DFS is better at 3 of those, what about team GWD? 3 scenarios right there that defender is better than dfs (unless you're tanking ofcourse). KBD and TD's, defender > DFS (with 85 herb at KBD ofcourse). Just like the CLS argument. It's not that the item is bad, there are just more places where accuracy is greater than defence (or strength, in the case of CLS).

EDIT 2: Sorry, +93 Magic defence with full mage. Had Fury equipped instead of Arcane Stream. Anyway...D'hide with whip/defender is +114 Magic defence.

Rune Defender > DFS overall. (IMO) Dragon Defender > Rune Defender. (Common sense) Therefore, Dragon Defender > DFS overall. (IMO) As mentioned before, DFS is very limited as far as situations go compared to Defender. Even Monster Hunting, Defender can be (and should be) substitued in place of a DFS. The only places I see as far as bosses go that DFS is better... 1. DK'S 2. Armadyl 3. Bandos (comparable) Can't think of any others atm...

When someone asks them to elaborate, that's generally what they're driving at. Once you said the bird comment you could make the far-off connection if you remember the infrequent methods of travel like that. To reply with a request of clarification with something just marginally less vague than the first message seems like skirting around things for a questionable reason. I know it's not a bug, but I could not think of any other reason to be so intentionally obtuse. The point of the bird comment was to elaborate, and that's exactly what it did. My second statement specified birds. When talking about getting from point A to point B, that would be transportation. I think we can do the math. :-k Transportion + Birds + Quest Rewards = ? Umm, I don't know about you....But that narrows it down quite a bit for me. You don't need to run the whole way to Gnome Stronghold, if you utilise past quest rewards :-w

Yeah ik, just never put that in lol plus its kinda negligable Yeah this is a good method, but usually what I do is I just bring emerald bolts and a crossbow with me and if someone hits me in edge I'll poison them. It usually annoys them and makes them say yeah no point attacking him especially if you drink a brew. But it definitely helps to switch between edge and cw if you do that. If you don't want to pay that much attention its probably a better idea cause then you don't have to worry about getting attacked, and you can do more bones per trip as well due to not needing any food. Definitely will add this in when I have the time. A really simple solution to Edge glorying is Draynor. In about an hour worth of using prayer brawls, didn't see one person. Usually, you can tele and be inside bank once the tele-timer wears off anyway.

Pretty much nailed it. Another thing that might be noted... Fairly often, within 5 mins of the start, someone has already left some ent/grave branches at base. When I start out a dungeon, if I need to mage, I just use air. Air/wind will suffice until 1. I find an ent tree, or 2. Someone has left ent/grave branches at base. Uses up an extra 15-20 seconds at most, compared to buying blood spindle and making t1.
