I was innocently in pvp and had the new sounds on and I went WTF, the new sounds for females at least could be the soundtrack for a porno! WTF is jagex thinking? In pvp the female char goes ooh ahh ooh oof ahhhhh ooooh WTF! It sounds like she is having far too much pleasure. I didn't see the need for this change, it's a fantasy game what is the point in having realistic pain and death sounds (especially when they don't even get those sounds right!) AND wtf is with the new halloween emote, I've heard so many people jokingly say its about time you opened your legs to me. WTF does that emote have to do with halloween. It seems more like an S&M emote to go with the new sounds :shock:

I love annoying others by doing this on my noob account. The easiest solution to this is to switch worlds btw. I really want jagex to diversify into new technologies, Unity Browser runs games well in your browser for example. It would be good if they could tap into some of the indie gaming talent especially as they were once an indie little game. There is so much cool stuff going on, if you really look for it. It's a pity that newcomers to the gaming scene get such little publicity and audience. Like max and the magic marker etc. I would love new content for skills and if they opened up new areas in the map, like a massive contents expansion.

Ditto. I would much rather see REAL updates or a continuation of the pirate quest series or even updated graphics to the pirate clothes vs this. The community is good at creating events itself via clans etc. I wish Jagex would support clans or rs guilds more.

I saw a player in Varrock doing this as well just spamming 32, we weren't sure if it was a bot though.

I actually agree with you on something. The double exp cheapens the game and the timing of it is clearly just a ploy to keep membership numbers up at a time of year when most people are ending members. At least the summon impact is minimal this time.

I might miss bumping into Romeo in Varrock square all the time. Didn't they update the graphics or make cutscenes for the romeo and juliet quest? I didn't think it was such a horrible quest that needed to be replaced. There's worse members quests for beginners than this one.

I would think it's hard to judge something when you haven't even played through it. In many ways the game now and the game before that the OP is talking about are different games. The community back then had far more respect, now I find that newer players tend to be demanding and spoiled, they want everything and just brush off higher lvl players who have played the game and acheived something as "no lifes". You list slayer as a favorite skill. When it came out the best weapons we had were dragon ones. (whips were expensive to begin with) Slayer used to more challenging, now it's another skill thats been made easier. Hands down the skill was much more fun when it was a challenge, now slayer exp rates are too good, we have better weapons, slayer points, good prayers, summon, effigies, gravestones, can cancel tasks etc.

Why isn't this thread locked? Who cares if someone is not wearing the perfect stat's outfit. I do this sometimes if I'm in the middle of selling off stuff for ending members. I'll slay in less than optimal gear as I wait for some stuff to sell. Instead of posting here to laugh at "noobz" so you can feel superior just talk to that person and suggest better items. Some people prefer fashion over being efficient.

I disagree. When the skill was released they had to do this and they explained why. Now that there is higher prestige it still doesn't matter. Members always level skills faster it's the incentive for getting membership. Plus higher level floors are more challenging for members it's not like they are just being handed free exp (apart from bonus exp weekend lol) Considering that some f2pers have 99+ already the exp rates are not that low and if you put in the time you too can reach 99. Once you pick up the rewards for f2p dungeons you don't have to continue training it, there is NO POINT. Unless you like it and just want to continue with it, but then don't whine about having lower exp. Also sonic I do not understand your ranting about being not able to buy membership. WTF. What country do you live in that there is no access to credit cards? There are so many payment options via Jagex.

Theres two new hair styles. Long hair side part which looks nice. As well as a high ponytail didn't try this. They are the last two options when you are picking a haircut.

Can someone make a vid with "naked" rs players. With the outcry against this on RSOF I bet they will nerf onion skin sadly.

Gorgeous outfit, the silver goes well with quest cape. I think boys clothes look great too. All clothes are more detailed now, best update in a long time!

Those naked outfits are funny, someone please post one. I've noticed only boys go "naked" no girls so far lol. Skin colour option FTW.

The shoes make that mage outfit very nice. I love that these new outfits include shoes or socks for a lot of bottom options. Love that finally there are lots of shades of blue to choose from! I've seen some really creative ones in game too!

Boring. This quest series is making me like the myreque quest series. That used to be my least favorite.

Bots are a sign of a healthy game. That people are interested and care enough about getting good items etc. I DO NOT bot. But I dont care if someone else does. Cheaper resources are ftw. Bots who are flush with cash also push prices up for things like monster drops so I profit there.

Haven't done the quest, but this whole void's knight series seems boring and pointless. Why are they tieing in quests and minigames now, just seems like a lazy way to reuse existing content. Like the void knights need more of a backstory? Why aren't they finishing up the quests from before that have an actual storyline and that we want. Open up elven lands. Give us a crystal halberd so the level 50s can use it. Only jagex knows how many phats are in existance. From my personal experience the numbers do not add up. I know lots of accounts that have quit leaving behind rares in their banks. Yet there are stil quite a lot of rares floating around, it isn't that unusual to see. Lending might distort this slightly but not that much. I think jagex might be silently slipping in a few rares now and then.

Actually they do... there are stringent editorial controls about what can or cannot be said so we see much less of it in top newspapers. Also after the fact some authors have issued apologies or retracted their comments or set the facts straight if they were wrong. In this situation it's very mild so none of that is needed. Everyone will forget about this article by next week.

Overcrowding of slayers monsters has been a problem since day 1 I would dare to say. Bad game mechanics are at the root of it. They should simply have made more slayer monster areas or increased respawn times. It's a litlle better now, however it does seem as if more people are slaying than ever before so it's still crowded unless at off-peak hours. As to the first article a certain R lost my respect a long time ago. They always apologize for jagex and they have low stat's. Of course they have thousands of hours of content left to play as they probably spend more time on forums than in game so could care less about updates. On the other hand that type of casual player who loves jagex unconditionally is probably who jagex is catering to atm anyhow. Let's all be grateful for one update a year.

If a update is delayed they should just release another update in it's place. For instance why couldn't we get the voids knight quest update in place of the TT update. Honestly the quality and quantity of updates is just not there anymore. I'm also mad at the dungeoning update why is it being released in smaller batches? :thumbdown: Why couldn't all the floors be released at once they are apparently ready to go. :wall: It would be more logical to have the skill cap raised to 120 for dungeon once the final floors were released with the max prestige. Summoning batch 2 was to fix the skill. Dungeon batch 2 is just continuing the skill so they can pretend to have an update! Jagex have gotten lazy.

This guy will be canned for his unprofessional attitude to the press. ^ Love how the journalist used this to refute Mg's statements. It's ironic that RS imitates and lifts ideas from competitors and then has the audacity to look down on other games. Quickchat is directly lifted from Club Penguin. Arrows and the safe starting area and the pathing for quests is directly lifted from Free Realms. Is Free Realms good? It's a SONY product. You can tele directly to anyone in your friends list. It's easy to meet people to chat with. There are lots of quests to do. It's intuitive and more advanced then RS in some ways. And Free Realms did not copy RS at all if they had, RS would have been descimated. All players would have jumped ship. Does anyone notice the lack of details about the new game and the reliance on harping on about Runescape's success.
