  1. I love how torstol unf potion prices are stuck at 4284. Bad ge.
  2. I strongly suspect jagex has tweaked the GE again. Removal or tweaks of price ceilings for the ge are also a factor. I think now the Ge is more sensitive to so-called "demand". So essentially if there are for instance 1k people who have put in a bid for torstol at max this will cause the prices to increase. Before I suspect the threshold for a price increase would have been 10k bids. There are relatively few torstols though and there are a lot of people stockpiling supplies for when they do level a skill. The torstol price increases are pretty crazy though. From the seeds price of 2k pre-herblore update to the high's of 100k I never thought they would increase yet again to 150k+. There is also just a lot of GP floating around RS. Serious inflation. The sensible solution is that Jagex should tweak the drop rates and drop more herb seeds.
  3. Actually one of the member benefits advertised by Jagex itself is: Regular content updates This doesn't have to be weekly. Even a bi-weekly new content update would be welcome but it's not happening. All of you jumping up and down in happiness at patch notes are Jagex fans. A few years ago patch notes were not even a big deal. Now they are being promoted as content. It's a joke. Holiday events are supposed to be small and give a small costume reward. Now holidays are promoted as real content. It's a joke. All of last year was dedicated to improving the game and fixing the existing skills. A few skills were tweaked last year, and this year a few more skills have had minor updates. None of the skills were majorly changed or majorly improved this is all small fixes. Plus a lot of skills have not even been touched. Some skills have no guilds. All skills should have guilds, why isn't there a fletching or farming guild? Sheer laziness on Jagex's part. The question remains where exactly is all of the real gp we pay for members going?! Certainly not to new updates and new content so far this year. It's been a very quiet year. I shake my head at updates like constituition where the benefits are for new players who get bored easily(!) and nothing was rolled out for exisiting loyal players. Combat needs a complete re-work, constitution could have been the first phase. Instead they admitted that there is nothing developed for constitution but they are willing to listen to player suggestions and ideas... Ridiculous. There's a new skill on its way, I have no hopes for it. I remember when there used to be two skils released per year, now one new skill is being overhyped. The only thing I want to see is RSC quests wrapped up in my lifetime. I don't care about any other content. Because frankly I don't like the new content apart from the new prayers. Strykworms have to be killed while on a task. This was a slap to 99 slayers. New imps and better exp but Puro Puro was enlarged so there are fewer more spread out imps. The costume isn't that great. Herblore combat potions while I don't mind that these aren't tradeable I wish they were able to be made with assist. What's the point of a high herblore level when the only way you can profit from it is to do godwars. If they were assistable they could be introduced to pvp which makes things more interesting.
  4. 4. Because of the dysfunctional GE, whenever things start to go up in price, people stop selling hoping it will be worth more later. Then it crashes and the cycle repeats. I agree the Ge is dysfunctional. At the moment normal essence is selling at max. It just seems wrong somehow that my new pure is earning so much profit so easily so fast. Then again I'm not complaining. The question is pretty much resolved. I don't think it's being merched. Maybe it is actual demand.
  5. I was only asking about normal regular f2p essence. Pure essence is still priced fairly and not even close to its high of nearly 200 coins after trade restrictions. I've just never seen f2p essence hit almost 100 gp each. Seems very overpriced it was stable at around 50-60 gp each for a long time. The bots being banned sounds plausible. I'm mining pure essence on my pure and no one seems to be a bot atm. There are too many runecrafting bots though. At water, air and earth alters especially. I wonder if those bots are pushing up the regular ess prices.

  7. I wish the squirrel ears at least came with squirrel tails. I wish the events focussed on fun, not just doing random things and walking here and there. It seemed like those quests I dislike where it's just prolonged without reason. Also this was the first year I was planning on skipping the event but some friends pursuaded me to do it. Because it's a tradition now that we do RS events together. I wish that RS holiday events were shorter and more interactive with other players rather than NPC's because I do the event to catch up with RS friends. I honestly don't see the point in events anymore because I never even wear the holiday items. If they never did another holiday event I woudln't care. Please do not encourage them to do the management game! It's boring after you play it a few times and requires absolutely no thought.
  8. One week is plenty of time. It could even be a two-week rocks resetting timeframe to be more fair. It's a D&D it should reset rocks not just the statue. This was a major flaw in it's design. Also why make an option not to receive rocks when I can't receive any more rocks anyhow unless I train skills I hate. I've gotten a few sets of rocks for the few skills I train.
  9. It seems like common sense for the statue and rocks to reset weekly. Instead only the statue resets only. I would have said it's a glitch but it seems to be intentional. I don't want to train all 13 skills. This d&d forces you to. I would have preferred if the whole thing reset weekly so that I could get a little bit of experience at least for the skills I do train. For now I'm just ignoring it, haven't even finished my first statue.
  10. Are you congratulating them for finally releasing the range and mage version of the slayer helm? It's only 4 years late. It should have been released with the original slayer helm.
  11. Farming is a perfect example of a skill that has too much content at the lower levels. Below lvl 60 - 43 seeds Level 60+ 5 seeds Level 70+ 5 seeds Level 80+ 2 seeds If you take a look at any skill besides summoning there is far too much content at the lower levels. If there was an update implemented that linked experience directly to your skill level it would make so much more content playable. For instance if you were level 90 farming then potato seeds would give as much experience as planting a torstol seed. As it is now there is so much content that is just not used by the majority of players who power level using a few boring powerleveling methods. It's the same with all of the armour sets unlocked if you have 40 defense vs 60 defense vs 70 defense. 40 defense has the most to pick from when it should be the other way around. If the goal was to have content be used. The focus just should not be lower level or even mid-level content. Runescape is overflowing with content for those levels at this point.

  14. Just for you Waheehra1 The first article was amateur, and terrible as all it did is say this is great, oh sure there are one or two minor flaws but this is GREAT content. I like rainbows and Jagex. Terrible effort. To write so much and say so little. Especially nothing that was said in that article was new. The second article is much better as it has an opinion and is generating discussion. Some fresh ideas were presented, although overall I don't agree with the second articles author. It seems like they want RS to turn into WOW.
  15. Exactly this is false advertising. Normal dungeons do not have so many spawns. I wish all the normal dungeons had this faster respawn feature. Then it wouldn't be a struggle fighting other players for monsters while slaying or having to log into the fullest worlds for faster respawns. I also hate the death animation it's far too long.
  16. They already are two seperate games. P2P is far more complex and rich in content than F2P. F2P is the RS for dummies version Having said that Jagex should really do more to help new players entering members I had friends to show me the ropes or else I would have been lost and would have quit members
  17. i'm not sure how many true new level 3's will even do this quest it should simply be the next part of the tutorial island directly when new account are created it seems like false advertising as the catacombs are literally crawling with monsters to fight how many other dungeons in rs come even close to having that many monsters of the same type??? why is it that level 85 slayers have to compete to access abby demons at the slayer castle? there aren't that many abby demon spawns to start with its stupid and the # of people with 85 slayer just increases daily. also the catacombs are not that noob friendly why is there that super long walk to actually reach the monster dungeon part? they should make a simple shortcut so that you are immediately where the monsters are when you enter where xenia is i didnt kill any monsters but are there fires and do the monsters drop meat to cook? the little goblin hut with the fire beside the fishers across the lummy bridge seems more like a true noob friendly training spot. if the monsters autoattacked this would be a good dungeon for lvl 5-30 to even train, why can't there be a toggle option to make monsters auto attack?
  18. Are we playing the same game? The game has far too much content at mid-level just look at all the armour choices if your defense is 40. The game needs more high-level content, of course there isn't enough. For years jagex has been catering to the mid-level player and now they are catering to the newbs. High levels got a FEW updates after months of neglect. It's not enough at all. It's traditional in this game to level up on cows, and it's cute and it earns good gp if you bank hides and the meat. The time it takes to level from combat lvl 1 to combat lvl 20 is so short that making special content just to speed that along is dubious. They are also the main reason hp was changed which affects all players gameplay.
  19. I disagree with the whole idea of bonus xp weekend. Your poll didn't provide that option to vote for. :angry: After having done this I hope they go back and rework some parts of the game. For instance quest rewards could be vastly improved. Their new skill better be easy to level as they seem to be moving towards that direction anyhow. Why is it that those who work the hardest to get a 99 first are almost punished? With this weekend at least summoning and herblore char's with 99 before this weekend should have been given something to compensate for all their extra work. It's just not fair. Overall the weekend was technically well-implemented without bugs which is huge. However the weekend was thoughtless in that they didn't take into account skills that are fast to lvl such as summoning. I did love the bonus xp counter, it was well-designed and I hope they keep it within the game as a general xp counter that would be cool. Also nice to see the time played.
  20. The main reason F2P looks empty is because Jagex has added so many new servers. I think the number of servers for F2P could easily be halved. The reason Farmville is successful is because its fun interactive and it takes a short time daily to play it. RS is NOT fun. The gameplay is too inconsistent. Higher levels don't matter as much either anymore look at the new slayer monster that you need to have as a task to slay. That was a direct slap to 99 slayers. Notice how the number of players online is steady and even a bit lower with double exp weekend? It's because players are concentrating on their one account not double logging like normal. Runescape players online numbers are often skewed as there is double logging by the same player and there are now bots again as well. So it is true that the number of true players is lower now overall. Jagex has noticed RS is not the only browser game now. There are lots more options for new players. RS is slowly dying. Changes are pushing away loyal players and the new players who they are trying to attract may or may not stick. It's a gamble at this point. Personally I think the smart thing for Jagex to do is to learn from RS and implement those changes in their new game that they are developing. RS does not need the new changes like catering to new players and giving double exp weekends. That is not what RS players expect. They are shedding loyal players at a fast rate and there needs to be changes to stop that. The game needs more higher level content. Also RS is becoming very schizophrenic. The Nomad's Requiem quest reward gave experience to any combat skill except summoning. Now with the double exp weekend people are easily getting an extra 4 million summoning exp in one hour. This is just one example of how inconsistent the gameplay is and it just frustrates players.
  21. That's what I assumed, but it's different. Just try killing things you will see. I automatically take the 0's off my hits and the monsters hits on me, and comparing it the old hitpoints there is a difference. I don't appreciate that it actually takes longer to kill things now. This is even more obvious when you are attacking lower level monsters. Plus it is incredibly annoying to see 0 hits. Especially when that was given as one of the reasons for this change.
  22. You still hit plenty of 0's. It's very annoying. Even with 99's. The combat system needs to be re-worked. Defense needs to be improved. Attack has to equal rare if any 0's being hit. Attack has to affect magic and range as well to balance the combat triangle. The underlying problems with HP being capped at 99 have not changed by adding a zero to the end of it. The other thing that is a pet peeve of mine is when you're killing a monster and they drop nothing. Every monster kill should have a drop besides just bones. There is no need for an empty drop table especially when the bulk of drops are left on the ground by players. I don't ever pick up coin drops etiher especiallly with the long unneeded death animations so many monsters have now. It would be nice if coin drops could just automatically appear in your inventory in fact, tedious clicking isn't fun.
  23. Has anyone else noticed that it takes longer to kill things now? My hit's seem lower than normal. I've factored in luck, however a string of 5 zero's in a row when I have 99 strength and attack? It's not acceptable. The good part is I seem to be eating less food, however slower kills is annoying.
  24. That's just grasping at straws to explain this change. They could already have done that with the HP skill. Sara brews already work like that. Rocktails heal beyond your HP.
  25. Everything is just multiplied by a factor of 10. Their development blog doesn't even touch on this. The main reason that many players wanted to see a HP change so that we can weapons that hit higher. Nothing is really different. It's HP under a different name, with a seperate HP bar .
