  1. I just thought of a way we could make this better. Everybody start promoting killing water elementals in the Elemental Workshop as good low-lvl training. They drop vials of water 100%, so noobs could make a profit off of those too.
  2. I've got a small station orbiting Oruguma and a couple ships heading towards Zhoreuc.
  3. Okay, to heck with this. I pass a law giving benefits to those with more children. As a result, my growth rate climbs to 3%. Because nobody's saying that Hex's 4% growth rate is too high, so that means that my previous growth rate of 0.1% is wayyyy to low.
  4. Yes, but 10,000,000x1.04=10,400,000 and 10,000,000x0.14=1,400,000 Either way, that's a disgustingly huge growth rate. Mine's at 0.001 growth rate, and that's WITH a project that was used to improve tourism. So either my growth rate is a great deal lower than it should be, or Hex's is way too high.
  5. Random daily update time, oh joy! Acceleration Engine: 15/18 Electric Shield: 15/20 New Hope Space Station: 15/27 TONSIL: 8/10 Ion Weaponry: 6/7 Project Freon: 6/15 Station at Oruguma:4/6 (I rounded it up so I don't have to keep track of post times) Military Pods: 3/18 Colony on Zhoeruc: 2/4 Another section of New Hope is up, containing showers and civilian quarters. The Military Pod researchers have finished coming up with a plan, and are now building the pods. They will build 30 pods in the 15 years of research time remaining, some with capabilities of being piloted by conscious fluids, some being piloted by humans, and some being remote-control piloted. Also, I may have forgotten to mention this, but the two Mini-Hopes colonizing Zhoreuc will stay there after the colony is complete as security. The Acceleration Engine researchers have found a way to negate the magnetic effect generated by the extra-efficient module. They are now working to see if they can make this module even MORE efficient. However, the plans for the current module are being distributed to all the Mini-Hopes, in hope that they will have the spare parts necessary to construct one. The Project Freon scientists have bought the clones from Rpg (why the heck did I put Dusty?) as infants, and will make them into conscious fluids by next year. They are also starting research to see if they can come up with any other species than the conscious fluid. A bit for info on the acceleration engine module (now going to be called the AEM for short) and the ion weaponry: The AEM is about the size of a mattress, and manages to negate most resistance in wires within about 30 feet. Also, the AEM can carry an electric current with no resistance whatsoever, causing more voltage to be delivered to the target, and thus, higher electric efficiency. The ion weapons have many different capabilities. The ion pistol, while the strongest, can only make a hole with a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of a quarter if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. However, this hole can continue down a good 10 feet in concrete. This weapon has an approximate fire time (how long the ion beam lasts per cartridge) of 2 seconds and has a cooldown of 5 seconds. The ion rifle makes a hole with a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of a CD, and this hole goes down a good 5 feet in concrete if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. It has an approximate fire time of 5 seconds, and has a cooldown time of 30 seconds. It is worth noting that the rifle is more accurate than the other two. The cannon, once finished, will make a crater the size of... well, I can't think of an object comparison, but the hole would be about 10m in diameter. The hole would go for 2 feet in concrete if the weapon is not moved during the usage of one cartridge. It has a fire time of about a minute, and has a cooldown of 2 minutes.
  6. Yep, they're a nice player that frequents RSOF. :^_^: A nice player on the RSOF? HERESY!
  7. The long and short of this is: They're censored because A ) The community isn't mature enough to use them in a non-insulting manner, B ) Because some most people would get sick and tired of getting called "gay" every time that someone fails to steal their spot, and C ) it doesn't really matter. If you're stupid/odd/desperate/what have you to say you're gay on an Internet site where half of the "females" are guys being idiots, then you should probably be doing something else.
  8. Frankly I lol'ed at this: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/Vial_of_water/viewitem.ws?obj=227 And this: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/Eye_of_newt/viewitem.ws?obj=221 It's probably Jagex trying to make it so that Herblore is affordable for the lazy players, and making it so that Herblore is impossible to train in the process. GF Jagex.

What the hell is that? I just remembered one of the best candies ever, PEEPS!! S'more + waffle. Trust me, it is EXTREMELY sugary, especially the way I make it. Also, Peeps + microwave = win.
  10. Jehosaphat replied to Skull's topic in Off-Topic
If we're talking about food, I probably shouldn't mention the sugariest thing on Earth - also known as the Sm'affle....
  11. No, I don't want mather's slaves. And frankly this whole "clone vs. slave" argument is getting old. My reason now is that I don't want to share the conscious fluids with you two.
  12. No. These are not capable of voluntary movement of any sort, nor are they made up of millions of tiny bacterias. And the only growing they ever do is directly after mitosis, so the visible organism cannot grow any larger by merely having bits of it reproduce.
  13. "Only slightly?" They've got a good 50 IQ points on humans. Easily. Also, they may be easy to kill, but they reproduce easily, and, if necessary, can have "forced reproduction" - kill them in a natural way so that they reproduce even faster. And they have better reflexes as well.
  14. Well, as for your last point, they don't use stupid words like cleverer, instead favoring expressions like "more clever". I just didn't want to look it up and wanted to make a post quickly Question still stands. Question still answered. *points up* But in case you need me to answer again... 1) They move by either flowing downhill or by having humans carry them around in containers. 2) They don't support themselves, humans have to feed them, etc. And if you're talking physically they do it the same way water supports itself in any other container. 3) They're smarted, probably because electricity is conducted faster in the fluid that they are made up of, so they can think faster and have faster reflexes as well, making them ideal pilots.
  15. Uhh, that station isn't New Hope. That station is currently unfinished and unnamed. But when it is finished, I'll call it the "Excalibur."
  16. How would DNA difference be important? They could all have the same DNA, and it wouldn't matter. Perhaps I should go a bit more into how the conscious fluids work so we don't have to continue arguing. Conscious fluids will be a race on their own cared for by humans. They produce asexually, in the way that when one "dies" through natural causes, it splits into two new fluids that have no recollection of memories of the previous fluid. Sort of like mitosis. Also, they can change color to match their mood. They're basically (once I get them to exist) humans, in the fact that they will have emotion, intelligence, memories, etc. They will have no eyes, and only barely be able to hear, but will instead be able to communicate with other fluids and their environment with electric pulses, meaning that with some development, they could be very good ship pilots. They will have no income of their own, but will be fed and housed by the government. They are also more intelligent than humans, meaning that they realize that they're basically helpless without humans, and so they do what the humans (Napta, in this case) want. They also realize that they are very susceptible to the elements. Also, it is possible to kill one - just freeze it, evaporate it, pour it on the ground and let it starve, etc. So they'll basically be slaves, but slaves that I treat really, really nicely. And in exchange, they will pilot ships and possibly be used for specialized mineral sensing equipment. *imagines jar of blue liquid sitting in a pilots chair* It'd be more like bowl of blue liquid with wires in it, actually. XD Edit: Hex, to answer your questions: 1) They either flow downhill as most liquids do, or humans carry them around in jars/bowls/various other containers. 2) They don't. They require humans to feed them, move them, etc. 3) They're smarter. Probably something to do with how liquids impede some electrical signals less than solids. They also have a faster reaction time.

I'd rather pay to keep these "people" in my nation than to get them free but have them distributed everywhere. Also, if anyone's interested in buying a fluid frog, bat, rat, cat, etc. Napta is willing to sell those. They aren't very good with ships or equipment, but they do make good pets. And they can help you with your algebra homework! :P
  18. I don't understand what you're getting at. With clones, the only history they really have is being grown, and so if I treat them nicely, they'll be more loyal. With slaves, they remember being enslaved for their whole life. And if someone's been enslaved their whole life, then they're not exactly going to be happy about the fact that they can be sold.
  19. These would not be experiment-clones, these would be final-result clones. Meaning they'd be what I'd actually use. And I'd rather have expensive clones that are loyal to me than cheap slave/clones that may turn against me at any moment.
  20. You can have one houndred of my slaves for free if you share whatever you get of this with me and Hex. Although you would have to come and get them, if you agree to this tell me when you are approaching. Sorry, but no. I would prefer that the race of conscious fluids stay with Napta. And I want to use people that are likely not to turn against me, given that conscious fluids retain their previous memories and attempt to continue to have the same behaviors.... it wouldn't end well. Not to mention if one of the fluids were to somehow manage to escape, then it'd basically just flow downhill until it was eaten, starved, or taken by the enemy. Edit: Ah, okay. I had just forgotten who was selling clones. :P
  21. Am I the only one thinking that Hex's 10% growth rate is a bit too much? Unless he changed it and I just missed the post.... Anyways, updates: Acceleration Engine: 14/18 Electric Shield: 14/20 New Hope Space Station: 14/27 TONSIL: 7/10 Mini-Hopes: 5/5 Ion Weaponry: 5/7 Project Freon: 5/15 Station at Oruguma:3/6 (I rounded it up so I don't have to keep track of post times) Military Pods: 2/18 Colony on Zhoreuc: 1/4 Another section of New Hope is up, containing ion rifles and half of a ship production facility. The last 4 Mini-Hopes are done, and 2 have been sent to the asteroid field to assist the other two in finding somewhere for New Hope. The other 2 have been sent to Zhoreuc with 1,000 people each and supplies to establish a small colony. They should be there and have the colony set up in 4 years. Two Mini-Hopes have arrived at Oruguma and have begun setting up a small station. Two different Mini-Hopes have been searching the asteroid fields, and have in the process found a new element. This element, being called "Cryonite" by the crew, has a very low melting point (around -20 Celsius) and seems to retain its shape well. Further research will be done when the Mini-Hopes return samples to Iceland. The Project Freon scientists have managed to make conscious fluids out of a variety of creatures, and are now sure that it would work on humans. Needless to say, many people would be rioting if I used actual citizens, so if anyone's producing clones, could I order a hundred with no modifications?
  22. I'd do the quest, but it appears that there are no rewards related to what I'm training right now (melee), so I can't be bothered to stop my training to get one step closer to a cape I'm too lazy to get.
  23. Dusty, the map you posted is broken.
  24. Oh thanks. I was just trying to make a point on how you guys should just stop arguing. Research starts on military pods. The pods will take about $1 bil a year to produce for 15 years, with 3 years of research time tacked on to that. Afterwards, my shipyard in Iceland will be able to produce 2 per year, and the one orbiting Oruguma will be able to produce 1 every year. After the fisrt 18 years, they will cost about $25 million apiece.
  25. Who needs enemies when we've got allies like these, amirite?
