His parachute was cut. Nope. Hint: He isn't exactly the most intelligent person ever. And it has nothing to do with airplanes.

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Ooh thanks. The 15 billion is being put into a dozen ships (I nickname them "Mini Hopes"), approx. 1/10 the size of New Hope. By the time they're done, (which will be about 5 years) 12 billion of that will be used up. The other 3 billion will be used for research on how to defend said ships. The fellows who were experimenting with plasma rifles accidentally stumbled upon something interesting - ion rifles. Sadly, the ion rifle killed them because it went out of control. Iceland is now copying the makeup of this ion rifle, and is going to find a way to make it controllable and more powerful, and possibly make an ion cannon. This will be used as defenses for the ships along with possible future development with the electric shield, and will use up the other $3 billion given to me. So, research is now: Acceleration Engine: 10/18 Electric Shield: 10/20 New Hope Space Station: 10/27 TONSIL: 3/10 Mini Hopes: 0/5 Ion Weaponry: 0/7

Acceleration Engine: 10/18 Electric Shield: 10/20 New Hope Space Station: 10/27 TONSIL: 3/10 Next section of New Hope has gone up, conatining the main control room and bathroom. TONSIL is progressing well, the scientists have managed to make basic water molecules so far. The Acceleration Engine scientists have made it so that the efficient magnetic field no longer screw up any electronics, but there's still a problem. The powerful magnetic field now instead pulls any and all metal toward it. (Some poor scientist was wearing metal-rimmed glasses....) So now they're working on THAT.

The most Useless skill?
I'd have to say Smithing to be honest. "Congratulations, you reached level 75 smithing! You can now make armor you only used about 50 defence levels ago, along with a variety of weapons that nobody uses!" Smithing only has a "use" when you reach Rune, and that's smithing your own crossbows/bolts/whateverbecausenobodysellsitontheGE.

....OHHHHHHHH crap. My budget is in the billions. And that's just my RESERVES! How will I ever be able to afford that? Hmm..... I think I'll stick with just shifting my station's orbit once it's done so that it has an orbit around the Sun instead of trying for FTL. Just move it somewhere in the asteroid belt or something. EDIT: So even if a hugely catastrophic DNA-altering disaster occurs (such as what might happen if someone uses an EMP on my shield once it's done), nothing will happen?

Wait, so if it's not too overpowered, we can change our race through a catastrophic accident? Time to do a bit of sabotage on that magnetic motor experiment....

Ohh mad. so you're going for 99?
Right now, I'm working towards a lot of goals - 68 summoning, 85 melees, 84+ herblore, 80+ ranged, 60+ all stats - but I'm not going for 99 in ANYTHING. Heck, the only skill I might even TRY for 99 soon is Cooking, and that's just because the cape would match my skiller outfit. (And because I'd get sick and tired of burning fish.)

I think people are just doing it. So everyone "magically" acquired FTL tech by abducting each others' research notes? no you were doing it you just didnt realize it  So THAT'S where that $15 trillion budget deficit came from... JK, of course. I say that my ninjas just took your notes, made copies of them, then returned them before your scientists had their morning coffee.

Yes, how much would the FTL tech cost, seeing as how I haven't researched it at all?

I would like to propose a treaty. It would be called the blast hex's planet out of existence pact. In essence we would both send ships in I would send in the praetorian which is 2/3 the size of the pax brittanica and is armed with fusion nukes ( only fission nukes are illegal) and you would send in your ship(s) armed with your new weaponry. We would proceed to scorch the surface of his planet to exterminate all life. Once I manufacture some unique weaponry, I'll sign it. Send in New Hope! (And you better believe that station's gonna be my headquarters in the space thread. Also believe that I'm going to be adding stuff on after it's built....)

President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize
Well there is your problem, that website shows GDP CTYD (gross domestic product calendar year to date), not GDP. And yes, there is an inordinate amount of debt. Bailouts/war being the most recent causes. I am morally a laissez-faire capitalist, meaning NO government intervention in the economy. However in practice I don't mind certain things being government run (roads, schools, police, military, courts). I find fear mongering about the debt to be a weak point of contention that people spout because other people on TV tell them to, and the comparison of debt to GDP being one of them. Debt and GDP can't be related like that, you need to compare debt vs total net worth (for example normal households in the US were worth a total of $44 trillion in 2000, that's not counting any business at all [many of which are worth 10s or 100s of billions themselves]). EDIT: Also I know not to double post, as you may have noticed I have been around quite some time before you (a year or two on the Scapeboard before this forum). I just figured someone else would post by the time I made that second. Well, GDP CYTD is how much money America's made this year. America's made 10 trillion, and the government has borrowed 3 trillion. I still don't want the government essentially promising 3/10 of what I've earned this year to foreign countries. And yes, businesses and households were worth trillions, HOWEVER, those can move overseas. A company sees "Oh ****, this government's going bankrupt! Let's move overseas as to not get caught while it falls." Same thing for citizens. Except that companies seem to be looking to the bankrupt people to pull them out of bankruptcy....

Politicians who will have to use political capital to push through climate legislation that lowers the competitiveness of domestic companies vs those abroad who don't have climate related restrictions? Yeah, there isn't a reason for them to want climate change to be true. It's worse for them if it is true. And the debt was just to point out you are wrong in saying we are worth $10 trillion, and have a debt of $11 trillion. $10 trillion is our "salary", not what we are worth. I make $15k a year but it is completely irrelevant to say I am worth $15k, the only thing it is good for is predicting how much your worth will increase. No it's not, it means that they can spend money on environmental things. Why they want to do that, I'm not sure. Okay, so I mis-worded with the "more than what we're worth" bit. My point still stands - we're in too much debt as it is, and the government spending money like there's no tomorrow isn't helping. Some of it's the fault of previous Presidents (Medicare, Social Security, etc.) but the 3 trillion this year was all passed through Congress and Obama. And I sure as heck don't want some politician saying that he's gonna pay 3/10 of the money I've made to a different politician elsewhere. Edit:First, don't double-post. Second, where are you getting your numbers? I'm getting mine here: www.usdebtclock.org

Hey Hey! Racist Red Faces?
I'm pretty sure it's just Americans.Glad the rest of the world can still take a joke. Some Most American do... I'm just mad that people are mad about this. What, mad that people are mad about the video, or mad that people are mad about the fact that people are mad about the video?

President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize
First off, we don't owe more than we are worth. GDP is gross domestic product, that is how much the country produces every year. About the climate change, obviously there are cycles. And through an increasing warming period there can be points where it gets colder, but the general trend is it getting warmer. The report by the IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) http://www.grida.no/publications/other/ipcc_tar/?src=/climate/ipcc_tar/wg1/index.htm shows this. http://royalsociety.org/displaypagedoc.asp?id=20742 This link is to a paper that is the joint product from EVERY NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE of the major industrialized nations (the ones who have the most to lose). So, do I trust the scientists of every major country of the world who are all experts in climate change, or some kid on a forum? Yes, and currently the debt is 11 trillion versus the 10 trillion GDP. 1 trillion of that is being taxed. So if we all send all the money we make to our government's debtors, then we'll just be 1 trillion in the hole. But we'd all be dirt poor, and easily conquerable by pretty much anyone. (not to mention the fact that the government made all the loans in dollars. So they may end up just printing 11 trillion dollars to pay off the debt, and making the value of the dollar plummet to its value as toilet paper. We'd be just like Germany before WWII, sans the great-speech-making man with the possibility of becoming dictator... oh... wait.....) Edit: Also, the current debt achieved this year recently passed 3 trillion. Would you like to have some politicians sending 3/10 of what you make overseas? And that's just if they decide to pay off what they're done this year, which they probably won't. And the question is not do you trust the scientists, but do you trust the politicians who pay the scientists to publish results in a specific manner?

[hide=2] Wild guess, but he either fell out of a hot air balloon or was attached to a balloon which popped? [/hide] [hide=3]The man drove on to the beach, than high tide came and his car was trapped underwater. He banged on the windows to get out, but was unsuccesful and sufficated?[/hide] [hide=4]Another guess: The man was lost and fired his flare gun straight up (or was hunting), but the loud gun sound caused an avalanche which crushed him.[/hide] 2 is wrong, but 3 and 4 are right.

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
This is just stupid. I finally see a reason to have 72 herblore (just so that I'm closer to the potions than half of RS), and Jagex kicks it upside the head. Seriously, something BESIDES str/range pures would've finally stood a chance in PvP. But NO, Jagex couldn't stand to anger the 2% "WE PAY TO PK" minority. <_< Now all it's useful for is bosshunting, which I'm incapable of doing anyways because my levels are too low. GF. And taking it out of minigames? WTH? It's not like having a Cwars brace gives you an advantage there, it's not like the time (and money if you wanted it fast) you took to get high attack/strength/defence matters there, either! Tl;dr: Way to screw over the patient, well-rounded people, Jagex.

President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize
Ya know the most annoying part about this? The award nominations were back in February - he had been in office for what, two weeks? So they based his nomination off of promises, and we all know what happens when you base everything off of what someone promises to do (especially someone who lies as much as a politician...(and especially one who promises to reduce government spending and then throws out a trillion-dollar "bailout". So now the government debt is higher than the USA's GDP. Not the money brought in by the IRS, but the GDP as a whole. We owe more than we're worth.)) But I don't really care anyways. The Nobel Peace Prize lost its meaning to me back when Al Gore got it for his video that he completely ignored when designing his own house. Basically, they gave it to a hypocrite for being a hypocrite. Way to go, Nobel Council! Edit: Lol. Every scientific organization in the world agrees that global warming exists and is attributed to human factors (or they are non-committal, NONE have dissented). You DO know they've changed it to "climate change" because it's getting colder now, right? And that there are multiple scientific organizations who have come up with the theory that Earth's general temperature has a tendency to cycle and/or the organization just didn't give a crap? Get your facts straight before you generalize about scientists.

Acceleration Engine: 9/18 Electric Shield: 9/20 New Hope Space Station: 9/27 TONSIL: 2/10 Next section of New Hope has gone up, containing supplies and the living quarters for the astronauts. I decide to put $100,000,000 more per year into the shield project, causing it to have a shorter deadline. Other than that, Iceland's been pretty dull. Oh, and relating to this contract for the paradise planet - I have no spaceships (unless there were some in what Dusty left me), so my only piece of space tech right now is the New Hope station. So I don't really see a reason for me to need to sign a colonization treaty.

Hey Hey! Racist Red Faces?
Ugh, the next time I head the word "racist" I'm going to slap myself in the face. Seriously, we've done plenty to apologize for having their ancestors in slavery (as if that affects them at all...). Heck, half the scholarships off the PSAT are distinctly for blacks, and the other half are for those who score absurdly high. There are people who are blatantly racist, and that I'm against. But saying that something's racist when it's not intended to be is another example of.... SOCIETY BEING STUPID! I should seriously make a gameshow about that. Or one of those "inspirational posters." Riddle me this....
I has riddlez for you all. So you're in a room with no doors, no windows, no openings of any kind. There's a mirror, a board, and a baseball bat. What are 2 ways you could get out? A man is dead in the middle of a field attached to nothing but a rope. How did he die? A man goes for a drive one day. The next day he is found dead in his car by the police. His car is found on the beach, and the only visible wounds were bruises on his fists. How did he die? A man is found dead at the base of a mountain with a gun. The gun only fired one round, but yet the man has no bullet wounds. How did he die?
