Nothing beats a good ol' fashioned nuke. And when they're too close to use a nuke, you obviously didn't use your nukes well enough. Still, in that scenario, it's probably time to break out the napalm.

I think mine is one of the few avatars that isn't (and probably can't) be modified to have a santa hat on it.

When it comes to weaponry, my favorite would have to be a grenade launcher. IT CAN RAIN DEATH IN SO MANY WAYS! Aside from more modern weaponry, I'd probably take an arbalest or something.

Skipped from page 2324 to here. Did that creepy Halo clone-thing do anything important? I'm too scared for my eyes to look.

Dungeoneering Again
And I missed another session to my school blocking IRC. <_< Thank goodness I won't have to deal with THAT for 2 weeks or so.

Wow, you guys really ARE desperate for a new Hegemony game. I'm thinking of having the combat mechanic work mildly like Battleship - except your ships have a limited range based on weapons... and whether or not you hit is decided on a dice roll and some base accuracy factor of the weapon. That is, once you guys recover from the anthrax apocalypse caused by Emress Jen and start the re-venture into space.... So I'm going to assume that all your citizens have a natural resistance to bioweapons, and depending on where you start, you get a mild bonus in certain situations. Cash system will be based on a GDP/reset system... sort of. You have a per capita GDP, which is raised/lowered based on conquering, current political state of the nation, and population. You then take a percentage of the people's income, which depending on the rate, may or may not cause a revolt. GDP increases only happen at an update. Updates will occur daily(ish), and will be when the government takes their taxes from the people, take a census, and basically get a news report of everything happening around the world. Presumably, 1 day = 1 year. Thus, updates happen once per year. Research will be done through "Research Points", which can be bought with some of your tax money. Each project takes 10 points to research, and starts at level 0 once researched. The formula for finding how much researching a project at any point until the next reset will be X^2 where X is the amount of levels you want to increase in up to level 10. After level 10, it takes (X+10)^2 research points, but will spontaneously evolve Pokemon-style into something related, but better, every time you do a research on it. Beware, however - too many research projects will make the people suspicious, which will cause a revolt, civil war, mass paranoia, etc. Everything will be balanced by the mod. Devoting tax dollars to infrastructure and related stuff may or may not give you eventual benefit. I'm still thinking about that. Excess tax dollars will be listed as "for jettisoning sandwiches" on the yearly governmental finance reports. A sandwich-jettisoning expense that's too high will result in your people thinking the government is wasting their money, and you get a revolt. You start as a city (of your choice), and your goal is... well.... TO TAKE IT ALL. Anything I'm forgetting, besides that this is probably going to eat my life regardless of any plans to prevent such?

Hmm... I think I've got a basic history and province mechanic down (I'm making up a separate history to have it occur 90-odd years from now to prevent some flow issues with current events). Still working on a combat mechanic... and the deficit mechanic... and the random event mechanic.

.....I guess I could TRY running a Hegemony, but I can't allow it to eat my life like what happened back when I played Original Hegemony. BRAINSTORMING TIME FOR STORK

So, I was thinking about making (yet) another game. But this time, I'm going to ask - what do you guys want to play? I want what I'm modding to be something that's good enough for you guys to nag me to continue modding it if I try to slack off :P

So how about we just term it as "hey, these guys have computers instead of brains" and move on?

14-Dec-2010 - Damage Soaking and New Hitsplats
So, who else expected Jagex to do something crappy like this? All this does is mess PvP up some more, and maybe save a brew dose or two on boss trips. WHOOP DE FRICKIN' DO. Yes, I am madbro. I was actually hoping they wouldn't do the "herpderp over 200" thing again... but I expected them to anyways.

I think I got turned into the literal god-damned Bat-Man. Sans wings. Let's see... my visor had nightvision capabilities already, although I guess I'll have to modify it now to make everything darker so I don't end up with "OH GOD MY EYES ARE BURNING" The claw should prove... interesting, to say the least. Oh, and I hate the Swiss now too. So that makes the Swiss, the Russians, to a mild extent the Britons (from that incident on the Sere)... So the only people I'm going to end up NOT hating are Unity crewmembers. ....Wait... our two highest-class officers (sans Nero) are currently AIs? The next session should prove highly interesting. I may have to design a few robots for Jeremiah and Drake to take over...
