08-Feb-10 - Musical Update & Strykewyrms
My problem with the fire cape as a slayer items is the fact that all other slayer specific items are available from either slayer masters or buyable through the GE (or both) whereas this requires a good internet connection (not a problem for me, but is for many) and 1-2 hours of time devoted to getting what I consider a useless item. The only reason I don't have a huge problem with the fire cape requirement is because it was becoming some what useless for most things.

08-Feb-10 - Musical Update & Strykewyrms
I was playing in standard detail with all of the things at max for about 20 minutes then the game crashed...... It isn't my computer having a problem because it can handle HD without this happening. Has anything similar to this happened to anyone else? My friends say they're having lags problems in standard detail at max.

Just how useful is the staff for things other than slayer and pvp? Is it better than a void mace and claws of guthix+charge?

Farming
Yes you did. I got the 50 seeds from your original post, which you used that and one other example to claim, not ask, that there was no correlation between level and yield. That's called an example. I don't see anywhere in my post that I called it a test. Btw since when is this a scientific study sent out to prove something with "credible results". It's in the rants forums not the bugs and suggestions forum for a reason. (If somehow you don't know the reason it's because it's not a suggestion it's just a rant)

Herblore Training
That's what I said when I decided I'd farm all my toadflax for 85 maybe 88 herblore but then I figured out that selling the herbs and buying different herbs for better gp/xp would be a much better idea. Only problem with that is it's an extra ~9m for that 3k less mixings doing unf, about 2 hours of work, or an extra ~5m doing herbs to pots, about 3 hours of work. Spending that much extra money for a few hours (2-3) doesn't seem worth it unless you make about 3m/hour.

Herblore Training
Right now the best gp/xp pots to make that are worth making are prayer potion, super energy, and super attack. All about the same gp/xp going for herbs to potions. I say worth making because they're the only decent gp/xp that aren't insanely slow xp/hour. Here's a link to the spreadsheet I used to find these gp/xp if you want to look at it yourself. spreadsheet This is from a guide in the archive of wisdom

Strange power
#-o Tbh, I haven't seen anywhere where it says it wasn't an earthquake so let him call it what he wants. For all we know, earthquakes haven't been felt before by the NPCs on Rs so to them it could be a strange power... So a Jmod posting that it was DEFINATELY NOT an earthquake is not enough for you? Back on topic; I found the first decent rsof thread on the same subject. He thinks like me >.< Qfc; 16-17-972-58841613 I cba to search back through the whole of this thread, but from what I remember they said it wasn't related to Haiti. Which to me means its not some way for them acknowledging what had happened. With so little information it could be a coincidence that the two events occurred in such a short space of time. Feel free to find the image to prove me wrong but I'm going to bed now. G'night. Look at any picture on this thread and you'll find that it was not an earthquake. Nothing shook, nothing moved, the only thing that happened was players floated up with a red glowing thing around them and got a weird message in there chat box.

Multi-coloured whips
That makes no sense at all. They don't just have a bunch of updates lying around just waiting for them to install them every week. I seriously doubt jagex has two different updates just sitting there waiting to be installed and were planning on releasing them one week apart just because they can. My point is jagex probably doesn't have updates ready weeks in advance so they can just use one to replace another one that got postponed. What YOU said doesn't make sense. Do you really think that they finish each update right before they release it? Of course not. They likely have a long queue of updates ready to ship out according to their schedule. I would guess they probably have at least three fully completed updates sitting in a pile that they test one week in advance of being released. Really, they could have the entire year's updates already finished but of course they're not going to release them all at once, since some people only play when the game gets updated, meaning if they release them spread out, those people will come back every week rather than just blowing through the new content all at once. Obviously that isn't true if they had to postpone an update because it wasn't finished.... If they did every update weeks in advance wouldn't this one be finished? You're saying they have a long queue of game updates ready, but why would this be in that if it wasn't finished. I'm not saying right before they update it but I doubt that they have a long queue of updates ready weeks in advance. But then again all we can do is guess because neither of us know for sure what jagex is doing.

Is Adventure and Risk still a part of RS?
Risk pretty much disappeared when they added danger signs to pretty much every place that there is a chance of getting killed.

95-99 def at armored zombies.
Use anything but barrows it's a waste at armoured zombies. Idk why bunyip didn't heal enough I did it with 90 defence only using piety and didn't have trouble. Did you bring an enhanced excaliber?

Farming
I know there has been no universal nerf and I never said there was..... :wall: I'm complaining about the lack of use farming level has in yield rates. I never said anything about a nerf.......... My whole point is farming level has nothing to do with yield rates. He has 95 farming, you have 87. He gets better yields than you do, and has higher farming. Your move. I have 22m farming xp, at least 15m of that is from farming herbs. Having a higher farming level has absolutely no bearing on your herb yield whatsoever. It's all luck. Finally someone who actually knows what I'm trying to say. I don't recall asking for permission to complain. And that's not even what I'm really complaining about. And come on 1k seeds.. That's 250 hours at the least amount of time. That's about 13 days doing 19 herb runs a day meaning for anyone but gertjaars it's a lot more than 13 days. If you can find someone that has actually tested that many seeds and kept a record of it I'd love to see it. I'm sure tons of people have farmed 1k seeds, actually I probably have, but I don't know of anyone who kept a record of herb yields doing 1000 seeds

Multi-coloured whips
I bet a couple of people at jagex got bored and just did this in there free time. You're right it probably only took like an hour lol I honestly don't see how anyone at all has any reason to complain about this.

He gets better yields than you do, and has higher farming. Your move. Look at the thread that I posted a quick find code for. It compares 95 farming to 82 I think it was. They tested 10 seeds of each herb and the lower level farmer actually turned out with a higher average yield out of all of the herbs combined. You should really look at it before responding to what I just said. After you look at that and how bladewing's results compare to mine tell me that farming level plays a role in yield rates. In there test the lower level farmer grew more herbs, Compare my results and bladewing's and the higher level farmer grew more herbs. Very inconsistent.

Strange power
The only big update that we know is coming for them too is the skill. Jagex could have completely hidden a future update without any hints there's no need for them to tell us everything.

Farming
I'd consider it bad luck if it was only 20 maybe 30 seeds but I'm now at 80 seeds and still at an average of 5-6 herbs per seed. Yes including My Arms patch. I don't think jagex would update farming like that with out some sort of announcement even if it was just in the patch notes. This thread on rsof pretty much proves that higher levels have very little or no effect on yield. Well at least it's the only thing I can find that actually did testing for this. 74-75-80-58949891

Farming
I didn't say there was a change and there wasn't a change to farming recently, not even in a long time. It's always been that farming level never really helped in herb yields. It's just starting to annoy me now thought because I never really cared before. If you're talking about the opposite as in higher level makes an increase, I never said it makes it decrease.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Sucks to be him but my guess is he has about 10 p hats..... and tons of cash to back up that loss.

Neitiznot vs. Verac for arma
Compared to only neitznotz, verac is better. You're probably seeing people using neitznotz over verac in pictures because it's about 4m cheaper.

95-99 def at armored zombies.
Not really with a bunyip and your defence you'll be fine. But more bunyip pouches would make the trips longer if that's what you want. Oh and if you have enhanced excaliber bring it.
