If Activision signed on we would have had Mechscape already! (I hope there's some people here who remember Mechwarrior....gawd I feel old). Seriously, I want Mechwarrior as an MMO...factions, mercenaries, salvaging weapons off your enemies and arenas! Bring on Mechscape!

What's going on with green p hats? I was gonna sell mine to buy 99 herblore and I see it's been updating like crazy in GE...are people dumping them or is something changing with GE (I've heard reports of weird GE behaviour)? I don't follow rares market close enough to know, thanks. Green phats:

Agreed. If anything, paying ticket holders should get more than just a lousy flag. I'm going to Blizzcon and our goodie bags have in game pets, toys, coupons, beta keys...bunch of cool stuff and it costs significantly less for me to fly to LA than London. I'll probably sell half that swag on ebay to pay for my hotel room/food. All you lucky guys and gals going to Runefest should get at least that much, i wouldn't be jealous because it's an incentive for you to buy a ticket! However if for next Runefest Jagex has a cool lootbag and exclusive stuff, I may go because i've always wanted to go to England and watch real football matches <3: And maybe meet some guildies, that's the highlight of it for me really.

I think they wanted to capitalize on the popularity of Facebook. But I think they were marketing to the wrong demographic. Facebook is great for sharing stuff with people you already know (at school, family, work, etc). But pimply gamers who raid for 6 hrs straight like their anonymity, they don't want people to see what they look like, they don't want people to see their frail self behind their internet bully facade. I know it's a generalization but I think we've all heard the players who throw tantrums and call everyone else f** while sounding like they are about 12. The sad thing is some of them are 30 year olds who can't manage their anger. Don't even get me started about guild drama... I give out my Facebook freely at school...but online? That's like inviting a serial killer to your house (maybe it's different for guys, I dunno).

Or you can let the other tricks sleep with them and merchant in the aftermath of another glorious update! (Every merchant worth their salt made money after BootGate).

It's possible to camp red in GE (because i've done it and I have the attention span of a gnat). Just keep in mind that red will keep rising (even if you're camping GE) so if you want one you should get it as soon as possible. If you flip items you can leave your offers in the GE and still go RC...win/win :thumbsup:

I love the idea of creating expensive untradeable items via smith/crafting, whether it be vanity items or untradeable armours and weapons. Like Ring World said it's optional, so haters have no reason to hate. It'll redistribute money from the rich to anyone willing to gather powerlevelling materials (since it'll require high levels in con/craft/smith/etc). And making materials buyable only from a NPC makes it a true moneysink. Might even make items like Bandos cheaper if the rich jump over to self-crafted items. I hope they implement this idea. I really hate the GE tax idea though. I'm taxed enough in real life as it is :rolleyes:

1) Gilded altar is definitely worth it, I just built one as well. 2) You don't need 69 construct to get gilded altar. From Runewiki: The gilded altar can be constructed as early as level 66, by using a crystal saw (obtained during the Eyes of Glouphrie quest, it allows you to build things 3 additional levels above your own level) and Spicy stew (this may possibly increase your level +6). In order to receive the +6 Construction bonus you must use three orange spices per stew. These stack to add a +9 construction bonus. Note that using Spicy Stew does not guarantee a +6 bonus. 6 construction levels will go by fast via penguin points and oak larders :thumbsup:

Choose a skill cape that matches your dream outfit. Like if you have a purple p hat like the person above me go with a thieving cape. If you like gilded armor get something with gold trim. Hey you'll be wearing it a lot, might as well match :thumbsup:

Great guide, but could you please put a disclaimer with your numbers guide that when it says "maybe if it was powered....", that is actually normal and to not reset? Just keep going with the puzzle. I tried your "bug fix" and it turned out that 2 pages letter I see a short post saying that it was normal and stops after a while. Dunno why Jagex would program that in like that, leads to confusion and resetting. Thanks for the guide though!

So I read the thing and still have no idea what this thing is. Thought it was capture the flag but it doesn't say so (what exactly are you defending? How does the opposition take your area?). How are individual points awarded (kill counters? Or just a mod standing there?). How long will it take (its the weekend lol). Maybe I play Team Fortress 2 too much but this looks like a mess. I'd like to know before I risk my equipment...what exactly am I fighting for?

I had this exact problem: When you turn the fan on, is the fan blowing? I had accidentally removed a cog from the wind machine so the machine was activated but nothing was blowing. Check if there's a small/medium/large cog in your inventory. Replace the cog (goes on the 'pin") and start the fan. The bar should turn white, then advance it to the claw section and you can pick up.

I may be revealing my age here but when I played Diablo II it had a Ladder mode that reset every season. The point was to see who could get to 99 fastest. It was seperate from the other servers (no trading with non-Ladder characters). Lots of people no lifed just to get a screen shot of their name at the top :rolleyes: People will play just to see their name at the top. Maybe they should give an incentive, like World of Warcraft, where the first person to 99 something gets a permanent title ("Master Crafter Usernamehere" etc) or maybe a special colour trim to the skillcape. There's a lot of achivements they could do for non skillers as well (first to kill all GWD bosses, top bounty hunter, etc). I think you might've given Jagex another million dollar idea ;)

When i'm skilling or monster killing it's on public cuz sometimes people like to ask to use gilded altar, or what's the best way to get 99 WC or whatever. Those people are usually nice, polite, and some even stay on friends after a while. Then you enter the cesspool known as THE GRAND EXCHANGE with your little Burger King hat on and then the resulting spam goes something like this: caniborrowphat?!?!plzplzplzhowumakemoneybarrowphat!omgitsnotevenyoursnoobnolifer etc etc. So for your own sanity, PM goes to friends only :]

+4 str vs nothing. Quite an easy choice :) Stats aside, D plate looks hideous on a girl. Hello 80's shoulder pads! Bandos is where it's at. Not to mention D plate has been steadily dropping while i'm able to merch BCPs with ease.

1) Prayer has been static for SO LONG that it is due for an update. Most other skills have evolved more efficient ways to train (eg. ivy, living rock caverns, barbarian fishing). 2) D Bones don't have to be phased out in order to affect prices. Dragons could drop more bones on death and that would flood the market (there's a whole skeleton FFS!) 3) A new FREE method could come out, such as a prayer D&D. If you think angry d bone collectors outweigh the players that will be glad for a cheaper way to train pray, think again. Penguin hide & seek is a great way to save on dbones already. 4) Bots...chaos tunnels are swarming with them. 5) Really? Jagex never makes items obsolete through updates? When's the last time you saw a dragon square shield in use? Jagex constantly updates their items with bigger and better items...it's an arms race. And people would pay for an advantage in prayer leveling. In fact, a new prayer bone is just what we need to fix the economy. I have been trying to buy higher bones for altar BUT THEY DON'T BUY. Many people have the money for 99 pray, what we lack is time. If Jagex offers a method that will drain money out of the game while speeding up my levelling, I'll sell my p hats for it.

Just wanted to chime in that Tip.It does NOT need Jagex' blessing...er, ranking...the site stands up on its own merits. People already know about the site and more are introduced everyday through word of mouth advertising. If Jagex wants to control off-site advertising, how do they expect owners to pay for bandwith? "Hello Mastercard? Do you accept 'love of the game' as payment?" I would think for a site and community like Zybez, it's a mark of prestige NOT to be chosen by Jagex. If only so they can say they stood up to The Man :thumbsup:
