No one is saying that it will. Just that the affect on f2p warring will be next to nothing because of how limited F2P combat is in terms of dealing damage. Which means most f2p warrers don't really care, if they've understood the article correctly. From the BTS article: P2P will receive the best of this because they need it the most. F2P will see it affect their graded armors; in fact, this is also rumored to be tied into the smithing revamp we've been expecting for a few months. So all tiers of armor will see this damage soaking (albeit it in very limited amounts), if the BTS can be taken at its word, but only members will be able to utilize this to the fullest.

I would wager that any "dinosaur" clan has been doing all styles longer than most of the clans have been alive. Just saying..... You are making the assumption that by dinosaur I mean old clans like THE. That is your fault, not mine. I am talking about those who insist on clinging to standards two years gone by, which I explained in my post. THE, obviously, is not one of them.

Well, they did say they listened to players opinions about the hitsplat thing so the chances of that one failing went from 50% to 49% :rolleyes:. Regardless, the defence update has been needed for a while and it's nice to see Jagex is doing something about the state of rushing PKing. I'm a little curious. Those old devblogs were so long ago, but from what I do remember, it seems like what they've described for these new hitsplats is exactly the same as before. What am I missing here?

Safe PvP wasn't in my mind when I made that point, and that's normally the only place you'd see gravite used. But sure, you're right in that it's frequently used in clan wars. So you'll have even more boring CWA fights unless, as other people have pointed out, you capitalize on styles. No one wants to have boring fights. All this update seems to hearken is that it will grab the outdated clans by the scruff and force them to get away from melee binds/range (or god forbid, simply melee/binds) and into all styles which has been the trend of the past 4 years anyway. Not a significant impact since most clans nowadays prefer to use two styles in fights. A bad tank isn't a bad tank because he gets combo'ed. He's a bad tank because he can't tank. Eating, detection, prayer switching, etc. So Average Joe will tank for an extra 30 seconds. That doesn't make him a better tank; he's still Average Joe (now with 30 second flavor!) because everyone else will get that same benefit.

It's almost like they planned the release time of this content, so they can coast on the buffer of most of their players being preoccupied so they can go back to producing some lower-key content (but equally important, like UI updates.)

Call of Duty has given FPS'es a bad name when they rehashed the same themed gameplay over and over and forced them out on a mindblowing scale. Modern Warfare was a nice break from it all, but then they hopped right back into the same forced-out patters with Black Ops to milk the cash cow for as much as its worth. There are a lot of great FPS games like Shiny listed that aren't the same thing over and over by virtue of its story, unique aspects, etc. OT: I've been keeping the house clean and tidy ever since thanksgiving, and Mom seems to have been taking it badly. She blew up over me putting rotini instead of fettuccine on to boil and somehow accused me of using the tidying about as a method of making her look bad in the eyes of my father. I'm very confused, so I've decided to lock myself up in my room until her insanity runs its course.

When someone asks them to elaborate, that's generally what they're driving at. Once you said the bird comment you could make the far-off connection if you remember the infrequent methods of travel like that. To reply with a request of clarification with something just marginally less vague than the first message seems like skirting around things for a questionable reason. I know it's not a bug, but I could not think of any other reason to be so intentionally obtuse.

F2P isn't going to see much of a change, it simply doesn't need much in the way of damage soaking and the wording in the bts implies that we will have access to only a tiny fraction of this damage soaking armor. The max hit with corr baxes is what, 28? 32 maybe? And these being so infrequent because of low str bonuses in f2p? It's P2P that will be the most affected by this. Depending upon its implementation, it could either further drive P2P into nothingness or actually spark new interest. It's always good to see a Chicken Little.

Do elaborate for us ;). I've done the quest, and I used the unlimited run to finish the choc-ice run, got me all the way to the Grand Tree before it ran out. Well, if you would have known about it before....let's just say you would be as high as a kite....or bird rather? :-k lol silent, same way i did it ;) Don't get why you guys aren't saying it's the Eagle Network when it could help people, unless you think it's a bug...in which case, you would've already admitted enough for abuse. I'm sure that's not the case, but it's a little agitating/mean spirited to string folk along.

It seems like logging out resets the 'melting' timer on your ice. Nope, seems like I just got lucky. God I hate this.

Just to let people know, you can't use this anymore. I tried twice, didn't work. Melted automatically.

Combines m'speak amulet and ghostspeak amulet, and you can add camulet to it too and ofc then load it with camel dung. And the catspeak amulet too. I haven't played in quite a while... Is this a good update? Is there a demand for this type of amulet or is it sort of pointless? It saves valuable bankspace and makes it an all purpose speaking-amulet.

I found about 3 - 4 squares i the optimum move. If you quickly setup the route in reverse order starting from the exit of tht room in the south west corner u must past thru you'll have around 5 bananas out when u get to him giving you a good margin ahead of him to lay the route AND they r fresh enugh to not go brown midway thru. I tried that and they changed to Mouldy Bananas before I could complete. Eventually I got it, but there is a time limit, yeah.

Scrape it off maybe? That's what I have been doing, but even with that it leaves a mark on the stone itself. I guess it's unavoidable, but I wish I could get rid of them. Oh well!
