Behind The Scenes - December
It would need one hell of an adjustment for f2p to make maging acceptable in solo combat, wouldn't it? o_O Considering that f2p will experience the least of these damage-soaking updates by comparison : x Well I meant that rune would have no magic damage soak, a little melee soak and lots of ranged soak. Not balancing, just enforcing. This will revolutionize F2P warring. Previously, the ranged unit was a clan's main KO power in PKRIs, since mages are expected to be primarily focusing on binding over blasting and rangers can attack faster too. But with rune inevitably having some degree of damage soaking, this will make it where rangers can't really do much against people in rune. Which is arguably how it should've been to begin with, but you're 100% spot on with your logic behind f2p warring.

do you enjoy grind ?
It depends on the skill if I enjoy the grind. But like most people, I enjoy the fun that I can reap after reaching my goal.

...what? My friends are great people and I have an ample amount of self confidence. Let's stick to arguments and less with personal attacks? And I agree with you. I didn't say anything to the contrary. As would I. Are we talking about the same thing here?

You're confusing my post with me advocating such behavior, lord knows why. If you read all but the first sentence, you'll see that I said some people are willing to be good people despite that and talk to you--and I agree with you, those are the people worth knowing. But it's human nature to make assumptions in line with their beliefs.

Oh yes they do. If they don't they're lying. Everyone is judgmental, no matter how much they say they're not. Now, being judgmental and taking a chance versus being judgmental and shunning the fellow is two different things. But what you wear, what you do--everything leaves impressions.

What is that teleport?
To add, the difference between the two is that the sceptre tele has a redish frame where the white one (daemonheim) falls in panels.

Conquest - Void minigame
1: Use the best setup (which now is nerfed) 2: Pwn some nuubs 3: ?????????? 4: PROFIT! It needed the nerf. 3 champs setups killed the minigame for two reasons: 1, champs are overpowered; 2, everyone used champs, and turned a great game with diversity into a boring grind. Now, champs have been lowered from 600 HP to 500 HP, but I haven't gone back to see if people have altered their setups. Lots of people stopped using the 3 champ setup but if you're a good player with a 3 champ setup you're still pretty much untouchable if your opponent doesn't have enough distance units.

It's useful if you haven't completed A Love Story and don't have chipped Pollnivach tablets and it's a closer location to the Desert Mining Camp. But with the release of the living rock caverns, the lack of a deposit box in any area close to this makes this a very poor perk. Can't really think of anything else useful for this carpet route.

Ring of stone update Discussion
Has nothing to do with realism but the simple fact that it's called the Ring of Stone because of the enchantment on it, which creates the illusion that you're a lump of stone. Once you're hit, this illusion is gone. It's not called a ring of stone because it's made of stone, which is what the person I was quoting alluded to when he proposed it gave defense stats because of it. Still doesn't change the fact that no matter what you do to this ring, it will end up being useless in its enchanted form because of the huge cost of onyx unless they release ring of stones as a monster drop. This was done with the Regen Brace, and after people had tons of these useless items built up from corp they had to change its stats. Yet even still, the Regen Brace it's still arguably useless when you obtain rune or even barrows gloves at a fraction of the price!

Microsoft now offering Xbox Live Rewards Program
I received an invite to this a while ago. Never got the surveys they promised to send me at all. It seems now that it's open to everyone, though, and not just invite only. They added more ways to get points though since I was originally invited.

Ring of stone update Discussion
It's not made of stone though, it's made of onyx. The enchantment on the ring is what gives the ring its name. Worse still, if this onyx ring gave defense bonuses comparable to other stone armor we have--namely granite--would you call it even superior to a Warrior Ring? Or even a Diamond Ring (i)? Most likely not, especially considering the price tag for it. The biggest hindrance to changing this ring is the materials used to make it. Putting effort into reworking this item, like they had with the Regen Brace, seems like wasted effort. I could even have a problem understanding whether or not a graphical update would be sensible, since the old mining rock style is still around as decoration.

I thought rune defenders were pretty good already. Won't the Dragon Defenders be TOO good?
You don't need graphs to know that a rune scim is better than a whip, and that the chaotic tier is better than a whip, and so on. I just can't see why the release of a defender would increase the demand of a whip. It's not like people were holding off on purchasing their whips for the dragon defender. So I asked because I figured he'd have some reasoning to support the speculation that I didn't think of. That's all. o_O EDIT: Flood filter gets me every time. I was looking for reasoning like Dyingsilent gave below. Thanks for it.

Behind The Scenes - December
The BTS sort of implies that it will affect armor tiers but not how, but since they're mentioning the level of differences between f2p and p2p soaking, I would guess that it's based off of the additions to your equipment. Some people are tying this into the speculated smithing rework, so it makes the theory (somewhat) plausible.

Does that mean they work now or not? No they fixed that with a live update as mentioned previously in the thread :P

Based on what? >_> Why would a new defender increase the demand for an item when defenders already existed as well as better alternative weaponry?
