Without sounding like a broken record, there are dozens of aspects to this game that attract unique players. People play to pk, to stake, to do clans, because they like quests, because they like MMOs, whatever. What should be crystal clear to you by now is that people can still enjoy those core reasons why they play, and yet still be upset by other features as well. By your reasoning, they are playing for the wrong reasons because another aspect that isn't their main focus makes them unhappy...despite still being happy from their core reason for playing. Your conclusion for this problem that runescape players face today is too black and white to apply here. So it's not "as simple as that." That doesn't apply to RuneScape, let alone this discussion, at all. Please don't butcher good quotes by ignoring their context. :(

I had PM'd Sylpheed but I'll post it here in case anyone else was curious: yeah, the mobile skin doesn't have a lot of features including the report button. But the tech admins know about this (so thanks for asking) and will look into it :P

If every update has something valid to criticize yet you're still enjoying the game I fail to see what the problem is. Ignore lists exist for a reason. Because you're comparing apples and oranges here and your wild style of "opinions" gives everyone with valid criticism a bad name.

I didn't say anything about the people who still play. I'm talking about the people who still play AND complain about everything. That's what I'm talking about, too. Why does that mean they hate the game they're playing if they criticize new content that they don't like or find flawed? After all, even if you took a year's worth of content updates, that would still only be a fraction of the game's appeal and utility. That seems every bit as arrogant as those who expect the game to be tailor-made to their needs and play-style. It's really irritating.

I seriously don't get why people assume that those who still play for a long time no longer enjoy the game and are simply "addicted."

I get that you think my reasons for not viewing the main page are shit. That aside is there seriously something you have against a fixed schedule so people know what's coming up and what isn't instead of guessing "oh okay is this weekend going to be an event weekend?" I mean, I get that it's fun to poke at people who have opinions that are a little irrational, but that doesn't mean you clamp your ears and go la la la to the rest that is rational.

I care about the beta, but when I'm never really sure which week is a beta week and which isn't, I seriously can't be bothered to sift through the newsfeed for what I'm looking for. While I know you guys are right that they have been trying to be visible, there's just more that can be done considering the fact that they can't do away with the bullshit newsposts. Even a set-schedule, or something. EDIT: I suppose there's still a lot of time til the beta is over. Hell, they might do a "Did you miss it!" opportunity weekend still. *shrug*

I also want to add that its important we remember this is an international event. Being excited for your nation is fine and dandy but please remember that opinions are great - just be sure that how you express those opinions adhere to our forum rules. Thanks :)

It's a simple and mature method called "minding your own business." For the same reason you wouldn't walk up to someone on the street and start berating them for wearing shoes from a brand you don't like, you don't go up to someone in RuneScape and start harassing them for wearing cash shop clothing. It's more like going up to someone driving a hummer in 150 years when the ozone layer is almost gone and fossil fuels are almost nonexistent and berating them. In other words, berating someone who's contributing to the downfall of your livelihood. Except the ozone layer is actually important, while a videogame is much less important. (And no offense, but if you consider the downfall of RS the downfall of your livelihood, then you might want to find something else to do in life apart from RS.) I apologize for considering something I've put thousands of hours into important. As you get older, you'll consider it less and less important. It's all relative. Not to mention it's unlikely to be your livelihood...unless you're a goldselling, in which case you're worse than any hatred that could be heaped onto any SoF spin buyer.

I don't really have to go below mid for nests to get them to sell, so wouldn't that make 10 maple/5 coal the best still? Since we only really have to worry about it when we collect, not for future collection.
