Anyway to bring back smithing? or is it dead?
Create sets only made through smithing with either the ore and bars used being untradable, so you have to mine it and smelt it yourself, or make the set itself untradable so only the smither could use it. Imagine is Jagex made a Dragon defender that comes through smithing only and is untradable, requires 85 smithing to make. Or if Jagex makes a new untradable ore/bar, that is able of making tradable ( and useful) weaponry, such as new Arrow Tips , new Throwing Knives, or a whole new set of good armour, all with the same requeriments to make as Rune ( high leveled smithers only pl0x). People would rush to train smithing insanely

F2P, is it becoming P2P?
I wonder how is anyone worried about f2p receiving waay too many updates... Duel arena, BH, pvp worlds were all f2p because we lost the Wilderness and had almost no pvp after Wildy was removed... Corrupt Dragon is expensive and crumbles in half an hour, not very useful at all. So, no, f2p didnt get Dragon weapons at all. Heck, if you look closely, in the whole year of 2009, all f2p got was fixes, new BH and rest update. We got almost nothing in 8 months, even though the CEO of the company said they will update f2p more and that it is not a demo. Yet, i see p2p people complaining that f2p gets too many updates theese days. Seriously, what are you talking about?! I think most "z0mg f2p r3c3ivez update i quit lulz" people ranting 24/7 on the RSOF are just idiots who can't adapt and accept that f2p is not seen as a demo anymore >.> Seriously, p2p will ALWAYS have more content and be updated more than f2p, so why is there a problem in f2p getting updated? Thinking p2p will not be worth it because f2p gets too many updates is overreacting A LOT

The choice to choose a race in Runescape
Gotta love demotivators  Now, if they did new races... and it was awesome... They would have to make a COMPLETE OVERHAUL on Runescape, and change every single detail of it O_O They would have to re-make all quests for each race, so that it fits them... for example, on elf series, you would be an Elf that lives in Lletlya and is working on getting to Kandarin to stop the mourners, instead of being a human going from Kandarin to Isafdar. If you were a dorge-shuun goblin, you would have to break in to the Lumbridge Castle's basement, instead of being a human finding the hole the goblins did. It would take years to make that update O_O It would be Runescape 3 >.<

Mining Sucks (round 2)
You like the grind in mining?! Hell, even 60 mining got me insane, and you like the grind of the skill?! Besides smithing being bad... the other problems with mining, as other people here said, is that even though Pure ess and Rune ore are great moneymaking ways, training it is insanely annoying. If smithing wasn't that bad and addy/mith ores were better because of that, mining theese would be worth it and mining as a whole would be waay better. We need more good money-making ways with mining between the levels 30 and 85 that are decent experience ( not higher than how mining xp/hour is atm, but good)... So that even though mining still takes an enourmous amount of effort to get to high level, it's worth it

The choice to choose a race in Runescape
I personally don't think that new races would fit in Runescape at all... But, anyway, no option to be a Dragonkin or Mahjarrat? :( I guess i'll be a Werewolf or a Vampyre... Maybe an elf... Icyenes ability should be something either smithing or prayer related. They were great smiths ( created Sara swords and Godswords =o), and they are Saradomin's favorite race.

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
If the druids created the game, how can one of them theorize that Guthix created the Fist as a game to test the mortals? :?

End Game Content?
Yes, i want the higher leveled weapons to be untradable. Not sure if i like the idea of the level 95 slayer boss though... i hate when things come through luck ( taking ages to get defender problably suck >.<). I'd rather have the item being like the fire cape, takes long to get and you fight a boss that requires skill to kill. And i want this boss to be insanely hard, being a mix of all the hardest Runescape bosses. Imagine if he has pray like TD's so you have to switch styles, he can 1-hit you so you have to switch prayers all the time, he unequips your items and teleport you around like Chaos elemental, he has an area attack that hits through prayer like Corp, and drains your prayers like Barrows area. Not to mention having annoying mininons like healers/dark core. The day Jagex creates a boss like this, is the day i'll stop complaining about lack of challenge in the game
-
End Game Content?
Yep, Jagex did a very stupid job making so strong stuff at such a low level... anyway, the ultimate weapon should NOT come from a tradable monster drop, it should come from a challenge like Fight Caves or from a GM quest. Or both. I want the right to have thoose weapons to come from hard-work training and beating a hard challenge that requires actual skill, so only the actual good players have it. Getting a lucky Visage drop or 76king for a week should not give someone the right to buy the most awesome weapon in RS. But yes, Slayer needs the level 99 monster ASAP. After level 90, it gets so hard and slow to train that you should unlock at least 1 new monster every level, maybe even 2 -.-

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
Since the Mad spirit like to speak in riddles and confusing manner, " the eye was blue" problably does mean ownership. I remember reading in the KB that it was an accident, because the armies of the gods were attacking eachother with powerful spells that ended up freezing the there... But i can't find that quote anymore, and i might be wrong >.< Now, the Stone of Jas was in the Fist of Guthix once, that is almost a proven fact. You know the 3 druids that tell their theories on the formation of the Fist of Guthix? One of them think Guthix punched the ground with his fist ( the other don't believe him because the mark on the fist of Guthix doesn't look like a fist at all...), other believes Guthix found a dangerous artifact and imprisioned it there, and the other believe that Guthix created it as a test of power to test the mortals. I believe the all three are correct. Guthix awoke, pwnt Zammy and Sara, and then he found the Fist in Saradomin's underground base ( Theory that he found a dangerous artifact), but, think about it. Guthix is the god of balance, and after the Godwars he felt sad and started crying in Lumbridge. If he is the God of balance, and he feels sad, he also felt angry at the time. He tried to destroy the Stone, because it was making the other gods create wars, and starts hitting the stone to the floor ( Since he calls the stone " Fist of Guthix", he was "punching" the floor, and leaving the wierd mark there). The Stone if so powerful that it can't be destroyed, so Guthix decides to hide it again instead of destroying. Guthix notices that his attempt to destroy the Stone left an awful amount of energy in that area, and he decides to leave Fiara there to guard it, because it could be dangerous. And to give a use to the energy, Fiara creates a game to test the mortals. All three theories togheter O_O

What do F2Pers actually deserve?
Okay, i'm a f2p nub here... Yew bows? Yes. Rune arrows? Would be overpowered i think... Blue d'hide? Only if we give 50 defence armour and and level 50 robes too... I would LOVE to see Mage Arena and godspells f2p, but i doubt this would ever happen, and i believe that is already wanting waay too much >.< Snare/Entangle, Splitbark/Mistics/ Wave spells are NEEDED. I don't have trouble with the f2p bank space, really, but a little more would be nice though. Also, finding a way of making member's items don't take up bankspace would be great for the ex-members f2p, idk why Jagex haven't worked on that already -.- More quests? PLEASE =D What we REALLY need and deserve the most is a better way of training prayer. Big bones are terrible >.< F2p deserve a boss, so there is a challenge in f2p and it gives a taste of what the p2p bosses are... And please, no special attacks. F2p pking is fine as it is now, don't make a change that could ruin it. Not having special attacks is what makes f2p pking better imo >.< Unless it is simply special attacks that drain the enemies defence, or something like that, maybe. But no k0ing specs like DDS, it would kill f2p pvp the way it is now :ohnoes: Some more accurate weapons so Full Rune fights aren't 0,0,0,0,0,0,0 would be nice too. Chaos altar AND pure essence mining please. Pure ess causes a lot of trouble for Runecrafters, and the only reason that it was created was to stop bots. We all know it failed miserably, and caused all the credit card stealing problems, so give ess mining back to f2p pl0x >:o Also, the low level Att pots, Range pots and Mage pots would be really great =D Though, make Super Range and Super Mage pots for p2p please Jagex -.- Now, what it is REALLY IMPORTANT: If Jagex is gonna give old p2p stuff for f2p, at the sime time they should give bigger and better versions of what they are giving to f2p to p2p. In Funorb, everytime they make something f2p, they gie p2p something, and it works perfectly. Zombie Down for example, they made the whole game f2p, but gave p2p a nice expansion pack. Worked well. Give to p2p stuff when they give f2p stuff, and RSOF won't be set on fire by "we pay we say @mg they givin' nuby stuf for f2p z0mg ohnoes i quit nao" rants >.>

There are no weapons nor armour past level 78, and level 138's wear the same gear that people who don't even have 1/4 of their xp. How is that almost perfect? Although, Jagex does need to focus on non-combat skills ( or try to mix skills and combat, like we talked about earlier)

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
You don't seem to understand why I drew that conclusion. One of the simplest points is that Guthix seemingly could've stopped the wars at any time, but only chose to after the last great battle involving the Godsword. This alone tells me that the Godsword must be more significant than you make it out to be, even if it doesn't raise all of our stats to 255 from merely touching it. Also, the Stone of Jaz having multiple names may mean that it wasn't as well understood by the different gods or factions. The Godsword, as far as I know, has only ever been called the Godsword, which could possibly indicate that both its power and function, because it is so powerful, are very well understood by anyone or anything that knows about it. Sorry, didn't say what i meant very well with Stone of Jas's names... what i meant, is that to the gods is the symbol of their power. Saradomin talks about "The eye of Saradomin" a lot, and Guthix mentions " Fist of Guthix" a lot, because it represents their power, being the most powerful and important artifact they had. I know what i said earlier didn't make any sense at all, was trying to find the right words to say what i ment and messed up >.< Now, Guthix was asleep, and stopped the godwars when he woke up, because some enourmous destruction awoke him. He awakening during GS battle might be a coincidence >.< He could not have stopped the wars at any time, because he was asleep. Now, if you talk to the Mad spirit in Chaos Temple spirit beast realm, he talks of the Godwars, saying that the gods searched and fought for an item, and when Guthix awoke and stopped the Godwars the object had the form of an eye and was blue ( Eye of Saradomin. This means at the moment Saradomin has the stone, and makes the stone have the form of a blue eye.) Now, Sara had the stone when Guthix awoke, and in the postbag number 40 Armadyl guardians say that "Zamorak woke Guthis with his final attack upon the flesh of this world". To me, this means that when Saradomin got the stone, Zamorak decided to attack him with all he's got to get the stone back, causing an enourmous destruction and an epic battle, awaking Guthix and creating the Wilderness in the process. Armadyl guardians also say that the last few Avianteses were frozen when Guthix awoke, so my theory is that the Battle for the Godsword and the Battle for the Stone of Jas in the Wilderness were happening at the same time, the battle of the Wilderness stopped when Guthix awake and at the same time GWD was frozen. Also, if you notice, GWD battle IS STILL HAPPENING! Maybe it wasn't "the last battle of the godwars", but it's only called like that because it's the only one that it's still happening. If GWD didn't get frozen, it would not have been the last battle, but it's still happening because of that, so... yeah :?

Whip is better, because it has a better damage per second. AGS can 2-hit people, it's true and it's bad, but it's only used as a k0 weapon in Pvp. GS's are only good for their spec, but after using spec people usually switch to whip for higher damager per second. When pking, people fight with whip/other weapon but use AGS to k0. When slaying people use SGS to heal but whip/other weapon to fight. When playing Castle Wars/Sara GWD/other for the lulz activites people spec with ZGS than switch weapon. When using BGS... well, i don't know why a BGS is any useful at all, so... Besides thoose activities i just listed, Whip > Gs. Although, even for a not that good weapon, 2-hitting at level 75 is bad, i agree with that...

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
I believe Vampyres of Hallowvale are more intelligent because they are corrupted humans, while the Vampires of the forests are just... well, vampires, not human related at all. Thats why they are more savage. If you throw Guthix balance potion on Juvenile/Juvinate, he might become a human, because there is a cursed human living in him, and Guthix potion seem to restore the balance between good and evil on him, turning him back to human. If you fight a Vampire, you can't do this, because he is just a Vampire... your only option is to kill him and get free vampire dust =D The Godsword could not have been the main reason, firstly, we all know the Stone of Jas > Godsword in every single possible way to the gods. Second, there is evidence of Stone of Jas being fight for by the gods, such as the mad spirit in the chaos temple on spirit beast realm, that talks about the godwars, and Saradomin calling the Stone "The eye of Saradomin", and Guthix calling it "Fist of Guthix", and mentioning thoose all the time, as if they are very important. About the gate to Zamoraks world being Freneskrae, might be possible... The elves normally hate the Mahjarrat, but the Iowerth is the evil elves clan, so they might be allied to the Mahjarrat. But, Iowerth clan mentions " The Dark Lord" returning to the world, while Arianwyn says that they are opening the gate to Zamoraks world, so if they are opening Freneskrae's portal, Zamorak has a way around the edicts of Guthix just like Bandos and he is gonna use it when a Mahjarrat invasion happen :ohnoes: Anyway, since Jagex loves changing their storyline and Elf quest is waiting for sequel for a while, i think in Jagex's mind The Dark Lord being Zamorak is problably wrong, and they changed Elf story a bit, or maybe a lot... -.-

Mining Sucks (round 2)
True. But the true problem of mining as a whole, is that Smithing sucks. As long as smithing sucks, mining sucks too. Ha ha. Firemaking sucks, doesn't it? It isn't easy to get level 99 firemaking compared to some others, because there's no burn-x. So explain to me why woodcutting doesn't "suck". Because of fletching. If Mining had another production skill besides smithing that was very quick to buy to lvl 99, mining would be reborn as it is now. Exacly, fletching is one of the easiest 99's, and firemaking is also a 99 that lots of people try to get ( not to mention people firemaking for adze). Same situation for fishing and cooking. Now, for smithing, most people just smith for quests and never train it again, because smithing makes you loose money. A lot. If there were a lot more advantages to smithing to the point where it was a respectable skill, more people would buy ores to make bars and smith, and mining would be a better skill overall. Yayz. And also,

Would be a nice update to skills the ability to use them to make our weapons stronger... Using smithing to sharpen our weapons strenghtening them a bit, use magic to enchant bows/swords/staves to give them more overall bonuses, using prayer to bless our items giving them a higher prayer bonus... And of course, doing thoose things to the weapons would make them untradable ( would be able to reverse it though), so only the person who bothered to train thoose skills could benefit from it. No need to ban them from pvp worlds, just make them useful against npcs only. For example, a sword blessed by Saradomin that is weak against most stuff, but if fighting Demons/Undead/Vampyres/other evil stuff it's waaay better than whip, or a sword that is as strong as whip but hits 45% higher on slayer task ( :ohnoes:  No, i don't want a weapon overpowered like that, this is just an example, i'm not that insane  ).

IMO, bosses that require personal skill are the only ones that are hard, or even a little challenging, in Runescape. All others are just "turn pray, click attack, drink pray pot once in a while". Uniting everything that makes the hardest RS bosses hard,an "ultimate Runescape boss" would have pray like TD's so you have to change styles, would attack like Jad and be able to 1-hit you so you have to prayswitch, would have an area attack like Corp so you have to dodge, would drain prayer like Barrows area so you have to watch out for your prayer, would have minions ( like Jad healers, Corp Dark Core) to distract you AND would unequip you items and teleport you around like Chaos Elemental. You'd have to prayerswitch, switch combat styles, destroy minions whitout getting distracted, keep looking at your prayers, dodge area attack and re-equip equipament all the time. One mistake and BAM 99 k0. THIS is the kinds of boss i would like for the Fight Cave-like challenge that would give the best level 99 endgame item in the game.

End Game Content?
[hide=] Wow, that's a real solution, isn't it? Take existing content and increase the requirements. Totally not a cop-out, right? Because it has such a huge impact on high-level players. Honestly, that's a stupid idea. It's the exact same content. High levels can already use it. Raising the requirements does nothing to create high-level content. Imagine if you for some reason raised the requirement for godswords to 99 attack. People with under 99 attack would be royally pissed off, and people with 99 attack won't see any change at all. You get absolutely no benefit except to say that you now have high-level content, which is really just fake difficulty. (And you could do the same thing by making up a new item and not piss off the people with 75 attack.) It's like a video game that claims to have "replay value" because you can go back and fight the bosses again in "Time Attack" mode to unlock the ability to change the color of your character's hair. And there are ten different Time Attack Mode variations that unlock ten other new hairstyles. And once you unlock all the hairstyles you get a trophy. And once you unlock all the trophies you get the ability to restart the game at the same difficulty, but in "Sombrero Mode," with all the enemies wearing sombreros. That's not replay value. That's fake longevity. It's the same thing as if the player just played through the original story mode a dozen times. (Although the sombrero mode sounds cool.) [/hide] I wasn't saying that changing reqs would be the solution, i was just saying that would have been waaaay better if thoose were the skills Jagex choose for thoose weapons when they first made them -.- Honestly, you gotta admit, if Jagex made the weapons at thoose levels, we would not have half the problems we have now ( such as high level content being impossible because level 75 content can 2-hit already >.>), but no, Jagex decided that is better to make completely unbalanced content just to make low levels happy  The dungeon that keeps getting harder sounds nice though.

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
Just watched GC20amber Legacy of Seergaze video... Nope, Drezel did not menton Armadyl at all. Hallowvale (AKA Morytania) used to be a Saradominist area, Drakan took over it, and the people who couldn't escape started being corrupted into becoming Vampyres by Drakan, so they made the deal with Saradomin to give their possessions to whoever save them from eternal torture O_o I believe that Vampyres aren't necessarialy corrupted Icyenes, they might be just corrupted humans... For example, when you suspend a normal Vampyre Juvinate or Juvenile on air with Ivandis's Rod and use Guthix potion on them, they might become humans and give you a reward. So, Vampyres = Corrupted Humans. I think Vyrewatch are just the older and most powerful Vampyres. if i remember it right, the KB says that Juveniles are young Vampyres, Juvinates are old Vampyres who are part of noble Vampyre families and Vyrewatch are the oldest and most powerful Vampyres. Obviously, the older the Vampyre the most powerful he is, and Vyrewatch are just insanely old and powerful, but aren't much different than the other vampires besides that. Though ,it's almost confirmed that Vyrewatch are corrupted Icyenes, so i won't argue about that :| P.s: W00t i is spider egg now =o

Does Drezel even know who Armadyl is? I'm gonna go research a bit to see if that info is correct O_o

Saradomin was always a god, and never followed anything besides himself. The only god that was once a mortal is Zamorak( possibly Marimbo too).

Good Quest, Plox?
Don't turn this thread into a freeloading session. What we need is a sequel to the red axe storyline. Red axe is coming soon. What we REALLY need is a sequel to the Elf storyline and another Gmaster quest ( that is actually challenging and have a useful reward  ).

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
Khazard is a Mahjarrat i know, but his army ( villains in Tree Gnome Village) is not a serious threat on it'a own, is it? What i meant, is that even though thoose guys were serious threats, they are pathetic compared to the Mahjarrats and Dragonkin. Lucien was able of 1-hitting the strongest heroes of Runescape whitout the Stone of Jas, imagine what he is able to do now?! Even if all the villains i mentioned united against Lucien, he would have a big change of defeating them O_o Heck, he wouldn't even need to do anything, just the Tormented Demons and his army of Zombie Trolls and Elite Black Knights could crush other enemies easily O_o

11th August 2009 - RuneScape Machinima Competition
The Zamorak cape looks so great. I like the video, it was really creative. But i disliked many of the capes: 1) Technology (Runescape is Runescape because of swords and bow and staffs). Put guns as future weapons in Runescape and it ruins the game for me. 2) Astrology (WTF?), no thanks... It can work but it would be dead boring I found that impressive also. Not really funny, but very creative. The necromancy cape was pretty sweet. Same as the Zamorak one. I want a Zamorak cape NAO
