Other than your bad luck, you made a mistake by using a DDS. Use a granite maul with Dharoks. If you time it right, you can hit both maul specs and a Dharok Axe swing all within the same turn. You mean other than absolutely horrible luck, lol.

I wasn't really worried about paying an extra 200k or so after spending roughly 94 mage. What I was worried about was the speed and how much gp/exp I'd get out of bursting. 200k (having to pair the top and bottom a few times in your house) would only add around .01gp/exp to my average, max. Void does have its uses though; people who like to camp there for 15k+ bursts at a time. Void doesn't degrade, so you can last as long as your runes or p pots do (and some people get really elaborate with their prayers, so they barely use anything at all).

TD massacre/Corp mass+ffa. I got 1200+ Blues from Corporal teams and ffa's in around 2 months of casual playing.

Infinity...? Ahrims is far better than infinity, and Void Mage isn't all that great compared to near max mage bounes. I got down to a constant 5gp/exp when I was just going at it. If I had really concentrated, I could've easily knocked off another .2 or .3 by not killing the last 2 lobsters with bursts.

Magic attack over 80 is unnecessary. No. You need almost max mage attack stats, or you're going to be spending up to 8gp/exp for something you could've done for 6gp/exp with Ahrims, Mage Ammy, Mitre, Master Wand, Mage Book/Zammy Book, and some other good gear.

It won't really effect the lower rares too much. It depends on the new item Jagex is release on whether or not they will have to pick up partyhats again, go back to 3rd age, go back to spectrals and arcanes, or whether they just stay with edibles and disk. Partyhats really can't go too much higher now because of the public will not want them at all. When there is no public demand the item just dies. Elysian and divine still remain strong in the market. I don't seem them crashing for quite a bit actually just because they are actually useful, now useful for 400M+ is another question. They're definitely worth 400M. Doubling your GWD could easily rake in a few mill more, easily paying off the shield from just casual playing. And as for the expected crash, idiots with phats and merchants with phats are basically the same. Both panic whenever something happens; anytime there's a major update to the game itself, you don't see the merchants buying up what the "idiots" are selling. To me, everyone's panicky and on the verge of dumping everything they own for some cash.
