  1. With tortoise, yes. But you'll only get 1 max. If you can get piety, you could get 2, but your stats are bit on the low side. You need 85+ stats for a decent run.
  2. Sexiness. And Anemia on my mother's side.

More than one torch would be lethal to anyone else in the tunnels. Maybe if one person went down there to carve, but the flame would burn out very quickly, as the tunnels are very deep and it takes a bit while for oxygen to go down the tunnels, since it's lighter than CO2. Also, there are no traces of soot or other chemicals left behind from a burning torch anywhere inside the deepest part of the tunnels or the Pharaoh's tomb.
  4. Well, I've had a few of these weird happenings myself. I don't have any problems with the entire system, like a rune chain protecting over an Armadyl plate, but the weirder stuff. Ring of Wealth protects over Glory (charged or uncharged). I don't see how that even begins to make sense.

You're not being serious, right? Lol, no I'm not, in case you didn't catch that. To me, a number around 60k-100k slaves seems more like a number I can stick behind. That actually makes it somewhat possible to move 3-5 ton blocks in such a short amount of time. Yup. They were even paid, considering they agreed to the hard labor, didn't die in the process, or didn't die after giving up midway and then getting killed. Pharaohs of that time were considered Gods, and anyone that's God can do whatever they wish. For this, I point you towards H.P. Lovecraft's "At the Mountains of Madness". It makes just as much sense as the rest of this thread. Mind paraphrasing it? Wouldn't say they were smarter, but they were definitely as smart as we are right now. The average IQ of the human doesn't change very much at all, even over a few thousand years. Gimme Dat, son. Thats when I stopped reading... Lol, I was wondering how many people would. Well, there's a Pharaoh buried in there, so not more than 40 or so years I would assume. Pyramids began construction upon the birth of a Pharaoh, so he was probably buried sometime around his death, presumably 22 years. Also, no one's pointed out how Egyptians had light deep inside the pyramids. They have magnificent writings and drawings down there in pure granite, so they must have needed a fairly large amount of light for long periods of time to accomplish that. You can't support a large fire, or even a large amount of people inside the main tombs, because that risks all of the oxygen being depleted inside the deepest part of the pyramids. Also, there's a place in Peru, I think, were there are giant mountains with "runways" of sorts carved onto the ground and on the mountains. Now, anyone who says that humans made them for aliens and not for the mere act of making them is an idiot, but that's not why I mentioned this piece of information. Some of the mountains have had their peaks, their summits, "sliced" completely off. All of surrounding mountains have perfectly normal summits, but some of the mountains have summits that have been carved into perfectly straight paths that go on for kilometers. Think of the Himalayas; now think of the tops of all the mountains in the Himalayas cut off and formed into straight paths that stretch across the entire mountain region. These paths also have these "runways" carved into them. The main question is how did the tops of these mountains become to straightly carved? Weird, right? I'd say it's just weird natural occurrence, but maybe, lol.

God came down and gave man magical powers to build those things to piss off everyone else in the future who still don't know how they built those things. It all makes so much god damn sense I just don't even know what to do anymore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_razor Lol, I saw "razor" in your link. Don't give me that simplicity [cabbage]. It's all about sticking by the most elaborate theory you can think of and making people believe it.
  8. Areas that we can't visit have been in tzhaar since it came out. It's obviously planned for something relatively big, like a Grand Master quest, considering the only other quest in tzhaar was a fairly high leveled one.
  9. Lol, yea, that was funny. Also, the Weather Channel is pretty much as fair as they come when it comes to news. Or are they... *Breaking News: Hurricane Hail Storm about to hit Africa. Run for your god damn lives*

The Guidogg, Da THS in Da Hizzay, Da Boom Doog, OG, Pimpster, or a combination of those.
  11. A lot of people admit to crimes they haven't committed. But even then, capital punishment is much more expensive than housing a criminal in prison until they die. This isn't because of the high cost of poison (see: rat poison), but because of the elaborate system that states set up (for perfectly reasonable reasons) to make sure the person being sentenced to death has done what he/she is being prosecuted for. So, economically speaking, capital punishment isn't a very good option. This is why I believe that this sort of thing should be wrapped up in it's own sort of special court. Basically, here's the way it works. If someone's accused of a truly evil act, they go to this court. There's 3 basic outcomes of it; they're found not guilty, they're found moderately guilty (not sure of the best term for this, but basically the normal rules apply sans capital punishment), and they're found inexcusably guilty. If they're found inexcusably guilty, which would need ultimately undeniable proof that both they've committed what they're accused of and that they pose too much of a risk to be left alive, they are put to death in one of a variety of cost-efficient ways (firing squad, hanging, etc.). The time between the person being found inexcusably guilty and them being executed should be considerably short (1-5 years max) in order to finalize everything. If at some point during this time period something comes up that throws ANY doubt onto the conviction, they are transferred to a non-death row prison until either they're reconfirmed guilty or proven innocent. Please keep in mind that if they're deemed inexcusably guilty, then almost all appeals would be redundant (considering the fact that most of them are on petty [cabbage] that has nothing to do with whether or not they're guilty, they would be removed from this process except when actual evidence to innocence is presented). Would this work? Of course, anybody with power could abuse any system whatsoever, so please leave that sort of excuse out of this. I think you're thinking of magic because, realistically speaking, a court that efficient and devoid of all prejudices doesn't exist, no matter how much you want one to exist. I completely agree with you that that would be the route to take if we could establish a system in which the government could enforce capital punishment efficiently and fairly, considering creating such a system doesn't require too many resources.
  12. The only good news source these days is The Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report, and I'm not even joking. These days, Comedy is the only real news source. Go to CNN, MSNBC, or Fox, and you'll just the same, bull [cabbage] crap used to raise ratings and arouse debate, which is then used again to raise ratings. They have like 24 hours to report news, and all they can think of is what the dude's name was? Lame.

Might? Just leave. Gtfo now before I eat you instead of that delectable baby.
  15. It's been proven that the death sentence does very little in reducing crime rates. In actuality, there's a smaller chance for someone to die while on death row than it is for them to die on gang-infested streets. You can look that statistic up. If I were a criminal, I'd rather take my chances with a poorly put together system than on the streets where someone wearing a different set of colors than me would happily shoot me for some [cabbage]s and giggles. Other than that, I say capital punishment should be eliminated. First of all, I believe that no one's aloud to dictate who lives or who dies in a system that's been known to kill people who were wrongly accused for a crime. I'm not saying let's put down our guns and not shoot terrorists who are about to blow up a bus full of children. What I am saying is that killing someone when they're no longer a threat to the general society is ethically [bleep]ed up.

Sorry for the double post, bad at these forums. I saw the entire premise of the OP in a history channel special. Featuring interviews with the book's author. Though the idea of aliens as Gods actually makes sense. Superpowered being that brings down knowledge? Just make it look human so that it doesn't scare the [cabbage] out of you and your friends. The idea makes sense, but it's not entirely rational. I still wont believe it with further proof. I saw the History Channel thing too, but the book is far more interesting. I ordered it a few months ago, and apparently it was sitting under my name in Barnes and Noble the entire time. Lol, or magic. I'll believe magic over aliens any day. Christ won't save you from our alien overlords. Only Chuck Norris can save us from the alien invaders, and even then, who'll save us from Chuck Norris?

22 years is plenty of time, yes, for a pyramid a fraction of its size. You've yet you explain how someone can transport a block weighing 3 tons across a 2 mile ramp in such a small amount of time. And they weren't actually slaves, just workers who were paid with food. They were still probably worked to death. Go go Power Rangers! My mishap, I was referring to all three pyramids in my main post, sorry. As for the map thing, I also meant to say Europe... Didn't proof read for info very much. But anyway, 5 minutes per block considering the time needed to cut it into a very accurate rectangle, transport it, and move it up a ramp over a mile long... Modern technologists have said this is entirely impossible, even in present times. Also, the light thing: there's not enough oxygen to support a substantial flame for more than a few seconds before it burns off most of the oxygen in the area. I will agree that saying it's because of aliens is a bit childish, but, currently, there are no competing theories as to how it was done -- except for magic. I thought we had something special, and now you're going around saying we're not related in anyway?! How could you?!! You know what? We're over! Just don't even talk to me! I knew this was a bad idea from the start!!! *breaks down* I guess he has shown us that our methods at dating things really suck. Clearly they had some method of doing so. People never give the credit for these civilisations deserve. It would take the same time these days to make the pyramids as it took the Egyptians thousands of years ago, so I think it's safe to say that these people had their nice carving system down pat. Lol, I don't think we're off by a few million years. Ice cores have been taken that shows the air inside the ice to be dated back millions of years. But other than that, I'll agree with the point on credit being given to ancient civilizations. I just pointed out that piece of info because I was kind of perplexed as to how anyone without modern tools could cut something almost as hard as diamond with rocks and to such amazing precision. I still don't see how it can be done without literally months of constant grinding with small tools.
  20. Our solar system will pass in front of the center of our galaxy, which will then prompt a random dude with a bow and arrow to shoot a flaming arrow at the earth, which will then spontaneously create Jesus, who will then bring forth the Rapture and banish the sinful to the depths of Hell. Other than that, business as usual.

    Too soon?
  22. Actually, the main reason I like House is because everything in that show is medically accurate. Nothing is over-the-top (except the one in million chances for those cases to even exist) and everything is plausible.
  23. 1230abcz replied to 1230abcz's topic in Off-Topic
Yea, that's my main argument, but even so, it's a pretty childish one. There aren't many ways around the "evidence," which is very cleanly laid out in the novel. The most damning evidence is the one about the pyramids. It was built in 22 years because there's a Pharaoh buried in that thing, and unless Pharaohs live a few thousand years long (multiply 9 seconds per block by a few hundred to get a reasonable time limit to build the pyramid), I don't see how it's possible.
  24. Ever watched House? This was in one of the episodes, lol.
