I agree, people asking for donations is disgusting when it's done because people just want the cash. I know some people who have had 9/10 of their bank donated to them, and they still act like they're a good player even though they take the free stuff all the time. Sure, if you're going for 200m all, and people want to give you money to help you, that's fine, but not if you're just going to beg like a [bleep] for money, that's just wrong in my opinion.

You can trade bonds to an ironman account. Trade bonds from main account to ironman account, redeem for membership. Bam. P2P Ironman.

I did not participate with round 2 (as I have no 1M on my ironman I could not even think of participating). But I remember that at the time of round 2 the server kicked me and everyone else on my world (and I am sure many more worlds). One of the things that led to the riot was Jagex's response on stream after the disconnects. They basically said "We're sorry about the server issues, it's been happening all weekend and it must be at its peak right now, we'll try and fix it. Anyway, thanks for supporting The Drop, and we'll see you again next time!" There wasn't even mention of repayment of the 1m that players lost (I lost 1m, but I'm more bemused at the situation considering I didn't do it on my ironman :D), and that's what made players riot, the fact that there wasn't even a mention of getting your money back. While 1m might not be a lot to some people, it could be everything to others.

Amazing how something so small in one way can mean so much to me in another way. Quest cape on another account has been a long term goal of mine, and to get it on a hardcore ironman just makes it that much more special. I'm a happy man right now <3: With that long term goal out of the way, the new long term goal is to get taskmaster as hardcore ironman ;)

In regards to this issue, it shouldn't have even come up in the first place. Jagex should know that a large amount of their player base (over 59,000 ironman accounts (hardcore and not) were created since release) has Ironman accounts, and that they'd be incited to buy the membership packages because of the aura that we were "sold" as it was. How on earth they can be foolish enough to let that slip their minds, considering it's one of the biggest updates of this year alongside Elf City, is beyond me. Once the aura was given, and hundreds (if not thousands) of ironmen had bought membership packages and received this incentive, it should have been left as it was. Overpowered maybe, but not to the point of game breaking, and it's extremely irritating that they decided to change it (the post with the J-Mod posting that he'd nerfed it came well over six hours after release) after multiple people (myself being one of them) purchased a service which was then changed immediately after our purchase. It's not a case of me being surprised that they nerfed it, I'm surprised that they were foolish enough to let it slip through in the first place. Their decision to then change it a full six hours plus after the release when they must have known that a large number of people had purchased the aura for this incentive had then had it changed from what it was is what disgusts me with the situation. We bought what we paid for, and it should have either not been released to Ironmen in the first place, or not been changed. I'll also reiterate my point in that I don't care for the free items that I'd have received had the aura not been nerfed. My irritation is from Jagex's decision to overlook the ironman community when releasing the aura (which makes me believe they're a bunch of slack-jawed fools), and then change the way the damn thing worked after a number of people had specifically bought the packages to take advantage of the aura.
