  1. Obviously you don't see any point in homework - given your age, you've probably haven't taken any difficult courses yet. Like Rebdragon has said, there's only so much time you have for each class. Do you expect the teacher to spoonfeed you for the rest of school? In my AP Calc class, they'll spend the period going over the previous night's homework, clearing up any confusions, and then teaching just enough to get started on the next night of homework. You don't get spoonfed - instead, you have to figure out things by yourself if you to do well in the class.
  2. Yeah, that's exactly how it's going for me too. Soph year was by far the easiest :-).
  3. Moved to Tech and Computers :-)
  4. Um so whats your point? Its not like hes going to come to T.O and take them to the finals, hes just a player...who wont score more then 8-10 points for sure. 8-10 points is a lot, probably a little more than half of the teams in the league dont even average 100ppg... thats up to 10% of the teams ppg. and dont disrespect/underestimate international players. i bet u have no knowledge of international players beyond the ones that are superstars Word. It's not just the big names that make up the sport of basketball ;-).
  5. 12th/Senior year. One last hurrah, eh?
  6. :o. How have you not heard of Delfino?! The pair of Carlos that Detroit once had  He's actually a decent player on the international stage shown by his performances with the olympic champions Argentina - it's just that playing backup to the most stable backcourt in the NBA won't give you much playing time, especially when flip murray is prefered over you.
  7. Lol you shouldn't build a team around such an expensive player then. I had a so so week, a few of my players didn't play but the ones who did play did well - I even played Gary O'Connor this week and he got a debut goal :D . I think Tottenham desperately needs a decent midfield first.
  8. 2-0 Arsenal - Sparta Prague. Hleb's on a scoring free. What happened to the goal-shy Hleb we knew and moaned about :-P. What do you think about Keano's "Wag culture tirade"?
  9. Lol- chances are low!:P I think hes a future player, will take 3-4 years to become an allstar It took Yao that long to become a legit one - personally my hopes for Yi aren't that high. But who knows, he could surprise me.
  10. 2-1 to the Arsenal. Close call, but seems like that's the same result we've been getting all of preseason too.
  11. I wouldn't say Carrick and Hargreaves play the exact same role - to me, it looks like Fergie is trying to create his own English version of the Pirlo-Gattuso partnership that Milan has.
  12. Reggie stuck with the pacers for 18 years, even though he could chased a ring elsewhere, and now they say he's going to come back to play for the Celtics? Mind you, I don't think that's how he wants to be remembered. He's no physical beast either - it was just the mental edge he had, and which he's probably lost after two years removed from the court.
  13. Seriously, 5 max for honors and 6 for APs? No wonder your GPAs are that high. For me, since only 'honors' (we don't even refer to them as anything out of the ordinary) are the bare-minimum that you take, you don't get any weight for 'em. APs get a 0.5 weight tacked onto the 4.0 scale. I've only taken 3 APs so far, 2 B+'s and an A.
  14. Any thoughts on the community shield? Sounds like it was a boring one :-s.
  15. I think some teams are interested in Rafer Alston and John Lucas III from Houston, as Houston also has Mike James, Steve Francis, and Aaron Brooks available at point gard too :-s.
  16. Standard scale for me (at least for schools in my area) is 4 point grading scale - however, different schools attach different weights for different classes -_-.
  17. Quiet eerie to see how quickly the mighty have fallen :-s.
  18. runescape_rocks, what weights for classes do you have that allow you to get a 4.2? In my school, I've seen plenty of 4.1's but no 4.2's.
  19. Memphis... unless Mike Conley becomes another Chris Paul.
  20. I really don't care which I play now. They're both a big step up from FIFA 2004 which I played my heart out to the past two summers ;-). And being a fanboy's never really been my thing - FIFA just happens to be more available to me in places :-s. Anyways, Champions League Draw is out. Important fixtures for both us Liverpool/Arsenal fans. Liverpool v. Toulouse and Arsenal v. Sparta Prague (4th time in 6 years this match has been played...thierry henry broke ian wright's goal record against them too I think)
  21. Well, It does suck and this issue does involve communism, because China is a communist state. Sure, the same law could be passed everywhere, but the difference is that citizens of democratic states have elected leaders that make the laws and also the citizens have the ability to repeal the law. Online games are no more addictive than any other. I have personally played standalone "offline" games for many, many hours on end. I've also read books for hours and hours...never heard anyone complain about that. What if a parent decides that they believe their kids should play exactly 3.5 hrs of gaming a day? That they believe that is the optimal amount of time a kid should play to develop skills gained thru gaming. Should they not be able to allow their kids to play an extra 1/2 hr? Also, it does affect more than just minors...the adults have to prove they are adults before they can play. Are you implying communism is absolutely bad? Sometimes democracy doesn't work for everyone. And there are 'bad' democracies out there too...
  22. How about we all purchase FIFA 08/PES and organize a head to head league there :-P.
  23. Give me a second, my glasses just fell in the toilet. 'Un momento...?' My spanish is rubbish :-P.
  24. Just use the calculator they recommend. You're looking for advice, and your school, the best source around, gave it to you on a platter. I personally used that exact same calculator your school recommended and it worked like a charm throughout my middle school math courses (algebra 1 and geometry). We had a set of TI-83s in the classroom if we needed to graph something and that's it. It's not necessary to have a super-powerful calculator in middle school. You can go on about how good your Casio calculator is, but to be honest, I don't think you know enough math to do most of the things you just mentioned it can do. Ended up buying a TI-84 for my Algebra 2/Trig class in my freshman year of highschool, and I plan on buying an 89 for my BC calc class net year. Also, the TI calculators are the standard in the US I believe - standardized tests mention which model of the TI you can use for that specific test. Haven't heard them mention any other model before. Let's leave the advice asking on a single thread when you get to highschool, ok? :-P.
