If you're going there just to live like average Joe... well then of course. It's a completely different culture and language that most people are used to. The language is much more difficult to pick up than most others and don't expect everything else to be a piece of cake either. But if you've done your research and have some funds on hand, I don't see why it would be so difficult. Plenty of people from other countries have moved there with success. They tend to have more luck in the larger cities though, since those places are better equipped to assist them in the 'settling-down' phase.
