When Merci met Suzi...

A short summary with pictures of when Merci met Suzi (and no there were no "excited" noises made during any meals in restaurants) :D

Suzis comments are all in pink.

Day One: Monday 29th October ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ The arrival of the Sims-fairy

Left my house in the south west for Suzis house in Wales. Was a long and nasty 170+ mile trip and took me just under 5 hours to get there with a stop off at a place Suzi recommended called the Honey Caf̮̩̉̉ where I ate a nice panini and salad.

Suzi met me on the main road by her house where she walked with me to her house and to meet the parents etc. Didn't really do much on the Monday apart from flake out on the sofa relaxing and moving my stuff into the newly decorated spare room.

Suzi then cooked up some chilli and rice to eat before having a relatively early night watching a dvd of The Thing where Suzi fell asleep on the bed so i left her be and turned off the telly and then went to bed myself.

Matt arrived at about three o̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢clock on Monday afternoon. We hadn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t planned to do anything because we correctly figured that he would be a bit tired after the 5-hour drive. That evening we talked for ages and watched DVD̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s.

Day Two: Tuesday 30th October ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ First day out.

Wakey wakey rise and shine. Up showered and dressed to go food shopping, yay funtime lol. Tried to get a decend pumpkin to carve a Bubsa into but most of them were all too small or still green and horrible. Went round a couple of different supermarkets looking and finally got one which seemed suitable but it wasn't an easy task.

In the afternoon we went to the exotic animal place to see some of the more weird and wonderful creatures that live in Wales other than sheep. I got to hold a snake and a massivly huge crocodile *ahem* lol. Suzi was too scared to told them but she did stroke them a little while i was holding. Also saw lots of big cats and saw them being fed rabbits which got me feeling hungry.

The first thing we had to do was to go food shopping, including buying a pumpkin. This wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the easiest task in the world, as the pumpkins we saw were too small or green, and many of the shops didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even have pumpkins. Anyway, we persevered and managed to find quite a nice one.

After all that we went to the local Animalarium where Matt got to grips with a snake and a Cayman crocodile.

Day Three: Wednesday 31st October ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Halloween

An eventful day... kinda. We carved the pumpkin today but try as we might with about 4 different Bubsa stencils it wasn't going to work so we just cut a scary face into it. It didn't help that the sticker on the pumpkin was disguising a huge hole in the side of the pumpkin grrrr which I tried to care around to make it not noticeable but you could still tell :(

Then we used the inside bit of the pumpkin to try to make a pie. None of us knew a recipe so we found one on the internet and using a little big of improvising and botchery we figured it all out and put the pumpkin bits in a bowl ready for cooking.

Later I drove us to the Devils Bridge and waterfalls where I took about a bazillion pictures and it was such an amazing sight.

On the way back we popped into Aber to walk along the promenade and to see the pier.

Later in the evening we went back into Aber to go to the karaoke where I was hoping to do a live version of the Power of Bubs. firstly we almost didn't even make it when I had a slight "meeting" with one of the local chav boys too young to get into any of the pubs lol. It was also a bit too busy to sing so I just sat with Suzi in the corner singing to myself hehe

It was time to carve the pumpkin. We had our Bubsa template ready but sadly it was not going to be. We removed the sticker to discover a hole in the bloody pumpkin. :( So we ended up giving him just a random face. However, the hole was difficult to incorporate into the design and he ended up looking as if he had a cleft palette. He was special. We scooped all of the flesh out of him and cooked it ready for making it into a pie, which neither of us had ever attempted to do before.

We went to Devils Bridge and the Mynach falls, which were really picturesque. Then we stopped off in Aberystwyth for a walk along the promenade.

That evening Matt wanted to go to karaoke in one of the pubs in Aber. On the way to the pub, a chavvy kid decided to throw an egg at Matt̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s head. Fortunately the kid had a crap aim and missed, but that didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t stop Matt from attempting to ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åhave a word̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

<3: Wow, that sounded like an awesome week you two. It's so good to hear that you both got together, as it seems a rare occurrence between tip.it members.

Question: How long did it take to eat the fudge bar :P

I meant the facebook links. I can't view them because we aren't friends. Which might just be rectified in mere seconds.

Wales looks very beautiful. That heavily wooded rocky area is very pretty. About the only climate area Texas doesn't have. All our woods are just flat hills.

It looks like you two really enjoyed visiting.

I'd like to meet some Tiffer's someday.

You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."

HOLY CRAP, that fudge looks so freaking good. Holy crap. Holy crap

With my obsession over that fudge to the side (did I mention it looked delicious?) that's awesome you guys got to meet up. Was it your first time meeting in person? Weren't you guys really nervous, especially Merci when you had to meet her parents? I would feel really awkward and nervous meeting the parents of a girl I met online.
