I agree with evil, unless you're dying for a trim on your cape... why waste the trim on something easy like cooking, its so predictible. Try for something a little harder. Plus, untrimmed skillcapes = ftw :mrgreen:

Skilling is definatly your best bet. There are so many ways you can make money, even on a laggy computer. For years I had a terrible computer - I lagged every move I made and couldnt easily do much, but was still able to make money with skilling. While it was harder than it should have been to do because of the lag, I didnt have to worry much about dying and losing my hard earned items. Try to work on your skills until you get your other computer back. You might learn to love one of them and make a lot of money in the process.

And as for the abyssal repairs to the lunar cast repairs, It is faster for me to repair using NPC contact, but I suppose, like the pouch setup, It highly depends on who it is behind the screen. I would reccomend testing it out a few times for yourself to check. But I do personally find it faster - plus i dont get owned in the abyss in my non-armored rcing state so its really win win for me. But like i said, depends on the person. Give it a shot both ways =] Id love to see your opinion on it.

I dont particularly hate the update, but it is really really confusing. So many people change their names every month that its really hard to keep them straight. I admit, its partially my fault for keeping my chat off so much that I dont really talk to people with their new names more than once a week or so. But being able to change your name once a month is simply too much. Like rawr said, people should have the option to change their name a few times a year. Once every 3 or 6 months. But should be able to change their name back to what it was originally whenever they would like during that time frame. However once they change it back, its stuck like that until the time they originally changed their name is up. For example. I change my name from speedsktr to speedyRcer in january, but in march decide to change it back to speedsktr, I cant change it again until say June with the six month limit. This would eliminate some of the confusion that comes with the constant name switching. Either this, or make the hover over box in your friends list say ALL of the person's prior account names. Something for those of us with terrible memories please.

should a new grade of metal armour me added? A new type of armor, while it could be nice, isnt really necessary. There are tons of different kinds of armor available at the moment, from barrows, to godwars, to just regular metal armor (rune/dragon etc). Theres something for everything. Though some nicer looking armors sets with a low cost would be a nice change, what is currently available is plenty of armor. should dragon items be made f2p? already answered this earlier, but no no and again no. Dragon like everyone else stated, is a p2p thing. but what would happen to quest related dragon items if thay became f2p? dragon wont ever become free to play, theres too much tied into the members portion of the game to allow it. Its really not even a discussion. how baddly will the price of dragon be efected? If the stats of dragon armor were to be increased, the prices would be affected. And honestly the stats could use some change. Theres really no point in spending all the extra money on dragon when its really not that great. Its for looks basically and thats all. will the new metal overpower melee more then it is allredy? a new metal armor, if it was to be better than dragon, would definatly overpower melee in my opinion. Melee is already much better than most other options. While a warrior is likely to lose to a high level mage, the melee armor is much better than anything currently in the game for mages or rangers. will this new metal even efect melee as it has so much stuff around that curent level requirement? dont quite understand what you're asking here. should this be added, but only if mage/range get equivelent boosts? like i said, a new armor really isnt necessary, however if they were to add another one, it would only be fair to add a mage and range armor as well. should dragon be made level 70 and a new metal at level 60 be made to replace it? dragon is bad enough at level 60 as it is, level 70 is way too high of a requirement for dragon armor. Its really not all that great

Definatly not, Dragon has and should always remain a members item. The hardest quest in f2p unlocks rune, why make a better armour available when rune is good enough as it is?

I think all capes are fairly admirable. I used to think that fletch/cook were very idk i guess "nooby" but then I started getting them to 99... Ive had an untrimmed woodcutting cape (that i got yes, cutting trees) for over 2 years now, and in that time got a quest cape (which I dont care what anyone says, is an admirable cape - especially at my combat lvl, having to kill the new rs bad guy Nomad. )While working on 99 runecrafting I decided to get firemaking, cooking and fletching, at the same time as 99 runecrafting, and It turns out, to me Runecrafting is a lot easier to do than Fletching and Firemaking, cooking isnt so bad, but even still. They're definatly tough to stick with and anyone who has them deserves some admiration. The fact that anyone can stick with a skill long enough to get 99 in it deserves recognition, its not an easy thing, and it takes some serious dedication. Grats to all those who have accomplished this, and to all those who will in the future.

Theres only one problem with this. What about the people who have an extremly high total (in the 2000's) but 1 very low level. Say they dont do summoning and are level 1 in that skill, that takes out their ability to get into a world just because they choose not to do that one skill by personal preferance, and will still have a much higher total than a good portion of the people in that world. I have a few friends that refuse to do summoning. They feel that it makes the game too easy and decided they wouldnt do it, unless they max out their accounts and have nothing left to do. These people would be excluded from the high total level worlds, because of that?

WOW, Ok - lets see... first off - for all of you who are like "Guys are guys, and girls are guys, there are no girls on the internet" you all need to SHUT UP. I am a girl and I play runescape, there are girls on runescape, and all you're doing is ticking them off, and for that matter, why would you want to piss a girl off, its not exactly smart. and as for the internet relationships thing, I believe that you truely can meet some great people online, you can have amazing friends, some of them in time can become closer than real life friends, however, having a friend and dating someone online are totally different things. Runescape isnt a dating service - like has been stated, but there is nothing at all wrong with having a great relationship with someone online. However, once it moves on to dating, you have to take a step back and think about what you're doing. anyway, as for the main thing this topic was about, the whole "Do you wanna be my GF" thing gets old, fast. Ive been playing runescape for a very long time, and theres always those little immature boys that see my girl character and walk up and start asking me to be their gf. This is just plain annoying, and Ill admit when I first started playing the game, creeped me out a bit - because i was rather young. Now I try to just ignore it and walk away, but everyonce in a while, it just makes me mad that I cant just play the game without having a bunch of people 1. either telling me that im not a girl, even though I know i am or 2. asking me out / to marry them. Take the time to realize that there are girls on runescape, and they're just as good, if not better than you boys, and that they should be respected, and not brought down by denying that they are what they are.
