  1. I put in the tips and tricks section a way to train before taking on Dharok with no prayer. I used to take on dharok with guthans on, but one day I decided to bring an ahrims top and its been working out so far, I have yet to splash since making the switch. Yeah, I have been playing off and on since the Runescape Classic days. Sadly the amount of trips I've done doesn't accurately represent how wealthy I am lol. I kept giving away stuff each time I've quit back when we had the ability. My best friend takes on Dharok with no prayer sometimes using the Slayer Dart method. I keep telling him he's playing with fire but its worked out for him so far lol. I used to use veracs on DH and just gun it no pray until the time I almost died. Now I only no pray if I'm ancienting too. And to the above above poster, if dh gets you down to 1-100hp, you're in a lot of trouble if you can't eat fast enough before you get k0'ed.
  2. Really good looking guide. I haven't read through it all yet. One thing is I wouldn't recommend novices no pray dharok, especially if they don't have 94 mage. Cool that you went back into the archive to see when Barrows was released? I made a forum post for it's fifth birthday earlier this year on the Runescape forums and it got flamed pretty bad. 1,000-1,500 trips is a pretty good barrows count. I find that 1,000 trips takes me 150-200 hours, with a profit of 200-400m.
  3. Well they did take two and a half years to develop dungeoneering. They continually stalled the release date for a year and promised a great, new, inventive skill like nothing we'd ever seen before. Then I think they gave up and released a mini-game in it's place.
  4. Elysian is around 1.1b street and Divine is around 1.6 or 1.7b. Both are hard to obtain either way, unless you have partyhats or other high street valued items. Obviously their grand exchange price isn't very different. You could try merchanting frost dragon bones? You have to get familiar with item(s) and now how you can flip them :).
  5. The average age is actually the average age people put down as their age. Considering our mental disabilities, we like to lie :).
  6. I just did the wildy course all the way to 70. I know people who just preferred wildy course even all the way to 99. A penance horn really helps for training agility! :)
  7. Yeah it's just the luck of the draw. Jagex hasn't updated in the farming besides the fairytale quests for a long long time. And it really needs an update! With 99 farming I do toadflax or kwuarm and more often than not have one patch dead.
  8. I'm going to try to give you the best answer I can come up with here: Free up most of your money for merchanting in the grand exchange, some easy commonly sold item, so you'll see a return of at least 1m or 2m on it a day, more as you make more money. Kill spiritual mages for clue and dragon boots drops, solo a few bandos kills a day, do some whip hunting and some barrows. Combine all this together to make sure you're making 3m+ a day. Then once you have the max price for a divine SIGIL, try to snipe it off the grand exchange by continually putting offer for max in grand exchange within 5 seconds of the price updates. Sigil goes up in ge every day because the shield itself is made from the sigil and the bss, which goes up or down in price every day, both pieces together must equal the price of the shield which doesn't often update in price. Some new updates coming out may be better for money, like elite clues etc. I wouldn't suggest corping, you'll never get what you want. This isn't a short-term goal from where you're at right now, decide if you really want to devote the time to this, there are rumors a dragon defender is coming out soon.
  9. If you're not lagging, then maybe you're exaggerating always being the one who loses the mini war over the iron ore?
  10. Here's one chicken feather... At a graduation party. On holiday in Miami. I'd ask to index these but I'm not sure what index is yet. Oh thanks. I should have pressed "show" :).
  11. I always see it everywhere. People just go around with this cavalier attitude. It irritates me sometimes more than other times. Younger and younger people play, the game gets bigger and lower leveled players get membership, all combining to create the current state of the community. Right at this moment on RS someone asked to borrow my shield multiple times, I said no and he called me a "noob".
  12. Most people just fish monkfish because of the money and xp. I know fishing monkfish is better cash than fishing sharks, especially at 88 fishing.
  13. The 1000+ worlds don't really seem to do much of anything. In members, that's not that high. The same problems that people would want a level total world for are still present. The 60's and the 70's ask tons of questions and have the boldness to ask for borrows and levels for gear. 1500+ would help with that a lot. 2000+ and the world would be dead though.. lol.
  14. I don't go speed dating or go on a kick to meet new people very often. The people I meet are associates at school or friends of friends. I have to do a lot of group projects at school so it means a lot of dealing with other people. When it depends on a grade, I don't care what they look like as long as they can work. As a few people have mentioned, hygiene and taking care of ones self is more important than looks in my book. They can't do better than the best they can do with what they have. The personalities end up being much more important in long relationships with someone. At first meet, I'll probably be more alert around someone I find attractive. They could be unattractive and intelligent and able to challenge me in areas I care about to keep me on my toes as well though.
  15. 70 range is helpful? Just a suggestion.

    Why?

I know someone who bought two blues along with his clan when they bought out the GE months ago. An organized effort to hold rares hostage started months ago. It's no coincidence having to do with PVP that phats have been on the rise for months now. Whips and godswords are mostly the direct consequence of the faults in PVP. I chose a partyhat for an example of price manipulation because it has been on the rise for months straight. Perfect example of an item or group of items held hostage by manipulators.
  17. It doesn't sound like you've really changed. You lost some weight and have some girls after you. She knew you before you were depressed and she passed you up for this guy who's known as a jerk. It doesn't sound like you've had some metamorphosis. She decided to date the jerk over the pudgier, less popular you. She wants a relationship now. Ask yourself what's really changed? If she wants a relationship she passed up on a year ago with you now because you lost weight and got popular, that's no basis for a healthy relationship. Ask yourself why all your friends think she's a flirt? If you think about it objectively for a moment, you might realize she's just the flirt who chose the jerk over you when she had the chance.

    Why?

The people at Jagex don't actually have to play their own game. Nearly all of their members will still pay for the game and the long term effects of manipulation clans doesn't really affect that. They don't see it as a big problem because most have stopped caring about the overall quality of the game. They cared in the earlier days of the game when they were trying to cultivate members, player feedback was valuable to them. These manipulation clans are a huge problem to those who actually play the game. Take a look at the price of Purple Phats for example. They were 67m towards the beginning of the year and now they're 260m. This didn't happen organically. It was forced by clans buying up and holding on to all of the them, for no other reason than to hold the item hostage to make money off of it. All of these items will eventually crash and the effect of this spills over into most items in the game. These are people working directly against Jagex. Until Jagex realizes that, we all suffer.
  19. It's pretty easy to get to Jad. That's the extremely easy part. Some people get to Jad and have no problem with him and then others take multiple tries. You'll be able to get a fire cape with your levels. It's more about practice and knowledge.
