  1. It's almost as bad now, because people who bot aren't gold farmers, they're just lazy.
  2. Like I said, sharing your level 9 stat is like a teenager coming out of the bathroom and saying "I made a poopie" and expecting everyone to congratulate him. Reading is an accomplishment that makes you more intelligent, and takes months to learn and years to perfect. Grinding woodcutting for a couple hours and leveling up isn't an accomplishment, even less of one by comparison to learning to read. The lvl 9 thing was an exaggeration. And whether or not it is as big as reading, 80 woodcutting is still an accomplishment.
  3. I'm sorry for you though, the end of your story made me sad.

Umm, we want to kill the pigs, not make more
  5. It used to be a Str Pure but then i got bored and trained it a little more Lol, stay on topic people.
  6. Only thing to do is return it. And if you can't do that, complain to whomever you bought it from. But really, you should make sure you know what you're purchasing.
  7. And so whats wrong with it staying like that? Why do all combat skills have to rip your enemies to shreds and burn them to the ground? Why cant magic just occasionally freeze, reduce the players stats, and do many non-cb related things? If anything its overpowered because its so versatile. The support skills are supposed to be Prayer and Summoning. That's why they are not indirectly part of the triangle. Magic, Range, and Melee are supposed to be the main skills. And at the moment, the triangle isn't looking too equilateral in F2P. not that great in P2p to tell the truth.

Well, that would have worked, but he needed those two minutes RIGHT THEN. And that stew better have been good enough to die for...pun intended.

I wonder how a chinchompa would taste...

Yea, I agree with that. I understand what you're saying about the new tutorial. Tutorial Island actually TAUGHT you Runescape. This stupid thing teaches you nothing about skills, fighting, questing. It teaches you to drug a dragon...whoopee. I feel like I've gotten stupider after doing it.

I had that happen at Jad too. I only got him down to 3/4 health, but I had enough pots; and i was completely focused and calm....until of course I turned on my computer and was outside of the Fight Cave.
  12. Plus there is the fact that you actually have to do the math and plan it out for Slayer. And you have to constantly be aware. For HP, just hit controlled and cruise through it.
  13. They've already stated that they will not make more than one GE. Besides, theres already tons of way to get to it easily; mine carts, spirit trees, edgeville, varrock teleport. How easy do you want it? Oh, and do you remember the lag of W2 west bank varrock?
  14. Interestingly enough, Lorica is untrimmed summoning cape, Slayerbelle is first untrimmed slayer cape, Ellebreyals is 10hp with 99 slayer, and Villandra is a maxed account. And they are all the same person. Don't forget Ellebreyals is 10 hp 99 range, mage, summoning, slayer and cons :o I've seen 2 untrimed slayer, loads of untrimmed hp and 0 untrimmed summoning And yet very few people consider him/her the best at RuneScape....if he/she had a lvl 3 skiller, he'd/she'd have pretty much done everything there is to do in RuneScape.
  15. I don't have 99 Cooking yet, but the first thing I'm going to say is: "(sigh) What a waste...."
  16. Although I prefer tanking, I like it when my opponent runs. It is so fun to hunt them down and destroy them....MUAHAHA! running around getting destroyed...not so much fun

I didn't do the Halloween event, but you people make it sound horrible I do regret getting that spider though. The lag to me seems to the holiday spirit. I mean it wouldn't be a Runescape Christmas without the entire population rushing to finish it the at the same time as you, would it?
  18. So very true, Jagex even banned Extreme Potions because of them. I mean, honestly, how can you complain about a non-Combat skill affecting your PKing? It doesn't do anything to your precious Combat level. I mean I feel Jagex is taking one step forward and two steps back just to please people.
  19. Haha, thanks for the definition. By the way, awesome quote in your sig.
  20. Well, balancing it requires an update. The last major F2P update was...Runecrafting...back in 2003.
  21. Smithing makes armour to fight with and crafting makes the jewelery you wear. Firemaking was meant to be a gold sink. Once you burn the log, there's no way to profit or get it back. This way is stabilizes the economy. As in, useless from a single player perspective. Other than for the sake of leveling, theres no real point of having smithing at all, you don't make profit from it, it just costs you money, just like firemaking does. Plus, firemaking is needed for more useful quests :D I had 49 smithing a lvl 15 combat because I was too stupid to go buy steel armor and was determined to get full steel. When I learned you could buy every piece in a store I was pissed though. Regardless, it was my most valuable skill at the time, while being my most neglected now. Firemaking was generally neglected back in the day; but now it is useful for the inferno adze, the hand cannon, and of course a cheap skillcape.
  22. In-game, generally I'll respect the higher-levels, just because it is obvious they have been playing longer, therefore have gained more wisdom. But if a lvl 11 comes up to me in F2P and gives me advice on how to improve my Barrows run, I'll gladly accept their advice; they probably know what they're talking about. On Forums, I generally respect the ones who use good grammar(or well grammar, whatever). But even then, there is bias. How do I know English is their first language? Maybe they don't even know English and just use a translator? You can't really judge people online as well as you think you can.
  23. Disadvantageous I'll use myself as an example. I just want a skillcape for the sake of having. And of course I chose to get cooking, mostly because it is easy, cheap, and I can do it in F2P. Having a skillcape makes you feel elite, but it cheapens the value for others. I probably won't even wear mine; it'll just sit in the back of my bank until I can get a fletching or fire cape to trim it for a +4 pray boost. And the grand exchange is responsible for the raw/cooked food issue. It makes it so easy to get raw products; it makes sense finished products cost less. Another thing is that players who previously liked to have balanced skills, now have them totally lopsided. using me as an example, I used to have generally balanced skills across the board, but now my 92 Cooking towers over my lvl 60 average skills.

A good thing to do when browsing forums/watching movie or whatever is to keep your sound on so you know when to reclick the tree. The constant chopping noise may drive you insane...but that's the price to pay for 99 woodcutting
  25. Ok, well the whole point of the mint cake, is that its price is static. Its street value is 10M in this case. We don't really care about Jagex's price, because we found a way to get around that with junk trading. It acts as an insurance, because no matter what happens to other items, this will always be the same. 1 gold coin=1 gold coin; 1 mint cake=10M. ALWAYS. This is good for people who max out their money and need something valuable that will always hold it's value. I'm not really sure about anything I just wrote, so correct me if I'm wrong. I've never taken an econ class. Oh yea, and a mint cake is a reward from the gnome restaurant minigame. There should be a guide on Tip.it
