US Gay Marriage Ban Challenged in Federal Court
Apologies to Nick for my overreaction. And I am a devote Catholic, but I see this gay marriage thing as a rather beneficial thing. I hope perhaps people do less aborting because gays will want to adopt children, that way lives are saved. Just a thought. But I hate discrimination laws. If someone gets mugged and the person who did the wrong is getting tried, why should they be charged with more if the person was gay/racially different or not? Is not the crime bad anyway? Discrimination laws probably instill more reason for discrimination.

US Gay Marriage Ban Challenged in Federal Court
You're rather ignorant and spiteful. I'm religious and I have nothing wrong with gay people getting bond together, let them have a civil marriage, union, whatever you want to call it. All I ask is that it is not expected to be performed in a church or temple or worship where gay marriage is not permitted.

I like the girls that tease and play hard to get. A reward is always sweeter when it is obtained through a good chase.

US Gay Marriage Ban Challenged in Federal Court
I have nothing against the gays but why force it upon society to have them titled "married"? I would have no problem with gay people pursuing civil unions but it is unfair for them to use a legal system to wrench a sacrament in many religions to be given to them. Homosexuals are as much human beings as heterosexuals with no question but I find it just a greedy way to obtain something kept for the sanctity between a man and woman. It really makes you question if it's rather less for love and more for legal benefits... And if they are allowed to change the definition of marriage to between a man and a man or woman and a woman, then why can I not legally marry to 2 people at the same time if the definition of marriage is already being altered?

Lose some fat
My dad is a gastrointerologist who I always hear him say the same thing. Since he has a lot of old patients he can't tell them to go out and run and lift weights. So he tells them portion and light exercise. Your exercising can consist of just taking a walk to the grocery store instead of driving there. And as for food, are those 24 mountain dew really necessary? Try trimming them down one by one and switching to something with less sugar and caffeine, although don't drink artificiality sweetened stuff. Instead of having a triple patty burger, go down to a double or better yet try a grilled chicken sandwich. Don't super size the fries. Avoid simple carbs like potato chips and get complex carbs which keep you filled and fueled. And you can still eat the same things at home during a meal, but it's the small things that make the difference. For instance a baked potato alone is healthy eating, but when you add butter, sour cream and bacon >.> heart attack and fat. Lastly if you're 6'3" and 190 I don't think you need to lose 50lb. Maybe like 25lb. I'm 5'11" and I'm 155lb and I'm told I'm a twig all the time.

Pshhhh of course. That's why when you do the quest Shades of Morton, the hammer is called Flamtaer's hammer, which you use to rebuild his temple.

POLL: How many days have you spent online RuneScape?
Ive had this account, the only Runescape account I use, for the last 6years and it has exactly 99days on it. I bet at least one of those days of playtime is my OCD habit of talking with my friends, but I'll keep my RS window open and shake the mouse once it a while not to log off. I have no clue why.

Coffee Cup Analogy
I've always liked this story. I think I've read it before on StumbleUpon. It has its element of truth. I'd rather say though coffee isn't life, it's a happy life, because even though you might have a gold cup, the coffee can still taste horrible.

Str vs Atk vs Def
Well I have 86 attack, strength and defence because I find it pretty important to have it balanced, but if I had to pick one defense would definitely be my choice. DEF>ATT>STR

New Year's resolutions?
I have a few: -Finish needing my Arabic tutor. -Read more often for my own luxury cuz the books I want to read just keep piling up. -Get back into fencing. -Start drawing and writing poetry again, I need to find an alternative source of inspiration instead of despair, apathy and annoyance. -Try to be friends with my old friends.

Reading
I like to read mythology, history, philosophy and historical documents... I know, I'm a nerd :P I organize my books into "books to read", "Approved", "meh" and "I was forced to read these for school...". In my approved section some of the books I have is The Prophet, 1984, the Ugly American and The Scarlet Letter. In my to read section I have a lot... I wish I had more time to read, some of them are: The Divine Comedy, Atlas Shrugged, Liberal Fascism, The Social Contract In my meh section: Mein Kampf, The Communist Manifesto, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. In my "I was forced to read these for school..." section: a bunch of crap I wish I didn't read, but the worst of all.... Near a Thousand Tables... if you have to read it... just don't.

Your Favorite Runescape God - Poll
I like to be different, I like the mysterious and little-known-about deity. This is why I pick Flamtaer, god of cremation, death, fire, shadows, and so I'd like to think god of those who travel in shadows, i.e. assassins and thieves :P I did a quick sketch for visual conception, but I'm so mad cuz I had to ruin it by making the outline and details darker because it wasn't getting picked up by my scanner now it looks like a friggin 4yr old drew it. Yes, this way of thinking is entirely irrelevant to us, here and now-- because we feel as if we are choosing what we do. But it's completely relevant if we face an eternity of punishment for our decisions. On a scale as grand as one with a Universal creator and an eternal afterlife, these things need to be taken into account--because the implication is that we were created to go somewhere based on... what? You'd think it'd be the choices you make, but really, it's not. To say that we had free, free will, and that we could change the shape and function of different parts of our brains at our wills would be to ascribe God-like qualities to us. We aren't supposed to be able to shift the laws of physics with our mind. As for the religions in which, yes, the majority of humanity is already destined for Hell-- would you, if you were a heaven-goer, feel bad about this? Would you try and act to help the Hell-goers, and try to defy God (however futile this action may be?). That is what is what the Communion of Saints is for in the Catholic Church & several other churches. They defy, because that would be disrespectful and constitute an evil action since God is good, they intercede on behalf of those souls in need. Now this discussion is going from logic to misinterpretation/interpretation of wording recalled from thought and very poorly translated from its original language. To completely understand the meaning of what is meant by the different Churches you must know the mentality in which each word is said. A good example of that would be "believe". When stated that you must believe in Him or you'll burn, people normally think of the definition of to believe IN, but it is more along the lines of having confidence in the assertions of morals rather then needing to be persuaded of His existence. And oh no, the Copts found Tip.It 0.0.... How do they keep finding me ....lol

I find it funny that you use that quote. There's actually a debated that started back on on exactly what they mean by someone who "believes" in God. In my understanding of theology I say "believe" is just used as someone who accepts good (and since God=good, they except God by extension without having to believe in the presence of God). But yes I rather like your post :P

To Fadooda's Question: I am a Maronite. We are Christians under the jurisdiction of the Patriarch of Antioch and he is in communion with the Bishop of Rome, technically because of this I am an "Eastern Rite" Catholic. Our teachings are retained intact from the way Jesus mentioned them, uncorrupted by Latin thought, and we are educated to be leaders in matters of law & war, expansive in knowledge and do good to as many people regardless of allegiance of religion. Sadly there's only 3.1mil Maronites left. But someone who I find who is exemplar of the Maronite way, he himself was a Maronite, actor Danny Thomas who founded St. Jude. Sorry for off-topicness.

Oh yay! Tighter airport security

Oh yay! Tighter airport security
Statically speaking it would be a correct statement but statics disregard contributing factor and population amount.

To say we have been made in a tableau of sin is a rather pessimistic assumption. Humans are not intrinsically evil. Naturally a human demonstrates both traits of destruction to others and the will to help others grow. In terms of science, it would only make sense as evolutionary traits, since we are social animals, to say humans lean towards more the nurturing of others because we try to help our entire society advance. When you say He crafts us, that he does. But he does not add details. He creates our possibility to live, He created whatever materials that evolved into the modern world. He does not choose our actions, He does not choose who shall be right and who shall be wrong. And because God is an infinite and unrestricted being He need not use arbitration or a set standard to judge all people. If He was to judge people, He would go by each and everyone's sincerity. Sinning is human and everyone does it. "The first shall be last and the last shall be first" may sound familiar to you. It references those who are "holy" will not necessarily be as great as those who sinned and committed heavy wrongs and were judged by the "holy people" but in the end they tried to do what was right and do good. As I said in my previous post, God doesn't have the sense of "justice" humans have.
